The only thing that I really do not like about this location of the Tap & Barrel are the small metal seats. Very uncomfortable and then in addition to that, we had to sit in the high small metal seats which are even more uncomfortable. I took my large team there because it is close to our office but if I had a choice I would not go due to the seats.

All the hard surfaces make the noise levels a bit high for comfortable conversation. The cement floors and metallic chairs make so much noise - that should be an easy fix. Everything else was quite nice. Thanks.

A very different experience from the one I had a year prior for Valentine’s Day. No consideration for my seating request, even though there seemed to be room in the upstairs dinning area they placed my partner and I in the least romantic section right in front of the bar at a high table for 8 people. I had a asked to be moved to a table where we’d at least be alone, but the music (which wasn’t a good playlist) was so loud there my partner didn’t want to have conversation. First 3 main dishes I ordered from the menu weren’t in stock, so I settled for something I didn’t want and the food only came out alright. Disappointed overall and clearly not a place to take a date, despite my previous good experiences here.

I had the mushroom pizza added prosciutto on a GF crust. So so good. Server recommended it and it didn’t disappoint. I always come to this place when I’m in town for work. Great atmosphere as well.

We were seated in the bar area and it was super loud, I would’ve thought mentioning that we were on a date would help get us to the booth area, as we walked to the washrooms we both noticed how nice, quiet and relaxed it was in that area. If I had known earlier I would’ve asked to be moved but it was so busy. My husband wasn’t impressed with the steak, it was chewy and not worth the upgrade to the strip steak. We had the dine out menu and even though it was cheaper and my food was great, they were kinda small portions. We even ordered truffle fries as well and they were a very small portion. The cocktails were nice. The table service was great, the guy that served us was energetic and attentive.

Server was at best tolerable. Very inattentive and appeared to be bothered when asked for two glasses of water at time time of our drink order. Food was good and fairly quick and ambiance was nice. Overall nice restaurant with beautiful surroundings.

Our server was amazing. We have had the same gentleman the last two times we were in and he was great with checking my dinner was safe as a celiac and also suggesting great wines. When they were out of milk which my daughter requested he suggested a Shirley Temple which was great. Only complaint we had was we waited a long time for the bill but then saw on the table we could pay via credit card at the table. Would have been great to be told about this at the end of the meal or to receive a bill as we prefer to pay by debit.

We went for the NYE celebration. It said the tickets included canapes, but there was barely any food being served. I was able to spot only 2-3 trays coming out every hour or so. I would have like to see more food to be sent out or the price reduced for the event.

The DJ and his music were not good at all and he was not exciting and did nothing and he only played the music and I did not like it and it was a very ordinary ceremony. I am very sad that I had suggested this place to my friends.

DJ was poor! Would not take requests from other older music eras. Very prejudice about @keepibg the vibe for younger generation. I am a regular and was extremely disappointed! Won’t go here again next new years! Preferred more seating too!

Came here for New Year’s Eve and it was great. The set menu was good value and tasted really good. The only negative was the food didn’t arrive at the table at the same time. One of our guests had to wait an extra 5 minutes for their meal which shouldn’t happen especially with a set menu.

Overall a great visit. The restaurant decor is really nice and I love the wine barrel stack at the entrance. Loved the guac & salsa with chips to start. Our main meals were fresh & tasty and the only critique would be my steak was on the tough side. The garlic mashed were lovely and the carrots were delicious. The Spicy Tuna burger was very different but super tasty. Our server was nice and attentive but not bothersome at all. She provided the perfect amount of attention and payment processing was very quick… we didn’t have to hunt her down which often happens. Our overall experience was a great one. It was NYE so they were busy but all our service times were quick We would and will visit again

Terrible food. Looked dried out. Service was terrible. Waiter walked past empty water and beverage glasses about 6 times and didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks. He then glared over our shoulders when paying and entering a tip. Very rude when he saw his tip and no thanks.

Sadly, the poke bowl I had was one of the worst ever anywhere. The rice was old and dry, and there was very little flavor at all. My daughters pizza was very average, but acceptable. I won’t return.
