    Join us for our much-anticipated New Year's Eve feast! A decadent celebration of French inspired cooking. Tingle your senses with rich, decadent dishes that flow from our kitchen. Lobster gnocchi poached in a bath of golden butter or Pemberton mushrooms sauteed in madeira and thickened with gooey cheese. Then on to our sablefish, swimming in an aromatic sauce of clams and garlic or brighten the spirits with roasted duck and blushing beetroot sauced with a foie gras jus or of course, a sumptuous steak, charred and juicy, resting on truffle jus and boozy shallots.     Tableau always had great food and ambiance. However I felt the service was bit rushed. I spent good money and the server couldn't wait to get us out the door. We were only there for about an hour..

    Poor selection of gluten and dairy free menu items. Despite my reservation making clear my wife prefers to avoid gluten and dairy, the server, who’d acknowledge that preference, had to keep checking with the kitchen about what could be suitable.

    Our food choices were delicious. I highly recommend the scallops crudo. A very simple dish but so flavourful. The restaurant was busy but the staff were still able to be very friendly while still being efficient.

    Everything we had was amazing! Cocktails, appies, entrees and desserts were all perfectly balanced. Some favourites were the mushroom toast, the lamb, coq au vin, the burger and the pot de crème. This is my second time coming here and I am looking forward to returning!

    Excellent service from front of house to our waiter, Quinn… polite, unobtrusive and attentive; beautiful food presentation; perfect and delicious execution of recipes: as usual, one of the best gratinee onion soups in town; seems the quality and overall calibre is higher than before … Very nicely done ! !!     Celebrating a colleague's retirement. Sitting in the back room was likely good as it was a notch quieter. The meals and service were great . I was disappointed to learn that the profiterole are bo longer on the menu to finish the evening.

    The house red is always my first choice, lovely. My friend had the Bistro Filet, fantastic. I had the duck, which was different from what the menu stated - I was expecting squash & pickled plum but was served duck breast with sausage & purée bean (which had the same consistency as mashed potatoes) - lovely but a lot of protein. Thankfully I had a lovely salad of greens, two types of pairs & blue cheese - amazing! Service was impeccable!

    I had always been satisfy dining in, however, this was a very disappointing experience. Since they were having private dining to serve at the same time, we had to wait for 40mins+ for foods to arrive. Not only that, a few dishes were over seasoned to the point we could not take it. But we would still give it a chance for their improvement and will be back again.

    Took my daughter in law and son out for her birthday. We were seated and given menus. It took quite some time before the server came to take our drink order. Then again we waited quite a long time before he returned to take our food order, despite it not being that busy in his section. The food was amazing as usual, this is one of our favourite places to enjoy great French food. The foie gras and the special appetizer veal tongue were amazing. The filet was tender and perfectly cooked, and the duck cassoulet was delicious. The caramel pot e creme was amazing. The only reason for the lower rating was the server being slow and robotic otherwise it would have been a perfect 5 star evening.

    Really beautiful restaurant but really disappointing about the service. The girl who served us took a long time to come at the table to greet us. Then, she never offered us a drink so I order a glass of wine and she never turn to my husband to offer him something.  We got the tasting appetizer with fish dip and.we would really surprised that it was served with saltiness (christie premium plus crackers) instead of housemade crostinis..... The server was not helpful.when we told her if we could get anything else. She tried to sell us a half baguette. At the end we got half burnt sourdough toast. The mains were good and well presented. But again the server never came too for quality check. Food runner and bartender were super nice and we kind of regretted we.didnt seat at the bar. The welcome by the manager was also great. Overall we would have like a better service from the server and no "cheap" crackers with a $45 appetizer.

    Started with the Caesar and French onion soup which were both delightful. The caesar was lightly dressed and not mayo based so it made for a great first bite. It's big enough to share with 2 people. French onion was exceptional; you can tell they had a great stock as the flavors were deep and layered; very beefy and oniony. Dinner was a cauliflower tarte which was beyond expectation of goodness. My GF got the burger which was extremely well seasoned. For dessert, it was the butterscotch pot de creme which was a heavenly finisher. Would recommend 100 times over.

    We have been to Tableau numerous time - the first time 3 years ago was fabulous, the food, the service all was 5 stars. We do come to Tableau to celebrate birthday - usually b’day lunches. Yesterday was disappointing. The burger was lukewarm, bun was cold. The fries were over fried as if the had been doubly fried. I saw that the fries that the patrons sitting next to me looked lighter and not overcooked so I mentioned it to our waiter ( young man with a ponytail moving to Spain) and he offer to bring us an order of fries but we were almost done eating our meal. He still charged us and told us that he didn’t have the authority to take it off the bill. I was expecting more from Tableau. Also, we were disappointed with the menue choices which I believe is not as interesting as your lunchtime menue during the week.

    The cauliflower tart was decadent. Absolutely decadent. The French Onion soup was fabulous as always. The burger was beyond amazing. We are coming back for another round!

    Pretty ordinary, and even after complaining about the portion size and quality of a daily special, the severe draft from the windows at our table and the intense noise level, nothing was don't to appease us on any count. It was a birthday celebration and we specifically asked for a crème brûlée to be brought out with candles when making the reservation and again when checking in upon arrival, and that did not happen either. Better options out there in all categories - food/service/value.

    We have been going here for years. Always great food and service. This time had the yummy cauliflower tart and house green salad, which they do better than most places. My daughter had the burger and fries, which is always amazing! Love that they don’t over cook like most places. It is pink in the middle and perfectly seasoned, making it flavourful and juicy.
