Really friendly server and prompt delivery of food and drinks.
Celebrating a birthday. As usual, it was a wonderful experience. It is fast becoming our go to place.
Awesome happy hour & the young man that served us provided us excellent & friendly service. We’ll be back!
Great place to bring your friends and enjoy the False Creek
Our server was great. I had a gluten free crust & it was apparently a new crust. The crust was pretty raw close to the centre, but the edge were cooked alright.
Great place for tourists and families. Poor service.
Nice brunch and location is beautiful this time of year. Service was good as well.
The poorest dining experience I've had in quite some time.
Our pleasant waiter arrived wearing a filthy and stained black T-shirt.
Disconcerting in COVID times. (We later observed staff giving only cursory wipedowns of tables. Poor work and most worrisome during a pandemic.)
Our breakfast arrived very promptly and was barely warm so we sent it back.
The remake took quite some time and when the food arrived it was only slightly warmer than the first time. We accepted it without comment.
My avocado toast had crust tough as cardboard, overdone poached eggs and the tator tots had been deep fried in so much grease it inspired indigestion!
You go to this restaurant at your own risk both in regard to unacceptably low cleanliness standards and poor food quality.
It's a risk I won't be taking ever again.
Great food, casual ambiance. Loved eating outside on the massive patio.
Love Tap and Barrel for the ambience the patio and the happy hours. Always a happy time spent there
Good food options, ok beer and wine options, great location, awesome patio and excellent service.
Tap & Barrel offers solid casual food with some of the best real estate in Vancouver. I highly recommend booking through Open Table as they're quite busy in the summer. The patios are fantastic.
Fried chicken Mac & Cheese was great, with a pint of Fat Tug IPA. We made reservation the day before & requested for patio seating. We got a call reminding us of our reservations & when we showed up on the day of, we were seated in the patio. It has a wonderful atmosphere for casual dining or just for a drink any time of the year but especially during the summer.
Wow excellent food/drinks/service (with masks, thank you!)on a gorgeous day on the socially distanced (thank you!) patio, just a perfect experience!
Fantastic! Physically distanced and easy to order and pay. Great service
Everything was great - food, service, the view. Will be back!
Love the food, love the location, one of my go-to places!
Had a lovely lunch on the sunny patio! The food is consistently good -- enjoyed the poke bowl with a couple of Broken Ladder ciders. An enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours with a friend!
Great service! Was seated at a nice table on the patio
The food was terrible! Pizza was under cooked with very few toppings and guacamole was tasteless.
The atmosphere was great, our server was really considerate and pleasant, recommended and consulted us about the menu. The food was great too!
We were seated on the patio in a quiet out of the way area just as we requested. Overall we all enjoyed our lunch.
When I made my reservation I used their “special requests” section to note that it was my daughters birthday and we would like a surprise dessert brought out to her. I just assumed they would act on the notes and bring her something.....it was not even acknowledged, no mention of a birthday, no dessert, no singing etc. If. You’re going out to eat the patio is great, if you’re going for a celebration.....don’t get your hopes up.
Great experience, loved the food. Our server was great; however, when his shift was done, he asked us to settle the bill half way through our meal so he could be tipped on it. I get it, every man for themselves and he worked hard for us so he totally deserved it. BUT that being said, Tap and Barrel should figure this out internally and within your accounting department. He should be tipped based on what he rang in. I don't want to be touching that pin pad in the middle of a meal. I hope that makes sense. Just something to think about.
Delicious food and the service was great! We had a great time on their covered patio.
Sat on the patio...it was great! We ordered from the Happy Hour Menu -- chips and guac, hot wings and the mushroom pizza with a few drinks. It was most enjoyable! Great way to spend a few hours!
When we arrived we were seated in a shady spot next to several sunny empty tables. All three of us were quite cold and we asked politely to be moved to one of the empty tables In the sun (before food arrived!). We were told that other patrons waiting downstairs in a line up (no reservations) wanted to sit in the sun also and we could not be moved now. We were told that we should have requested a sunny table while making our reservations online. The heat lamps were also not turned on for us.
Two of the sunny tables were empty for over half an hour while we had our lunch. The manager came by again to tell us that because of Covid, they had to be extra careful so did not want to move people. In the meantime we observed several tables being cleaned and it did not seem like a lengthy or complicated procedure as it consisted of less than a 30 seconds spritz of the tabletop only. Items like Coffee creamer were served to be shared by guests.
Our food was nice but we were cold and put off by the rude service to fully enjoy it. I understand that staff may be stressed under current circumstances (and our main server was very polite) but perhaps you could change or add some of your protocols with your managers to make it more enjoyable for your guests.
Beautiful day to be on that patio! Had to wait 10 minutes so they could sanitize our table ..... I really appreciated it. Lunch was yummy. Service was quick and unobtrusive. Will definitely be back!
Great location and patio! Food was delicious. Will go again.
The food was average but the patio is great! Service was okay.
Everything was fine. The wings should have had an options for sauce or seasoning. The cleaning seems great.
The server was very caring and kindly. I saw some staffs training self and safety at outside. It’s impacted nice and reliable.
We received inattentive service from our waitress.. cold food.. late beers and items incorrectly billed on our bill.. my third and last visit to Tap & Barrel was a terrible one to say the least
Happy hour with outdoor seating was great! Drinks and happy hour food was soooo yummy! Definitely will come back and try other things on the menu!
Great location and friendly staff. Lots of beer and wine choices. The pizza is really good!
The server that served our table had an attitude problem, not friendly and didn't seem happy to be there. Was an unpleasant dine-in experience especially since coming back from the reopening of restaurants.
I was exploring what it was like to be at a bar/restaurant since they reopened after covid.
The heaters need to be functioning. It was freezing last night even with jackets and scarf on.
