Tapagria is a Spanish Tapas restaurant bringing authentic Iberian dishes to the heart of Commerce Valley in Markham. Set in an exposed brick building that combines classic Spanish tiles with industrial fixtures, natural wood and steel finishes, the restaurant offers a large dining area, stunning new private dining rooms and a bar that overlooks the open concept kitchen for an interactive experience.

Starting with the bone marrow, they gave us a round one with no marrow inside and the shank one had barely any marrow. The Paella with lobster they give you a tiny piece of lobster. Shrimps are small and rubbery, and the calamari was scarce. The paella was also missing the crunchy bottom which is what a paella is all about. The anchoas (anchovy) starter had one tiny anchovy, and zero flavour. The flan was cold, and tasted expired. Not a real spanish flan. Churros seemed frozen and refried. Was my birthday and mentioned to staff, no s given, not even a free dessert for the birthday boy. Seems like shrinkflation hit this restaurant but the inflation on the prices are excessive so they get you from both ends. I’d suggest to avoid this place, not worth it.

We had a delightful lunch, with excellent service and flavorful dishes. This time, I ventured to try a few new tapas, including the Truffled Beef Carpaccio and Golden Beets with Chili Ricotta, both of which were exceptional.

Food was fantastic. Ambience was great and welcoming. Our wait staff were super nice and accommodating. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they spelled happy birthday with the dulce de leche and gave us a candle. It was very nice of them. I would recommend the grilled steak and the radicchio and kale salad was delicious. Highly recommended!

Our server, Carlos and the manager, were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and I appreciated the attention of the rest of the staff.

This place is a hidden gem tucked away in a regular plaza. Inside is spacious with a cozy, rustic look. Beef Empanadas and Mushroom Croquetas tasted good. The croquetas had a nice truffle flavour. Jamon Wrapped Dates were delicious. The salty ham and sweet dates made a tasty combo. Calamari Frito and Pan Con Tomate with Anchovies were decent. The anchovies were a bit small though. Paella de Tapagría was pretty tasty. It had lots of seafood and meat on top, and the rice was soaked in flavorful gravy. Churros were quite crispy and not greasy, though would have been nicer to pair with chocolate sauce than dulce de leche. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We especially liked our hostess, who was always smiling and knew a lot about the dishes. Delicious meal and the service was incredible! Our server was very accommodating, as we had a dairy allergy in our group. Appreciated her taking the time to check our selections for no dairy before serving. Other than that, everything tasty and had a great time.
