Great deck. Perfect for the warm weather.Choice of sunny or shaded seats. right on a beautiful water park, with lots of action going on.
Food was good. Would like to see some changes to the menu, or a daily sheet.
Awesome food and service.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves :)
Great patio experience!
Place was busy I guess the four table section was too much for our server, but overall would still return.
Great atmosphere! Our server was very attentive. Tap’s taco chips, guac & salsa is soooo good!
We had the chicken salad, chicken burger and chicken fingers & fries. And all were delish!
I have been here many times and will continue to go back.
The only drawback is finding parking!
Great place, even when they don't have half of their listed beers... Food was good!
The plates for share were dirty, so we sent them back! Same for some forks. After diner, I was not feeling well for the next full day! Food selection was not that great. Too bad, as they have a wonderful location. The atmosphere was great. I will probably go again for the location and have just bottled drinks!
The location is close to every where, movie , shopping.
The beer and calamari is good .
An army of servers await you, service was swift, kind and not overly-solicitous.
Terrible service. Wasn’t busy and. Pull barely get our waitresses attention.
The food there is mostly really good, the service excellent. The cole slaw was too coarsely chopped for my taste, and lacked a little zip in flavour. I HATED the background music which was too loud and since it was mostly rap....I can't even call it dinner music.
A good time and great meal with friends, as usual. Enjoyed the drinks and spacious location.
Came for a girls’ birthday celebration, food was fantastic and it came all at once which was great. Would have been nice if server came a little more often to ask if we needed anything, but she seemed to be extremely busy. Maybe more staff help would improve the service. She was very courteous and pleasant. Will definitely come again with a group!
No wait time on a busy night--that was a good start. Our server was super personable and helpful. The chips and salsa we're unreal, they were so good. Our order was kind of screwed up but in the end, we had the two pizzas we ordered plus a third one that was the mistake, so we were happy.
Ambience was nice and our booth was comfy.
Fast service, good food, great location.
It was nice that our table was ready and we were made to feel welcome. The noise level, however was very high, so conversation was mostly somewhat difficult, otherwise it was a good experience.
We booked in for a date but were not given a space in the dining room. Aside from that, it was enjoyable. Food was great and the service was good. Minimal interruptions which is always appreciated.
We had bunch at Tap and Barrel and it was very tasty. Our server was excellent and attentive.
Will be again soon.
Food was great, service was very poor. Had to flag down a server and after she could not find anyone else to serve our table, she took the initiative to serve us. She was great, but we waited close to 30mins to get our drink order in.
Had a really nice lunch and our server was great. I just wish there were some tables of 2 or 4 right at the front as it was a special lunch and I wanted us to have a nice view, but the tables there were all for groups. Otherwise, it was very nice and the food was good.
I made a reservation and when I got there they were going to sit us at the bar until I said something. I also noted that I was entertaining friends from away so why would they choose the worst place in to sit us? Thankfully they moved us. My guest hated her pizza and didn’t eat it, but everyone else enjoyed the food. They did not compensate the guest for the pizza or apologize, they looked at her as if she had problems. Pretty poor service and a really long time to get the bill. I used to like this place but I won’t be back after how they treated us.
Love this place ! Spent 4 nights in North Vancouver and eat at the Tap & Barrel 3 of those nights. Great location, wonderful service and food beyond my expectations.
I have been here many time. It’s cozy and the food is good. Usually the service is great. Unfortunately this time the female server I had was not very good. Ordered a soda and she brought it but no straw. It was full of ice and I needed that straw otherwise the ice would be bumping my teeth and lip. When she brought the drink I asked for a straw. She then walked away to deal with another table paying their bill. I thought ok, she will get my straw after that. I watched her as she waited on 3 more other patrons and still no straw. I finally had to get up and politely asked her that when she was finished with those people if she would please get me a straw. She seems to take offence to me asking her again and was totally unfriendly the rest of the meal. I hope I do not get her the next time I go there or I will move to a different section!
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service, but happy to be outside on the beautiful patio, as it was far too noisy inside for conversation and visiting.
Nice relaxed place to eat near Pinnacle hotel. Casual lively dining with good service and reasonable value and quality food
We decided to make a reservation here for our anniversary. Included in the reservation was to be seated away from the kitchen and someone with A view of the water... that never happened and we ended up being right by the kitchen (very noisy). The server was sub-par at best due to the fact he wasn't very attentive. We are both disappointed.
Our server was excellent! Accommodate some food sencetivities. Very understanding and nailed the entire order.
Fun spot right on the water. Great food. Beside outdoor community venue, often live music and adjacent to weekend market. Sunday morning open air church service can make conversation on the patio difficult.
We were overall very pleased with the everything from start to finish. I wouldn't ask for anything except maybe a kids steak option for kids meal.
The service was really good the food was tasty but the meal I ordered they ran out of the vegetables for it so that was disappointing also I had requested a patio seat but we were seated inside instead
The chairs we're not comfortable and small and the table was too small
Our server was excellent. I didn't catch her name but even my dad...who's always the toughest customer..... remarked on her attentiveness and positive energy.
Excellent food and service. Casual room. Largest outdoor patio in the lower mainland.
Excellent server. Kitchen is getting heavier and heavier handed with the salt. Still great service and beer selection but may not come back for meals anymore as it's getting hard to eat some of the dishes.
Typical bar or pub food. Nothing special but no complaints
Excellent experience for first time diners at this location. Recommend to all for a casual fare with good food and ambiance
Casual dining. Good spot on Thursdays and Friday night, lively. Good beer and better wine selection. When the entire patio is complete it will be a hot spot!
Location location location... with a spectacular view. It is the hot spot to be and often its a wait to get a table. That is the wonderful thing about Open Table.. we got in right away from making a reso 15 mins before arriving. The food is delicious and it's got a happy vibe!
Great service. Good food and location.
Music was very loud so difficult to have a conversation with family.
