Great service. Nathan was our waiter, and he did a fantastic job. The ambiance was great. The food was awsome. I heard from Nathan that they just hired a new chef, and she has been adjusting the old menu. I would totally go back after after Vancouver dine out because we were told that the restaurant will be introducing a new menu.
My family had a great time there! I would totally recommend this place to everyone!
The roasted chicken was very tasty, the steak was a little tough.
As always Tableau provided a warm and welcoming experience as well as excellent food and wine. The service as usual was superb.
The service on our first visit was disappointing but the meal was so good we e decided to try Tableau again. So glad we did- Nate, our server, was charming, knowledgeable and attentive. Will definitely be returning!
Great wine pairing recommendations, & overall food/service was great. The tables in the back are not so close to others, so it was a good vibe, but still ‘private’
Tableau always does a great job and their servers are well trained and lovely. Food is delicious, great wines, nice cocktails, inhvibrant room.
A little bit too dark in the restaurant for my preference making my company and myself a little bit fatigued. Music was mellow as well so it didn't help. Food was mediocre. I had the mussels and fries. Mussels were cleaned well but flavour was lacking. Fries were the good point but a little bit salty. Only positive was the service, the waitress was friendly and attentive.
The hostess makes the first impression at any restaurant. It was a Thursday night at 9pm so the place wasn’t busy at all. 4 or 5 tables max. The hostess decided to put me and my date at the last table by the wall. Cramped and dark. Really? There are booths available and I want to talk to my date. Not sit 8 inches away from the other table. We requested a booth and got it but it should have been common sense.
Food was good. We ordered bubbles and our server forgot it. He comped it but still. It’s not even busy and he forgot the drinks?
The happy hour oysters were good. I would go back for happy hour.
Had a wonderful brunch with four of us. Everyone was very happy with their food. Service was great except our two gals ordered drinks and it was a while before they arrived. It wasn't very busy so I don't know what happened. other then that all was good and we will be back and our friends whom had never been there said they will be back for sure. Thanks.
Everything was great, except the server had a communication error on one of our orders so we ended up getting an extra dish and one person was consequently served late. All in all great lunch though, and the extra food didn't hurt!
Tableau is my favourite downtown Vancouver lunch spot - I order the Steak Frites every time and it never disappoints!
The tastiest food and all around great experience! The servers were interesting and interested. Will definitely be back.
We had a really delicious dinner at this restaurant! Our group tried the chicken and trout entrees, very nicely prepared. We also tried two desserts-the creme brule was excellent and cherry cheesecake good but very sweet. We had excellent service by Trish who was attentive but not overpowering. Nice comfortable bistro style environment, could get noisy with full house. Would definitely come back!
The ambience is great - kind of dark, warm and cozy at night. Service was excellent. They happily accommodated our request to move tables. The steak frites was the best ever. Cooked perfectly with a very flavourful peppery sauce.
Great place to eat. Unfortunately the lamb shank special was over dry and cold. In hindsight a special should be fresh and freshly made. This tasted as if it was an old reconstituted meal. Bad choice (bad to offer it) switched to the boulllobaise ... that was good.
We had a lovely special birthday dinner. Food was amazing..the Coquilles St Jacques were just so good...the staff are professional and so friendly, really lovely experience.
Great selection of French bistro foods, well executed, pleasant plating, delicious, served by a young French-speaking person anxious to enhance our experience.
Everything was just great! Food and drinks plus lovely atmosphere.
The French waiter is hot hot hot. I want to eat him up!
A table was not available on arrival and I had to wait at the bar. Being alone it often is the place the restaurants want to leave you. Even if you have no wish to pick a conversation with the bar help!
The lobster as evening special was a half petite
Food quality has improved in the last couple of weeks.
Our server, Jose, was great. In the reservation, I indicated that we were celebrating a birthday which was not acknowledged at all. It's no biggie but wouldve been a nice touch. Missed opportunity to engage. The food was great. This was on point. This particular evening, it was exceptionally bright in the restaurant which ruined the ambiance for us. We were dressed up and felt like we were in a cafeteria.
Came here on a whim as it was close to my friend's work. Knew nothing about it. I was very happy to have found this place. The service is amazing with great recommendations. The food was great quality and good portions for French food. Will definitely come back.
As ever, friendly attentive service. Great "farmhouse" menu with a French twist. We booked for a birthday celebration brunch and were pleasantly surprised with complementary glasses of wine.
Returned for a 2nd Brunch visit to Tableau, and was wowed again. Delicious, filling, French-inspired treats, with attentive service. Will return, and more often.
I booked a reservation for a Table for 1 via open table. The app indicated that there were reservations available every 15 minutes up to 9:00 pm. When I arrived just prior to my confirmed reservation, the receptionist took my coat, as it was raining, and hung it up for me. She had my name and reservation on her book but told me that they had no tables available but I would have to sit at the bar. Not my favorite but I was not going back out into the rain overs whether I would sit on a chair or a bar stool. Immediately behind me were three tables set for two persons. During my time in the restaurant not one of those tables were occupied. A young woman came in about mid-way through my meal and they seated her at the bar as well. Still there were tables available behind us. It seemed clear that the rule of the house was, "Don't seat singles at the tables, keep them open in case a couple should come unannounced.
The food was quite good and the bartender, who served us as well as the other servers, was quite attentive. But sitting on a bar stool, when I had made a reservation for a table was not what I had planned and I was not given the opportunity to accommodate the restaurant - I was simply told that nothing was available.
Brunch not as good as I remember from 5 years ago but nice ambiance. Wouldn’t rush back.
I typically go to Tableau on business for lunch, but we took our son out for dinner and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was very good, perfect for a cool evening and service was excellent!
Attentive service and delicious food - a lovely evening.
I normally come here with my neighbours during the weekends for a happy hour drink or night-cap but this is my first time here for brunch. Ambiance is always quite inviting and nice except for those bugger fruit flies that keep flying around our food and coffee. The food was decent and pretty good value. It's quiet enough to catch up with friends over brunch. Our server forgot about taking our order for a while but other than that, the service was quite good with refills of water and coffee that kept coming in.
I'd come back for brunch!
As always Tableau delivered for Sunday brunch. The food choices were excellent and the bar staff were able to present two perfectly made French Presses (2/3 sparkling wine, 1/3 pineau de charentes and a twist of lemon zest) at a reasonable price.
Such a delightful experience as always, the service goes above and beyond, the food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated.
Like the consistency and good quality food at this restaurant
The service could be sharpened up just a touch
the croquette appetizers were lacking in flavour the night we were there but were cooked perfectly
So a bit of a miss
Everything else ordered was great tasting and quality meal
One note to the manager
Get silicon glides for your chairs they are like fingernails on a chalk board when being moved about by patrons
Worth the trip to enjoy the oysters, duck, and wine selection. Hospitable staff and management - great for private events too!
Can’t go wrong here. Food was very good, Service was outstanding (Luke) and an overall good experience. If we come back to Vancouver, will be back for dinner.
Everything was fabulous... the atmosphere, service, food! We couldn’t have been happier with our experience.
Service was very good but the kitchen took forever to prepare our meal. The main arrived 45 minutes after the appetizer. We had dined at Tableu previously and really enjoyed it. Not this time.
A great lunch venue close to downtown. Excellent succulent seafood.
Exceptional Service with a last minute resservation! Highest Recommendation! Julia, our server, & the Hostess who took our last minute reservation, were exceptional❣️This was not our first Tableau visit.
