Went for a date night with my wife, first time at this location. I ordered a chicken burger, was not good had to send it back. It was deep fried way too much. My wife ordered a steak that was good. Our waitress brought out our appetizer, but the small plates she gave us where dirty. Also the Mens and Woman washroom was dirty and really sticky floors. My wife had been too this location before awhile ago and had no problems. But most likely we will not be returning or recommending this location to others. It’s to bad because I was looking forward to eating at this location, since it’s in a really nice area. Hope this review helps

We had a reservation for a business meeting and the customer service was bad. To start, they gave us a bad location for our table, even though we had a reso. Food is average for a pub-style. Location is good. Great view from patio if weather is good.

We booked ahead for a birthday, requesting a standard table as we all hate high tables. We were seated at a high table and asked for one of the free tables but that was declined (told none available even though we saw plenty empty). Long wait for food (an hour) and had to flag server for refills of drinks, although they were great at keeping water refilled. We asked for a dessert suggestion for our birthday guest and she picked something from the menu but later was told that was unavailable. The server suggested something else and she agreed since it was just for a birthday song and a sweet for her at the end, and we were surprised that the restaurant didn't comp the birthday dessert (despite the decent bill we spent on the rest of the meal & drinks). VERY loud TV and music and many people made it difficult to enjoy our birthday meal without yelling across the table.

It is a good place to hang out with friends but I find it too noisy and not conformable on high chairs for a quiet family mother's day dinner....unfortunately most other family restaurants were fully booked for mothers day

I guess Tap & Barrel is a craft beer restaurant and not a breakfast place. I've been there for lunch/dinner and beers before and it's been good but this was the first time I've been there for breakfast. The potatoes included in my breakfast bowl and my wife's eggs benedict were Tater Tots. Really? Tater Tots? Go to Tap & Barrel for the beers. Go elsewhere for breakfast.

Good food but I find it overpriced for the portion and the presentation of it. Nice outdoor seating but the music was pretty loud for our business lunch. Server was friendly and attentive.

We went as a party of 5 for casual dining. The wait to get in was a bit long but the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was still chilly in April so when we were asked to sit outside the manager promised to turn on the heating light for us. Unfortunately some aren’t working and we had to change to another table. That said, everything was fine. The food was great and drinks too. A little bit pricey but that’s fine with the views of false creek and Science World. It’s a good place for friends to catch up!!

We really like TB. We noticed there was the Sunrun that day so we thought that might be why service was so slow. Then our server let us know they were short staffed. I used to work in the industry so i understand that. But, when i worked at a certain rest in Yaletown, we would let our tables know the kitchen was behind. Or they could even say order something that they suggest would be quicker like an appy if we were really hungry. Just an idea... Since our food took almost an hour more communication would have been nice. They comp'd our food, but if we had someplace to go right after, it would have been nice to know the kitchen was behind. Also! i was looking for Brunch but was told there wasn't any available (even thought it was brunch hours). I saw more than 2 orders go out with bennies on them! So annoying!

We were seated inside. When I asked at the front desk if we could move outside. The hostess said ask our server and it will not be a problem. We asked our server and she said we need to ask the front desk and it is a 45 minute wait. There were a few empty tables outside. This is after waiting for approximately 15-20 minutes to be served by our server, or even acknowledged. Another server noticed and went to speak to our server. She had our server come over, even though our server had severed tables beside us that were seated after us.

Went for dinner after a show in DT. We came hungry and ordered an appy immediately along with a couple drinks. My cousin’s drink was not correct but it was fine. We then ordered dinner. I ordered a few mins after everyone as I was undecided. My food came out first but was not prepared the way I requested, a child’s caesar salad was missing, and the appy - never came so I cancelled it. We were starving and just ate what we had…I mentioned this all to our waitress and also to the people who dropped off our food. We then ordered desserts and one of the kid’s has a peanut allergy, so we read what we could order. When it came to the table, as a caution, we asked again, no peanuts? And the young waiter who was in chef gear said yes that is peanuts on top (referring to crushed walnuts) so I quickly gave him the plate and then I saw he took it over to the bar area where himself,our waitress and a couple more ppl came to look at the dessert before bringing it back! How the heck didn’t they know what was in there and cause so much distress after all the other mishaps! Time for the bill and she of course had that part correct 🙄 all in all, not impressed and don’t recommend it.

We visit this Tap & Barrel nearly every time we visit Vancouver, BC. This time, I was able to book a last minute outdoor table on OpenTable as we were driving up from the Delta area. We got there early enough to have Brunch. Our entrees were good, Bacon Benny and a fried chicken Benny. Food was delivered fast and nicely cooked. It's just our service this time that was lacking. Couldn't get a glass of water after asking 2-3 times. Would have stayed longer, but couldn't get a second drink, and lastly, couldn't get the bill. We will return, since we've always had such good service and food in the past, but was a little disappointed with the service this last visit. Mimosa was delicious!

Server was super pleasant! The new hostess might need some feedback on being friendly and communicative with customers coming into the restaurant. It felt like I was being lectured on how to book an outdoor seat and specify I had a dog. I’ve never had to do this in the past when I ask to be able to tie my dog in the perimeter. Anyway, I had to put my dog in the car. We enjoyed the meal and great service besides that experience with the hostess.

Great place for a casual Saturday evening. The Olympic Village location is an easy walk from BC Place and Rogers Arena making for a good pre- or post-game option. The upbeat staff added to the positive atmosphere. If they weren’t truly having a good time, then they did a good job of faking it.

My parents were visiting from Ontario for the first time. We were seated with an excellent view of false creek on the second floor. Our server was very busy but was still extremely attentative and even took my family's picture (professional photographer mode and everything!) I did not catch his name, but short pinkish hair. Thank you very much!
