Meeting our best friends
Son arrived early for 1030 seating. He and his younger teen aged sister where carrying gifts and flowers for their mother.
Staff seated them in the coldest and next to a full family of 6 plus two small ones nonsun until 11:45 as our 90 mins booking was ending. .
On this special day no celebration by your staff or setup.
Espresso machine out for maintenance
No proper dispensing of pepper or salt that slow for mixing by your staff and delivered to our table as “pepper”. Which what was ordered.
What was delivered was one pepper pack and 4 salt packs all similar. Salt allergies made for a bad meal.
We had a fantastic time this past weekend at the Shipyards enjoying the patio, the view and the foods and drinks!!
Warm welcome, great staff (dog friendly as well) and lovely drinks and food. Will definitely come again
Mostly good...find a tad expensive especially starters.
Checked in, was told my table was being cleaned. So I waited while I watched 3 other parties after me get seated. Appears I had been forgotten and the hostess seemed to imply that
Server was nice but I literally only spoke to him twice as he came to take my order and give me the bill. Didn’t check on how the food was or if I needed a refill.
Been here several times during the newer restrictions and they’ve been good except this visit
Great food, service & view. But the pop music kills the weekend morning vibe. Cool jazz or ambient tunes would've been better.
Great Experience. Manager was outstanding. Sincerely pays attention to his customers.
Will be back soon!

Came here for a friends birthday! we were a party of 5 and dined during the restrictions of patio / outdoor dining only.
They have a lot of tables outdoor and it’s really nice, have umbrellas and heaters around and since we were a big table we had a large umbrella that covered us whilst it was raining but I would say if you’re a smaller party you could possibly get wet as they have smaller umbrellas.
Our server was really kind but I think you could kinda tell she was new as she had to come back to ask us things (totally fine! ) but the part I got a bit flustered about is that she got our orders wrong for the desserts.
Our mains were pretty good .. I had the salmon which I enjoyed! However they brought our desserts at the SAME TIME that our mains came out????? The whole table ordered a milk chocolate brownie which had a scoop of ice cream and they came out at the same time as our mains. We were kinda upset because the ice cream would have melted by the time we finished our mains and the brownie wouldn’t have been warm anymore ..... from sitting out in the cold so we really don’t understand why they served it at the same time.
After asking them to put the desserts in the fridge or something because we didn’t want our ice cream to melt ... they agreed but when they came out again they were ROCK SOLID!!!! literally couldn’t even cut through it and it felt like a rock if you were knocking your spoon against it. It was a huge let down and literally none of us finished our desserts which was $10. On top of that I ordered 2 desserts and she only gave me one so I guess our server forgot about one of the orders. It was ok tho in the end because The brownies were soooo rock hard I didn’t even wanna eat.
Otherwise, I think the mains were nice and so is the ambiance. I would try to go on a sunny day! Otherwise ,,, the experience dining here was nice. Overall 3.5/5 maybe.
I booked lunch for my mom and I about 5 days before the reso and they gave us the best seat on the patio! Such a fabulous experience!
I had a great time at Tap and Barrel! The staff were all incredibly nice, the food was delicious and the selection of drinks was great. The patio is huge and we had tons of space between us and other groups. I'll definitely be coming back here!
We had a great server. Lovely evening. Problem was we called ahead with a special request details were discussed with day manager who assured that night team would be prepared. When we arrived nothing had been prepared as asked. This was a special occasion and it was very frustrating.
Our server was very cheerful and prompt. Even with all the restrictions in place we were able to enjoy a very tasty meal. Personally I love the extra space and all the tables outside. I often can’t get a table outside because there isn’t enough so bring on the extra outdoor seating!
Great food, view and service. Our waitress Sierra was fabulous
Staff was really nice and put us at the table with a gorgeous view of the Skyline (Requested ahead of time 🙂)
Food was super delicious and servers came around enough without feeling overwhelming.
The staff was super friendly and congratulated us on our 8 year anniversary. They reserved a table with an amazing view. It was perfect!
You should go check this place! I had an amazing foods with the best view.
We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with amazing service.
