The scallops--whatever season--on the menu are what they do best. The halibut was tasty but dry on this occasion. However, I would always recommend this restaurant above all others in Northville.
Celebrated our 25th anniversary at Table 5 this week. Food was fantastic and the waiter was great. We had a romaine salad, gazpacho, scallops and fish, all was outstanding. We will be back!
Great food and service and in a great spot in downtown Northvile.
Good was good as usual. Service was not, which was unfortunate, as it took away from the usually great experience.
Service was slow the food sub- par and the small gnats everywhere made for an awful dinner
Delicious food! Went with another couple for dinner and everyone loved their meal.
Atmosphere is combination of casual and dressy. Some people in shorts, and wait staff in jeans, but cloth tablecloths and napkins, candles on tables. Can show up casual or dressed up. Limited but very good menu. Filet mignon and halibut were excellent. Excellent service and food.
Did not received great service the few times I’ve been there. Very slow service. Sat for awhile before putting in a drink order. Also came with some friends and dinner took about 3 hours to get through for dinner and dessert.
Awesome time, great food, exceptional service!
First visit and won't be our last. Every single part of this dinner was excellent. Wait staff friendly to us but no too friendly, and they were friendly/kind to each other. Salad was delicious, main courses amazing- servings were appropriately sized, not huge. Dessert was some of the best desserts we've had in recent memory. Gooey butter cake and pot de creme - I make both of these items at home and these were spot on. Love it, my new favorite restaurant.
Many entree choices were tempting, hard to decide. Delicious lamb chops and halibut, salad, cocktails and desserts. Wonderful service and great dining experience all the way around.
Fantastic place to meet friends or enjoy a great meal!!
Table 5 is a great local restaurant. Food and service are always great. Food is fresh and has excellent flavor. Can be pricey but worth the trip. Especially when there is entertainment in downtown Northville.
Excellent food and cocktails in a great location. The service was unobtrusively helpful and responsive, even on a very busy night. Northville has a charming downtown and Table 5 is centrally located.
We were disappointed with the service on Saturday night. Table 5 was very busy and consequently the service suffered. We ate outside which was lovely and the food was delicious however, my Husband who is not a fan of polenta, asked if it could be substituted with the potato gratin, was told “No” as the kitchen is too busy which surprised us both. The service was painfully slow as if we had been forgotten about. Our wine & water glasses spent most of the night empty waiting to be filled. Our server did not replenish our silverware after our appetiser and I had to wait 10 minutes for a fork after our entrees had been served, Paul & I shared his fork during that time. Our server then offered us more bread which we accepted however, we had finished our meal by the time it was brought to us.
We do sincerely love table five and frequent often. The seasonal and local flair brings us back again and again. My only point of concern is the overall length of time the meal takes when with a larger group. This past time we dined there, we had a table of six and waited a good 30 mins before drinks were brought to the table. Not a large issue as we did catch up with our friends but something to be aware of as other larger groups are seated.
Delicious food and wonderful service! I couldn’t be more pleased with our meal.
Quite over priced. Service was horrible which set a tone for the meal. Food was a little unique for our tastes but tasty.
Family get together!
Excellent food, good service and a comfortable setting. We’ll be back.
Food and service was good, understaffed and bar was very slow
We were treated to another great meal and great service as we had dinner as kids were off to the Prom. Our server, Cory, did another fantastic job!!!
Had a wonderful time dining on the outdoor patio. Our server - Mike , was very attentive and courteous as always, and Mishelle the owner, was very gracious and welcoming.
Our meals were all delicious - 2 of us tried the “3 for $25” menu and were surprised with the portions in each course - more than satisfying! The other 2 meals - Veal Milanese and Halibut were wonderful as well ( the Halibut never disappoints!!).
All in all it was a great evening - Chef Brandon even stopped by to say hello and check on our meals. Highly recommend!!
The risotto was cold. Very disappointed probably won’t be back.
Very good meals!'!!!!'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were celebrating our 44th anniversary
We wanted a quiet place with exquisite options and reasonable value
We were extremely satisfied at Table 5.
From our mussels to salads, steaks and scallops, we could not of chosen a better place.
The service was very attentive to my wife’s gluten allergy’s
Cocktails were reasonably priced.
Looking forward to going back
Table 5 is my favorite restaurant, I try to go at least once a month. The best dessert is the butter cake....be sure to order it even if you have to share, it's amazing!
The staff at Table 5 never disappoint. They remember us and give good food and drink recommendations and are pleasant. The service is good as is the food. If you want to sit in the bar, try to make a reservation or go early as the seats fill up fast.
This is the second time I have been to this restaurant. The food is good, however, the service is very slow and seems to be lacking. We spent over 3 hours, most of the time waiting on the waiter to come by and either get extra water, or drinks or the next course. There were many groups of people there for special events but the restaurant would have known this ahead of time as you need a reservation for larger groups due to the size of the restaurant itself. The food was great and the desert, buttercake was mouth-watering.
I have Never had a less than an outstanding meal here.
Table 5 continues to live up to all expectations, great food, ambience and service.
My husband and I ordered calamari to start. It was good but not great - needed to be crispier but the sauce was delicious. I ordered the Blue Marlin special and my husband ordered the Halibut dinner. My halibut was amazing - cooked perfectly and the pineapple salsa and jasmine rice were the perfect accompaniments. My husband’s was also delicious but he felt it was too heavy for the season. Dessert was strawberry shortcake and it was not worth the calories - didn’t love the ice cream and needed more strawberries. Should have ordered the gooey butter cake!
Mike was our server and was excellent, very attentive! Veal was delicious and blue marlin was fantastic
We went to Table 5 before going to the Fisher Theater. I ordered the wedge salad, but I pulled a "When Harry Met Sally" on the waiter. I asked for the salad chopped, with the "soft boiled" egg on a separate plate, and Caesar dressing instead of bleu cheese. The waiter was very efficient and courteous. The egg was hard boiled, even better, in my opinion. I chopped the yolk and added it to the salad. It was excellent. My husband enjoyed the coleslaw. We both ordered the filet, medium rare, which was done to tender perfection. They came with scalloped potatoes and three asparagus spears. Everything was so good! There was no room for dessert. It was a perfect before-theater meal!
The scallops were great, the rest of food was just so so. Service was mediocre. Cappuccinos were served in a shot glass ( very small ) and six dollars apiece and they weren’t even hot. Dessert was good. The place was a little dirty, they should pay attention to details for the prices they’re charging. Expensive for what you get.
Everyone in our party selected a fish entry and each dish was cooked to perfection! The service was excellent and the setting was what you'd expect from a neighborhood gem - comfortable but still nicer than the average restaurant.
Table 5 is our absolute favorite! Food is always delicious and the staff are truly the best! Table 5 is great for a special occasion, date night or just hanging with good friends.
Food was, as always very good. First time I’ve used open table to make reservation. Indicated (a) it was our Anniversay and (b) asked for window table. I understand inability to accommodate window but there was (a) no acknowledgement of Anniversary, (b) we were seated at very farthest 2 top at back of restaurant and (c) wait staff was slow with bread then drinks. He was very nice but not a five star wait staff. Overall, it was disappointing on our Anniversay to not have our expectations met or exceeded.
Took a long time to get drinks, and service was generally slow.
Food was excellent.
We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Table 5 in Northville, Michigan. The food was very good and our server made great recommendations. They even gave us a free dessert to make our evening meal perfect. A wonderful restaurant for a quiet dinner with good food.
