Tallulah Wine Bar and Bistro
Happy Hour: Monday - Saturday: 4:30pm-6:30pm
Our waiter was very attentive. Wonderful food: amish chicken, duck breast, wild boar.
Loved the food...Service was Excellent...you won't be disappointed!
I was not impressed with the good. I had the seafood risotto and it was very bland, there was no taste to it.
This was our first experience here. From the beginning to the end we absolutely enjoyed our time here. We started with the Tiger Shrimp then a salad (Caprese style) and then we split Salmon, Filet Mignon and the Mushroom and Pepper side. They were absolutely delicious. To finish it all off we had the Hazelnut dessert. So glad we gave this place a shot!
One of our standing “ date night” options
I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment (Ani & friend); they seem very adapt at engaging the patrons and heightening the energy level there. Variety of music choices seems so appropriate for that setting and audience responds accordingly. Most notable commendations for Ornelia (spelling), the beautiful hostess with the infectious smile. Always pleasant and accommodating. Loved seeing her interact with patrons on a personal level while maintaining a very professional persona as needed. Waitress on this occasion was cordial with brighter affect upon receiving her large tip (SMILE). Was personally greeted and introduced to manager/owner (can't remember his name-very young looking gentleman for his position) who appeared very genuine in his appreciation for my being there. Glad to be a part of the Tallulah experience. Thank you.
Always great food, atmosphere & service. Sitting outside on their patio in the summer is the best. This is by far our favorite restaurant in Metro Detroit. Service is always fantastic and management does a great job of making you feel welcomed.
We ate outside it was a nice day to sit out side
This occasion, I must commend my waiter (George) who was very attentive, pleasant, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure all one's needs were being met. Additionally, the hostess (with the big, bright smile) whose name escapes me, was equally very gracious and friendly. Both possessed an ability to make a newcomer feel as if one was a regular patron there-felt really comfortable. Truly enjoyed the singing couple who added just the right spark to the overall atmosphere and seemed very engaging and having fun with the audience in attendance. High scale in accommodations and dining cuisine, and yet very personable and intimate in the friendly service rendered. Thank you.
Great, small personal place. Great people, great food and service!!
Consistently a very good restaurant with a sophisticated menu that always has something interesting. Service and atmosphere are exceptional in a quiet neighborhood location. Can be loud inside and the outdoor dining is great.
Great food, atmosphere and service. If you like mushrooms, try the Sautéed California Cauliflower mushrooms which are available for a limited time. Would highly recommend trying for dinner. Fun to eat at the bar as well. Bartender is awesome with helpful recommendations for wine or drinks.
Great place. Only complaint is they need an updated dessert menu
Excellent food and wine. We enjoyed being on the patio and being a part of the city.
Dissapointing food and menu choices
TOO LOUD for friendly conversation. Too much amp for small room. Couldn't even hear the wonderful vocalist over the music.
Best atmosphere !
Ornela is awesome
Nice venue. Great wine x the glass selection. Wide assortment of food. Food is good but not great.
We always have a wonderful experience at Tallulah. The atmosphere is special inside or on the patio.
Excellent service and server.
Great food , fantastic service in a very nice setting.
Sehr gut! My wife and I enjoyed a very good dinner and service.
I like everything about Tallulah's especially the food, ambiance, friendly bar, friendly and attentive staff, and people watching. I especially liked the Trout entrée. My wife and I have been to every restaurant in Birmingham multiple times and Tallulah's is our favorite restaurant.
Came in for a very early dinner. To say they were accommodating is an understatement. They allowed us happy hour prices without being at the bar to start. Got the short rib with the pavé app which was delicious. Girlfriend thought it was an 8.5 outta 10. A good pineapple gin and tonic was had as well.
Besides the amazing hospitality, what is bringing me back is the cavetelli. This is a 10 out of 10 dish. Perfectly balanced, rich without being overpowering. I had to restrain myself from ordering a second.
We also ordered a ragu dish that didn’t seem on par with the cavetelli, we ended up barely eating it. We gave a bit of feedback to our great serve Jonny and the manager Paulina took amazing care of us, a lot of (unnecessary but extremely appreciated) generosity on the part of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend for a flavorful, fresh take in Birmingham. I’ll definitely be back.
Awesome, attentive service and lovely food. A memorable dining experience, not just a wonderful dinner. We highly recommend and will return soon. Loved it!
Very nice setting, great service and fantastic food!
Horrible waitress. Rude and disrespectful. I’ve gone here for years and my 40th surprise party was thrown here. I have NEVER experienced such an awful time at Tallulah. Very sad that it happened. I will NOT allow her to wait on us EVER again! I will however return because we LOVE the restaurant.
It seems like they added too many tables and there is very little room between the chairs and tables. I was trying to maneuver my chair and the seated person in back of me did nothing !!! I am tall; however' not large so that was a good thing. There were two large groups in back of us on both sides so perhaps it was an unusual set up to accommodate the large parties
Nice small restaurant with great food and a good wine list. Ambiance is quiet good and service is just perfect. Last night music was not laud, loved that, the place tends to be crowded but I rather hear people talking than laud music. It would be perfect if there was no TV. Overall I like this place and it is already in my preferred list! Highly recommendable.
Best restaurant in Birmingham. Service, food and ambiance is always fantastic.
Food was excellent The noise level was extremely high which made it difficult to converse
Food was great and a good deal. Music was way too loud, we had to yell across the table. The restaurant was loud enough before the musicians set up.
The food and service were excellent as usual. Every time we’ve dined there the menu has offered great selections at a very reasonable price.
Excellent food and service. Music on Thursday. A bit crowded and noisy but doesn't interfere with atmosphere. A winner.
My wife and I enjoyed a very tasty Valentines Day dinner at Tallulah’s! We always enjoy a great meal and nice glass of wine... or two at Tallulah’s.
Doesn’t get better than Mario and his team at Tallulah.
We dined at Tallulah last week. There were four of us. Almost everything was good. It would have been nice to know the appetizer we ordered for the four of us was enough for one person. It was their ahi tuna app which was a special. we all laughed how small it was. Regardless, the waitress should have mentioned that when we ordered it. I've been to Tallulah before and the food and ambiance is always good. This time the service was just a little off.
The occasion was Restaurant Week I ordered off the special RW menu and selected the lamb ragu which was excellent. My husband ordered the 8
Always an enjoyable time. Amazing food (esp the octopus appetizer, Greek salad, duck breast), Andrew mixes the perfect martini (but they have a fabulous wine list, too) the service is smooth (and charming George and Jolla), all in a beautiful, intimate space. We eat here often- this restaurant would fit right in if it were NYC!
Wait staff very attentive with excellent knowledge of wines, foods and preparation.
Greatly enjoyed evening.
