Tallulah Wine Bar and Bistro
Great night for our Anniversary. Food was awesome and the service was Great! Only downside was the noise which was a little higher that we like. Highly recommend Tallulah.
Great service, great food!
Date night with my hubby! We love it here & Andrew (bartender) is awesome!
Excellent menu, attention to detail and warm , attentive management! I love Mario’s house👏👏, especially on thursdays when Nicole sings.
We took our son there for his 25th Birthday. The evening was a memorable one! I warned them that my husband was very picky about where were are seated when I made the reservation and they were prepared with choices upon our arrival. The service was excellent as was everything we ordered. We had a wonderful, relaxed evening and I will return!!
My family and I enjoyed a very nice dinner with great service at our favorite restaurant.
Delicious! This was a business dinner and everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We were from out of town and only one of our group had eaten here before. Our server was excellent and well-informed about the preparation and ingredients of the dishes and cocktails. The other service components (water refresh, plate clearing, etc.) was attentive without being distracting. The manager also checked in on us to see how we were doing - a nice touch.
I will be back next time I am in the area!
Great evening with great friends. Loved everything about the restaurant:)
We have been several times and only once was the food just ok not great tasting and creative as it was when we were there most recently. The service has always been professional but friendly and competent.
We had the pork chop and seafood risotto and they were both excellent.
Best place in Birmingham
Love this place! Never disappoints
The service and food is outstanding. Highly recommend the Bison Short Ribs. That are absolutely fabulous. I can't wait to go back and have more.
Always a wonderful evening at Tallulah’s, whether we are celebrating a special occasion or friend’s getting together.
What can be better than great food and wine, wonderful ambiance and service to share with wonderful friends.
My wife and I always enjoy dinner at Tallulah Wine and Bar Bistro! Our recent visit was to celebrate Kit's birthday!
Birthday. Wonderful service. Wine selection was excellent. We probably just ordered the wrong thing on the menu.
Great place, great food, but noise level is really high considering the place
Service was great, atmosphere was romantic, and the food was exceptional.
The food was good, but the portions were TINY. Thankfully, there was bread on the table. That however is not even the reason for only 2 stars. Our server absolutely ruined our dining experience by constantly hovering over our table, interrupting our conversation multiple times to ask us if we were done, came to take the bill 30 seconds after leaving it and generally was an obtrusive pest. Furthermore, I caught her frowning at us when we laughed during conversation. Also, we felt totally rushed. We were told she had to put in our entree order at the same time as our appetizer, resulting in pretty much all food being brought out at the same time. We were hoping for a leisurely, relaxed dining experience and it was anything but that.
Excellent food and service
Unique and wonderful food, excellent service, and very nice atmosphere. Just sitting at the table by the door, with cold air hitting you whenever guests arrive or leave, takes away a littke away of the special experience.
We celebrated my father-in-law‘s birthday and also had our our eight month old baby join us. Their food was delicious and they accommodated us with our infant well beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Tallulah!
Lively atmosphere with great food. Have not had a bad meal there.
My wife and I always enjoy our dates at Tallulah’s
Service was excellent, the food was good but not exceptional. The menu could be more creative and demonstrate better balance of flavors.
The food at Tallulah is consistently delicious and the service outstanding. Live music adds to a great atmosphere. Not s good pick with kids or for quiet conversation, but otherwise one of our favorite places to dine
I have been to Tallulah several times but the service was poor this trip. There seemed to have been a new chef as well as the food quality was not up to Tallulah's usual standards.
Best ever as always !
Recommended to me. Took an out of town friend. Loved the atmosphere, staff, wine selection and food. We were 30 min late due to rain storm and they had no issues accommodating us. Would do the drive over again. Well worth it!
Service and good were excellent.
Tallulah never disappoints!
The whole experience was ok. Food was very good. The wait staff was a little too cozy for my taste and the owner at one point interrupted the conversation to ask how is everything. This was a business dinner, and for this type of restaurant everybody shoud be more attuned to the diners. Casual diners might appreciate cracking jokes, but this is not always appropriate.
Meal and service were excellent. Very enjoyable experience.
Re-found this place after a long absence. We have enjoyed it a lot and will be coming back- often.
I always enjoy going to Tallulah! They not only have amazing food (most important), but the ambiance, service and selection of items are also one of the best I have experienced in the area!
Outstanding!!!! Love the food and service! Best meal in Birmingham!!
The service and the food was fantastic. Some of their dishes were totally new tome and they were excellent.
Even though I am becoming a staple on Thursday nights, admittedly every time I appear feels like the first time, primarily from the reception of the staff there. Had the pleasure of having "George" as my barista (always a guaranteed spoiler) who was assisted this occasion by "Adrian", who I learned was relatively new. Under George's guidance (I assume), I was equally impressed with Adrian's attentiveness to my needs, prompt response to my request, and genuine politeness when interacting with patrons. Again, I would be remiss if I didn't applaud the kitchen and their food preparation-my meal was exceptionally palette pleasing (SMILE), such that I have decided to start experimenting with different food choices in the future. Personally, I also find the added entertainment on Thursday produces a level of energy that seems to "infect" everyone there; staff included. Watching Ornelia sing along while greeting patrons is a joy (SMILE). I must commend "John" who stays busy worling every table to see if all is well, yet is so-o mellow when he gives you a personal "hello". It feels great to be in an environment that can both uplift your inners with a great meal, and heighten your outer sensations with a great sound. I only hope they are able to correct whatever circuitry problem there was that caused the malfunction with the sound system. The duo of "Ani & Condido" definitely compliment the ambience and make excellent ambassadors for the Tallulah image. I look forward to my next visit and am sharing my experience with friends and associates alike. Thank you.
Love the duck breast and scallops. They were both excellent. Service was also excellent and waitstaff was very attentive. Have been there before and always enjoyed eating there.
appetizers good then downhill from there. steak arrived beyond well-done when i asked for medium+. fries just OK. tuna was rubbery and chewy.
I am becoming a regular there for the Thursday night engagements with the "dynamic (musical) duo". Can't say enough about how accommodating every one has been to me, even on this past occasion when I was "fashionably" late. Ornelia greeted me with her usual "infectious" smile while looking very "chic" in her summer attire. George, who has been my barista on several occasions, went out of his way to stop at my table and shake hands, and I thought that was very special. I was served by Gerti, who was also very personable and insightful when asked about different dynamics regarding the business and life in general. It felt like we had known each other for some time.
Of course I have a bias for the excellent entertainment (SMILE). I would be remiss if I didn't mention needing to get the recipe for the exquisite sauce used on the shrimp appetizer which is to die for (SMILE)!! Note, there was an exceptional "warmth" in the air this night that seemed to resonate through all the other patrons and staff alike. In a city with the character of Birmingham, it is refreshing to frequent a location that maintains the upscale quality of the city's reputation and yet is able to provide a seemingly humble, endearing and genuine "vibe" for all who are present. It doesn't feel like one is in a business establishment; more like visiting someone's home with a creative atmosphere. Thank you.
