FYI even if the reservation appears available on open table, it doesn’t mean that the table is available. I’d been to this tap and barrel many times and never had issues until now. Not sure why Tap doesn’t block it off on the app to minimize confusion. So we ended up waiting for a table because essentially the open table reservation was voided.
Food was good like usual. Bizarre experience with the reso system.
Food, drinks & service were great. We were served very quickly. Good menu variety with interesting eats. I would highly recommend the deep fried pickles, they were a great size served with a fantastic dill dip.
Came for Dine Out dinner and requested to sit at their patio, where tables were fairly well distanced. Was quite warm, and our server offered to turn the other heater on as well. She also refilled my hot water and was just super attentive and sweet the whole night. Food was great as well, I don't know if it's just because I haven't had a dinner out in God knows how long, but I had the PNW Tacos (personally preferred the avocado over the shrimp), Onion Ring Burger, and Apple Tart. All were delicious and piping hot. Would highly recommend for any other Covid-wary diners wanting a night out.
Salad came without dressing; beer glasses smelt detergent. Great spot; excellent view. I would go there but only for drinks and on an afternoon.
Got the dinner deal for $35 each!
Food was delicious and very quick service 😊
Service was amazing! I would definitely go back just for how friendly and accommodating our server was.
All the service by the waitress Eloise was outstanding! This place has always been amazing. Thanks!
It was okay. Couple other places close by that are better.
Good service no waits lots of staff. Good selection of beer.
The food is good and there are good draught beer and wine choices. I do wish they had more Vegan options for food but I work around it okay. Our server was amazing, super friendly and efficient!!
Outdoor dining was nice and quite warm.
Came in for brunch but sadly missed cutoff. Opted to stay and have appies and beers. Sat at a high top table near the bar. Was pretty decent, will be back!
Thanks for the service and food. Superb is what I can put it.
Great service! Happy hour menu is fantastic. Me & my friends enjoyed our afternoon there.
Nice job at a tough time for the restaurant business. I will be back.
Our server Alex was awesome. Helpful and kind. Last time I visited this location we had a terrible experience. Happy that we came back and gave this location another shot.
It’s COVID... so you need to manage expectations... I thought everyone did a good job, food was good, selection of beer and wine was good.. they even moved us outdoors so we could feel more comfortable!
My dinner was disappointing. The poke bowl lacked flavour. My partners fish and chips batter was over cooked. I am not sure if our servers swapped but they never asked how our food was and then brought our bill forgetting that we had ordered dessert. The dessert wasn’t great either. We went to the tap and barrel two weeks ago in North van and it was amazing. I won’t be coming back to this location.
Had the creole sirloin
Asked for medium rare. Got rare instead
Ate on the outside patio and everything was comfortable. Enjoyed our brunch
It was an excellent experience. Felt extremely safe, it was warm on the patio with the heaters and the food was fast and delicious.
Staff was great, very attentive and great at making recommendations for wine and food.
Staff was friendly and efficient and I had the ribs and they were excellent!
Server was great, music was a bit too loud.. thought it had to be quiet due to the restrictions from the PHO..
The servers were fun and helpful. Noise level was OK, but slightly quieter would have been better for conversation. Very good menu choices. Would recommend.
Excellent food/service & we were in a back corner, which doesn't sound GR8 lol, but if you're into safety protocols in Covid as we are, we preferred being away from everyone, plexiglass partitions & tables spaced out!
We come often for Nice Guys Trivia on Tuesdays. Food is a little pricey but is good, beautiful views and great selection of local beers.
Food was really salty. Other than that the place was great. Our server was awesome.
Excellent except for noise. Music loud for conversation and noisy tBle mr t yonis.
When I reserved a spot in line they called me almost immediately to ask if we wanted indoor, outdoor, upstairs. They were extremely accommodating and the service was exceptional!
Always have a great time at tap and barrell. Great food and service.
Food was ok. I had eggs Benedict and the eggs were soft when I wanted them medium. There was no ham with my husbands toast. I was really sick when we got home. I am putting it down to the eggs.
The food was excellent. No complaints.
It was a great time, that’s all I really need to say.
Great food & service with an amazing view!!
Provided dog friendly table just ask! Great staff great happy hour great patio
The appetizers were great! I would go back for appies and a drink.
We were there for trivia. Fast service. Good spacing with regards to physical distancing.
We had a great experience - we sat on the 1st floor patio which had an amazing view.
The drinks were OK, although my 'moscow mule" cocktail was light on ginger, and heavy on the juice. also my fish and chips were pretty poor - the fish batter was more like a corn dog and was soggy and cold. We enjoyed salsa & guach' nacho dip starter, and the others enjoyed the vegan burger and curry - although we smiled at the 'store-bought' quality naan bread that was described on the menu as 'rustic' :)
