   From the delightful hostesses who greeted us at the door to our servers, everyone was gracious and on point. There was a kind attentiveness that stayed true to the more relaxed vibe at Tavern on the Green in its new(ish) incarnation while maintaining the excellent food and ambience you would expect. At a time when I hear so many diners complaining about service, Tavern on the Green is an oasis where you instantly feel welcomed and cared for.

    It was a dream as a little girl to eat at Tavern on the Green however every-time I came to NYC, there wasn’t enough time or it was closed or reservations were full. I took a day to myself, and I made a reservation for one and was able to get in. The service was excellent. The food was very good, and I truly enjoyed it.

    The whole experience was delightful, right up until when the bill came and you charged me $16 for the truffles, you spiraled right down. You do something nice then you cheapen it by charging us. It’s not the amount, it’s the audacity. We spent $200 on lunch then you squeeze us. Poor move! I used to own a business, and I know you’re always looking to cut expenses, but whomever suggested this wasn’t very tuned into Quality Service.

    I come back frequently for brunch because of the outdoors ambiance and good food. Area for improvement: Tables for two are too close to each other, no privacy in conversation.

    We had a lovely brunch on the outdoor patio early on a Sunday morning. Service was attentive; the two eggs benedict dishes were well-prepared; and the bartender’s take on the Bloody Mary was excellent, with both some heat and horseradish. Sunday mornings are a great time to visit this icon.

    We had a wonderful time at Tavern on the Green. It was a beautiful night and we were pleased with the whole evening. We were seated promptly, provided great service and enjoyed our meals. The food wasn’t spectacular but it was good (Salmon - very good, Ravioli - nothing special but good). The ambiance is what makes this place special. I will definitely return.

    I’ve been to Tavern on the Green every time I visit New York. This visit my meat was burned not prepared medium well. Everything was cold. My daughters meal was prepared to her liking. Not sure why the food was cold.

    Excellent brunch!! It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining through the glass room where we were seated. We all had a different entree and each and every one was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our basket of pastries were also delicious. I hope someday to return!!!💞

    Beautiful spot! My daughter and I were celebrating her graduation over brunch and it was a wonderful place to be. Would highly recommend to anyone as a special occasion spot or just a spot to enjoy for absolutely no reason at all.

    Great location for brunch! We were seated in the glass room which was a bit toasty but not terrible. Other parties asked to move as soon as they were seated & they were very accommodating. Bacon & French toast & variety bread basket app were all amazing!

    Was here six years ago in the middle of winter. This experience was equal to that one and absolutely wonderful. Fabulous musical entertainment Friday was a perfect addition. You could not have scripted the floor show-darling children twirling & dancing, as well as the wonderful mix of couples. A highlight was seeing Mustafa again. He was so wonderful & fun then, it’s a testament to his work that he is still with the restaurant. Bravo. The patio was sublime, and the food was beautifully presented and outstanding.     We were the first ones in the restaurant and we didn’t see our server for almost 15 minutes. Other people around us were being greeted and brought water while we just sat there. When our server finally came, she did not apologize for the wait, asked us if we were ready to order and didn’t mention anything about lunch specials after she took our drink orders we heard two other waiters telling their tables about the lunch specials. She came back to the table with our drinks. We asked her about the lunch specials told her we needed a few more minutes and she disappeared again for 10 minutes. With also ordered the truffle fries and were told that they weren’t ready to be made for the day and that we were just getting regular ones just disappointing to be at Tavern on the Green and to have a sub par experience.

    We ate inside in the dining room. Service was very slow. My husband ordered the 28 day aged sirloin steak. He ordered it medium but it came out well done and looked like shoe leather. We sent it back. The second time it came out a little under done but that was much better than over done. The manager came over and comped our drinks which was very nice. I was there to celebrate my birthday and they gave us a complimentary dessert. Overall food and drinks were very good.

    The Tevern on the Green is a beautiful spot. The outdoors area has a great ambiance about it especially when the sun goes in. There was a live singer with an amazing voice in the background. The only thing I would say that let it down was the temperature, once it dropped it was very cold and made us want to leave alot sooner then we had planned. One of us was vegan and there were very limited choices. The vegan main was quite bland.

    I am sorry to say this classic restaurant no longer lives up to the name. Service was friendly but spotty; perhaps our waitress was overworked as the restaurant was busy. But the food…. A fig appetizer had great potential but not enough figs and rubbery prosciutto. Rack of lamb ordered med/rare came out well done with a side of very bland polenta. The staff was very cooperative when it was sent back and a tasty crab cocktail substituted with no issue. Shrimp cocktail was fresh but a little chewy. Took forever to get the check. We won’t be going back anytime soon.