We absolutely loved the place. Service and ambience was great!! Food was good but the quantity was a bit less as compared to the price of the item. Overall loved it!
The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was well organized, they were on top of sanitization, tables were spread out and covid protocols were in placed. They have an extensive outdoor patio and offer reservations which is a plus!
I came for lunch with my parents... and our server was not friendly at all... he didn’t do proper quality checks or asked if we needed anything else when we got the food, And the food was cold (not his fault). I asked for extra well done fries (I know a big ask, but my child won’t eat them unless they’re done that way) and they were super soggy. The deep fried pickles are usually my favourite and I order them every time without a doubt, but this time they had SO much batter on them I just felt sick after eating. I had also ordered a strange fellows beer and it wasn’t cold, it was just a little under Luke warm.
I normally don’t complain but the last few times I’ve been there the quality of service and food has been pretty bad. I understand we’re in a pandemic and everyone is just doing the best they can, but you’re running half capacity.. more focus should be on quality not quantity while people are choosing to spend their money at your place- to support your business.
I had my two young children with me 10 months and 3 years and I had called prior to ask if I could put my name down for the wait list as it was really hot out and I couldn’t have my younger one in the sun (totally understand this isn’t your problem). The hostess said there’s nothing I can do I will have to just come, put my name down and wait. I called back hoping to speak with a different hostess and she then explained to me that I can go on the wait list on open table, which helped me out A LOT.
Sorry to sound like a Karen.. but after 3 times of the same thing happening I feel like it’s best you guys know so you can improve.
Good food, Great location and good services
we had brunch the brunch menu was limited though
It was a treat to be able to enjoy the sunshine and some delicious food.
The shipyards location has breathtaking scenery and a wonderful patio. The staff were friendly and despite the busy time of day we didn't wait long.
Can I suggest a more varied soft drink or alcohol free cocktail menu.
Best seat on the patio looking to the city from the north shore. Absolutely breathtaking. People walking by with dogs and smiles in the sunshine. Pink bubbles were a flowing and Emily, our server, was fun and efficient. Plenty of variety on the menu. Good times!
Went for brunch
Expensive a 9 ounce glass of wine for over 30.00 once tax in is crazy! Food was good, but overall expensive for what you get. The "heaters" on the decks were limited and meant it was VERY cold as a guest.
Went for dinner on the patio because of the new restrictions. We got to our table and I asked to be moved as it was cold and there was no heater. Our waitress told us that when making reservations, we have to request a heater for the table, although it wasn’t stated anywhere) Luckily for us, We were moved within 10 minutes to a table with a heater. We order the PB$J burger and the Cajun a chicken Cobb Salad. The egg on top of the salad was perfect! We finished our dinner just in time before the rain started. Definitely would come again!
We have been to this restaurant quite a few times. Location, ambience and drinks are great. The food is good but has room to improve.
Server was nice and kind and amazing!! Nice view with wine and beer...
Easy booking - patio right by the water. ONLY con was the table was so long I felt really far from my boyfriend and you can’t move the chairs to be closer.
The waitress was not very nice and kind she didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and I felt very uncomfortable and not very welcomed
Our food was great! The service was on point and the ambiance was nice.
Social distance was in practice, felt safe but not overwhelmed.
Huge patio area with great view, salmon was very good.
The service was incredibly accommodating and kind.
It was good environment and friendly people and good food
COVID measures were really well done and service was kind and efficient.
I ordered a lettuce bun for my burger. It literally came with a limp piece of romaine on top of a tiny patty. If I could post a photo here of this poor presentation, I would. Red Robin (of which i should never compare a nice restaurant to) has a thick crispy iceberg lettuce bun beautifully presented. Very disappointing and it’s not just the lack of flavor, the presentation was horrific and the fact that an expediter thought this was good to go is surprising. Too bad. We liked this restaurant
There was lipstick on one of our glasses and the service was not great.but the food overall was good. The margarita pizza had a pool of oil on top tho:/
Really good food, got a patio spot, nice and warm with the heaters, good food and drinks, love their happy hour. Nice people & quick service.
