All great as usual!
We ordered the seafood tower as well as shared the Nicoise salad and beef tartare. All were excellent. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. Great value for the quality of service and food we enjoyed. Thank you!
We always have a top notch experience at Tableau! The food and service is awesome. Thank you for making my friend feel special on her birthday!
Always a great restaurant to be for lunch, happy hour or dinner. Great hospitality!
Everything was excellent! food, drinks, service, ambiance, i loved it all. Legitimately one of the best meals i have ever had at a VERY reasonable price. Definitely going back. Nate our server had amazing recommendations and compliments to the chef, he absolutely killed it.
Excellent classic French menu with solid, not weird and yet far from boring, tasty choices.
A great place. My girlfriend and I have enjoyed the food and all.
Amazing service and food
The Mushrooms on Toast will always bring me back, excellent overall
Food was well prepared. We all had the steak and frites. Service was prompt and good follow-up, without being overbearing.
I have been here many times and always have a great meal. Pretty good value. They had a special Bourdeaux event going on and all the Bourdeaux wine was 30% off. That made it more affordable.
Burger and frites for happy hour was great value! Waiter was knowledgeable and friendly.
The best place to enjoy a lunch/dinner in Vancouver. Always great
Good service and value. We enjoyed the evening and were pleased with the service, the food , and the atmosphere.
Great service. Food outstanding. Solid date spot. Music could’ve been louder.
Brunch was amazing. We love to get the “Le Grand Mamosa“pitcher and enjoy it with a fantastic meal. Best truffle fries and all the Vancouver.
This is a yes and no recommendation. I always thought tableua was a more upscale restaurant, though not like Market and more like Yew restauraunt. Little things we noticed, like allowing patrons in hoodies, using only 1 set of knife (instead of a butter knife for bread and butter), the lack of creativityin the plating, and general ambience. I was hear a few years ago and then it felt more intimate, vibrant, and a hidden gem. Now it feels more like a shell of it's former self. I can't say for the value since we had a set menu, but the main course was good. The ahi tuna felt bland and the desert was nice.
I absolutely loved the food and service here. Our server was very prompt and gave us great suggestions for side pairings. The mushroom on toast was delicious! I’d say it was a little bit on the louder side, but overall, loved it.
Quiet upscale Bistro with excellent food and service -
-good value for money
-food average but no complaints
-nevertheless, would return again
Loved the duck!! Loved the champagne by the glass!!
Our reservation was for 6:30 pm. I walked in and the music was blaring. Which meant that customers who were having conversations were shouting at each other to be heard over the music. The loudness was unpleasant and unnecessary. While waiting for my friend I seriously considered figuring out some place else we could have dinner. She arrived and immediately said “well this gets crossed off the list for a return visit.”
The food was excellent, the service was great. But it’s not a place to go if you want to catch up with a friend. Probably fine if you spend much of dinner scrolling your phone rather than trying to interact with people at your table.
This all could be easily remedied by keeping the music to a low whisper. Unless the vision statement of the restaurant is “A place to go have dinner with others when you don’t want to talk to each other.” But if so, you should post that on your website. It could be a great marketing tool.
Good afternoon Nancy and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Thank you for your nice comments on our food and service. But clearly I MUST apologize for the music being at such and inadequate level that it took away from your experience, I was by no means intended. I have reviewed your comments with my leadership team to ensure no other guests has to suffer form such a situation and I truly hope you will give us another chance! Sincerely, Olivier General Manager
Always good good and attentive service. Very busy and noisy.
Luved it! Loud but did calm down little later. We’ll be back :-)
Great meal and service. All was wonderful until my hubby's wallet was stolen from his jacket pocket at the restaurant.
The Arctic Char special was very good. Service was good. I made reservations for three people and the three of us were squeezed into a table meant for two people. There were several tables for four with three people seated at them. They looked comfortable. We were not. I asked if there was another table available and was told there were none. I would have preferred for them to have told me a table for three was not available for the time we had requested. We would have come at another time or on another day.
Very good generally but music was a bit loud and of a less appropriate genre.
Noise level was very manageable.
Table was a little small to accommodate 2 people.
Incredible meal and service, as per usual. This is a fantastic spot!
Our food was not really hot and mine was ok but not a lot of flavour- I had the Arctic char special. Perfectly cooked though. Service was very nice and the bistro atmosphere is lovely. I will go back.
Good service, Food was not worth what we paid and frankly a little disappointing even excluding the price as a factor.
I asked the server what type of Gin do they serve. He asked what I wanted. He went to the bar and asked. He came back to tell me didn’t have it. I asked what he had. He had to go back to the bar again as he still didn’t know.
The prices are high, but worth it for the quality of food. Nice atmosphere but this is the second I’ve been here in a few weeks and the service last time was also was not aligned to the quality of the food.
The music was a little too loud. I am all for music helping to build the ambiance but when you cannot clearly hear the person opposite you on the table without shouting, it is a little too much.
The food was very good as was the service.
Adding a chocolate mousse to the dessert menu would definitely bring us back.
Shout out to Carter behind the bar! Great job!
My only complaint is the noise level which it seems to me would not be that hard to remedy I the room with some sound baffling.
The food is fantastic.
We always have a great experience at Tableau. Excellent service, food and ambiance.
The food was just excellent and our server made helpful recos that delighted our tastebuds!
We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a spectacular experience. Our server was very knowledgable and his service was much appreciated. Everything we ordered was on point and delicious. Fresh oysters and Mushrooms on toast to start, Trout Almondine and Pan Roasted Duck for mains. We were served a fabulous house made cheesecake paired with a dessert wine on the house on the occasion of our anniversary! The room is classic modern with flair, and yes, one of the cleanest restaurant washrooms in the city!
We LOVE Tableau! Love the service, and the amazing food (steak frites is always cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of char, steak tartare is so tasty, and drench onion soup is a flavour bomb!). My go to when guests come and I love that it’s a hidden gem and not too many people know about it still. Totally underrated and seriously delicious and not greasy French food
Thank you for the lovely comments Anonymous! We are looking forward to host you again soon! Olivier
