Experience was great!
Nutrition content on the menus would be much appreciated.
Understand there was a recall on red peppers so no quesadilla or short rib sandwich. I was looking forward to trying the quesadilla.
Disappointed when I asked if it could be made just without them and my server told me no, they are made ahead of time and then heated up. Didn’t even go check with the kitchen to see if they could make one fresh for me. Just nope.
I’ve made quesadillas before, I’ve made them in a professional kitchen during a busy dinner service, it’s not that hard and wouldn’t have taken long to put one together fresh for me. Also I was going to ask for no cilantro and extra banana peppers so they would have probably had to make one fresh anyways.
And it wasn’t so busy they could t take the time to make one.
Other than that, the wings I ordered were tasty.
Awesome location on deck. Good safety precautions.
Sadly the brunch food was greasy and poorly cooked. Tator tots is not a good addition to the menu.
Great restaurant with many options for food and beverages. Always always get the soft baked pretzel with beer cheese dip. Great location.
We had a great time. The server was so lovely. We were seated at a table with good airflow, even though it wasn't outside. Great food, great service, and good prices!
Best patio in North Vancouver plus food and drinks were fabulous. We are regulars because every time it's A plus.
Would have appreciated the server informing us of the cost of the glass of wine along with the recommendation of a particular kind we asked about. It was a bit of a surprise when we saw the bill. Other than that is was a wonderful evening.
Great service & tasty food.
Great location and staff were super helpful with arranging patio seating with a great view of the city. Perfect location. Prices are a bit on the high side for a general night out but as a treat it was perfect.
Great food and service.
Sitting on the outside patio with two friends on a perfect evening was a treat with excellent food and service.
Everyone got sick when we got home, I will not be going back I spent $30 on a meal which made all of us sick
Beautiful view, great food, and mediocre service.
They have a great patio and a decent Happy Hour menu!
Extensive brunch menu, great food, great service and can’t beat the view from the deck.
Great patio space with distance between tables. Felt very safe with staff in masks and pay via phone.
Good food, good service. Servers observing all the guidelines for the “new normal”. We felt very safe and relaxed. Great evening.
Had a great dinner at Tap and Barrel Shipyards. The tables were well spaced out and the server was very firendly. we were seated quickly.
It was *ok*. It’s a great room with a great patio and view of the ocean. Our requested “med rare” steak arrived “well done” and the rest of the food was just ok. We were surprised that it was apparently so difficult for them to accommodate a peanut allergy, given how prevalent nut allergies are.
Good service, good food, fair pricing. Very nice outside patio with very good physical distancing between tables and other people.
Staff up to speed with Covid-19 precautions- all wearing masks and sanitizing tables, chairs etc.
Beautiful waterfront location - modern, upbeat. All round good lunch experience.
Very friendly staff and follow covid protocols very well with table spacing and procedures. The service was quick and food excellent. The chocolate chip brownie for dessert was excellent.
Had a wonderful table outside on the waterfront. Brunch was tasty and arrived quickly. Only tiny complaint was coffee was luke warm and one our parties couldn’t get a latte as the machine was broken.
I really like the Tap & Barrel venue and the location is fantastic but I was a bit disappointed by my recent experience. I made a reservation online in advance for my birthday. It was a lovely sunny day so when we arrived I asked if we could sit outside, we were told we would have to wait 40 minutes for a table outside. We were given the worst table inside despite having made a reservation. Would have been great if there was an option to reserve a table outside on the reservation website. Apart from that we had a great time, the service was great, the happy hour deals were great.
First time back at the Tap since the virus hit
Much quieter. Bartender waited on our table. Hard to do 2 jobs w/o affecting service.
Didn’t think my meal was up to usual tap level. A dish I had had before.
Gorgeous view from the patio.
Would recommend happy hour.
Service was okay but had to ask for plates and cutlery.
The food was ho-hum. The mains were brought out before appys were finished, and they forced everything onto our tiny table instead of waiting until we were done with the appys, so we were forced to stack plates and cups on the table. Just felt like inexperience on the kitchen side of things.
Views were great, ambiance was great, our server was super nice and friendly.
My tuna salad was delicious and my two sailing buddy friends enjoyed their heartier poutine and hamburgers - it was my first venture out for a meal after the lock-down and Tap and Barrel was a great choice - service attentive and pleasant - beautiful ambiance on the deck and the subdued noise level allowed us to hear our ‘distanced’ conversation. Certainly will come again
Food is mediocre but the staff and location are amazing.
Happy Hour good value , great view from the patio and feel very safe as the restaurant is following all the COVID-19 rules
Tapp and Barrel is one of my favourite restaurants. Great for families or drinks with friends. Location is spectacular, food and drinks are top notch, and the service is excellent. You can’t go wrong planning a meal here for any occasion.
We've had better experiences there but this time it wasn't great. Service and food were both in a scale of 'Not Good to Meh'. Nobody seemed to really care. I know it's an "unprecedented time" but nobody seemed to care about being there. I usually leave good reviews but it was a sub par experience.
It was good and well set up
Great everything greta great great great great great
Our server was from Gallway. She was absolutely charming and super helpful. Simply excellent.
This was perfect to celebrate our engagement and the service was awesome.
Good sized patio. Food okay but nothing special.
There were many servers around us, yet we frequently had to ask for things they didn't bring us, such as; side plates and cutlery to eat our shared food with, soy sauce and chopsticks for the sushi as well as getting a second round of drinks. Also, it was half price wine and we ordered 2 bottles of Prosecco and were charged full price. Because we were in a rush to leave no one noticed until later and had to make 3 phone calls to get a refund. In the end, the problem was rectified, but I don't really understand how it happened in the first place. The food was still good and we love the location and ambience. The servers were all nice, just not that 'attentive'/ 'aware' at times. Millennial's. ;-)
Good food, fair pricing, clearly marked tables with distancing measures in place.
