Tap & Barrel • Shipyards
Located at the foot of Lonsdale, in the heart of the historic Shipyards, our restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating with breathtaking views of the Burrard Inlet and downtown Vancouver.
(Please note that due to unpredictable weather, our patio is first come first serve and all of our reservations are for our interior seating)
very proficient when we arrived giving name and our reservation time. Were seated in like 2 minutes. Advised they would shut the door to the patio waiting for customers to leave it as was cold and happened quickly. Food very good and hot couldn't eat it all.
I had a drink special For happy hour, an Empress gin & tonic. And it barely had any gin flavour, all I tasted was the slice of pink grapefruit. I was not impressed. And my friends also agreed that theirs, a single of the gin and tonic had no gin flavour either . They had to order a double in a short glass to actually taste proper.
It was very noisy and the seats were not comfortable. Next reservation will made at Joeys instead!
Standard tables are not for four people only two or three !
I think this is a place for people to get drunk rather than eat. I don’t recommend for a sober dinner. The food was poorly presented and microwave quality.
Service wasn't up to the usual expectations. Food and drinks were okay.
Julian was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. The noise was slightly to much for me. A little arming with it being covid and that many people were in the same restaurant.
great service. plenty of room well spaced. BC rules followed
Felt very safe dining at this venue during the pandemic and would definitely go again.
We ate inside and felt safe as now have plastic barriers between the tables
That Hot Honey Calabrese pizza is delish! Service was great. Sat indoors, but felt safe with COVID precautions clearly in place.
The noise level was beyond "energetic", it was freaking loud! And with Covid the health officer had mandated that all restaurants should have the volume at conversation level.
They accommodated us well by moving us to a quieter area, but that wasn't the point. It is dangerous to have loud background sound because people have to shout to be heard. The food was good and the service was very good and we had a good time. Really, it was just the noise that was the issue.
$9.50 pints and $8.00 sleeves of beer is a bit over the top but otherwise very nice. Great atmosphere and plenty of space on the patio
Great food, amazing staff, all around perfect experience!!!
Always fun @ tap & barrel!
Was great really, nice service, good beer, good food. Would go again.
Food was overload of salt
Food was tasty and well presented; service was very good; attention to COVID 19 protocols was good. Would definitely return, and recommend to others.
Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Drink choice is great. Service is awesome
Always enjoy Happy Hour here!
Food was cold, service was poor - waited at table for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged - and it wasn’t busy. Nicest thing was the actual restaurant building. Nicely done.
We had a beautiful spot on the patio, right near the water. Our server was friendly and the food was great. Would definitely order the chicken & waffles again!
The view from the patio of downtown Vancouver across the water was stunning on beautiful Labour Day. All hostesses and servers followed Covid 19 protocols and tables were spaced far enough apart. Food was good and the fries that accompanied the burgers were nice and crispy and seasoned just right. We liked that the menu had lots of variety. Definitely a patio worth visiting to enjoy the view while having your meal.
Great food and very friendly atmosphere! We will be back soon!
Great location and drink menu but prices were a bit high overall compared to size of portion for food. Also, we noticed some minor service issues as well as price gouging wherever possible (i.e. $4 for extra kids scoop of ice cream for my daughter even though it was pretty much a half scoop of vanilla!)
Great place to go and sit on the patio and Enjoy Happy Hour
Service was fabulous as always
Stopped by for a 5 month reunion with friends. We showed up early and were seated immediately. We enjoyed some happy hour appetizers and wonderful conversation. While the TVs were a little loud and it took several hints and finally we had to ask for our check, overall it was a pleasurable experience.
We visit this location often and always enjoy
Great patio, on the water. We enjoyed handhelds all around (burgers, chicken sandwich, etc) and all were delicious. Great beer list as well. We’ll be back!
Fantastic. As always. My go to eatery. Even though I live in downtown. Hop the Seabus and there.
The deck and view are amazing, and the service is good, but the food was tasteless. We both ordered the tuna poke bowl and it was BORING! Not good value either at $19.
Too many great restaurants in the area to bother going back again.
It was really good.
Great food, great staff !
The food is delicious if not unique. The cornbread pancakes were delicious. Quantities are modest. The view can not be beat. Overall, would recommend!
Awesome food and service on a nice patio. A nice spot for lunch or dinner after a stroll on the spirit trail.
Great location, typical west coast food with reasonable service. Altogether a pretty good experience.
Great views, friendly service, good food! A great place for friends and family.
Good service, good food and good drinks. Overall had a great time!
We had a lovely lunch. It was my dad’s first meal out since the beginning of the pandemic. Your staff made sure we had a nice table in the patio, in the shade. Thank you!
Experience was great!
