   We had to have our seats moved as the table they sat us was in the sunniest portion of the restaurant. It was intolerable due to the brightness and the heat generated. Other than that everything was fine.

   This newest version of Tavern on the Green is great! Food is fantastic, staff was very welcoming and the decor is lovely! Go on a sunshiny day or to enjoy the lights in the evening! Such a special spot!

   Tavern on the Green is a New York institution, and I'm glad to know it's still a very viable place for us New Yorkers. It's too fabulous a spot to leave just to visitors. The setting is utterly spectacular even in winter, and in the warmer months, on the patio, it is even more so. The hospitality was excellent without being cloying. The food was a mixed bag. Nothing terrible. But the crab cake, for example, was more cake and very mayonnaise-tasting than is standard at good restaurants, where the crab dominates. Figs with honey would have been perfect if there were more than one quartered fig. There were plenty of greens concealing the lack of figs. The espresso was so good we requested to know its source and we have all since ordered bags of the beans for our own home consumption.

   Absolutely stunning location. Food was very good. Our server was attentive. Dessert was awesome. This isn’t worth taking kids or picky eaters too. Vegetarian/Vegan options aren’t terrific. Happy to say I’ve been there.

    Horrible experience. Food tasted badly and under cooked! Service providers were rude! Bad experience overall. With over 100 restaurants to choose from in the Central Park area you are better off saving your time and your money. Don’t bother

    We were here from England for a 50th birthday and having never been here before we were going off reputation, but I can say it was the best meal and experience we have had. The food was amazing and our server, Jose, was exceptional. We are planning a return trip to New York so we can visit again!

    I choose this restaurant on a birthday dinner. The restaurant was not so busy on a sunday so it was nice. The service was very good but the food was a bit to simple.

    It was fun to be back at Tavern on the Green, now under new management. It's not as splashy or kitschy as the old version...no more topiaries or wildly colorful chandeliers. But, it's still a magnificent NYC icon. Service was fantastic! Thank you, Madison for making our brunch even more fun. The food? It was good. But I did need to drink a lot of water afterward. Had a bit of that sodium drenched feel you get from ingredients that might've been frozen.

    We hadn’t been to TOTG since before the current chef was there. This was an incredible dining experience. Excellent and creative food with thoughtful touches (warmed milk for coffee), attentive and friendly service, the bar, dining rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and just an overall air of quality for a special occasion.

    The food and the service were great. The portions were just the right size. The only thing that affected the rating was being placed in a room with large glass walls - the view was beautiful, however, it was very very hot and very sunny due to the glass walls. I strongly recommend the food, and service, but would request a different room when making reservations for a mid morning brunch.

    We had an amazing birthday brunch for my daughter and niece! We ordered the basket of pastries for the table and everything was delicious. We ordered and shared biscuits and gravy, the French toast, and the breakfast pizza. Everything we ate was delicious, but the French toast was the star of the day! Our server was awesome and even brought the girls a piece of birthday cake! We loved our meal and experience and hope to return on our next NYC trip.

    It is a lovely place, so beautiful, and definitely iconic. Perfect location to go explore Central Park when you are done. The wait staff was wonderful, food was delicious, and we had a great time!

    We were sat in the bar despite having a reservation. Food was good but I have had better for less. Really paying for being in the park, which is great and worth it when you can see it but not so great when sat in the bar without a view.

    The food was very good and the ambiance is impossible to beat, it’s just such a fun spot. However I do have 2 things that were problematic: 1-the table arrangements are so packed together that you’re basically eating with strangers and you literally can’t get into your seat with out shifting the table back and forth so you don’t smash someone at the table next to you just trying to get in or out of your seat. I get it; we are in NYC, but we aren’t overweight people—it shouldn’t be that hard to get your seat in a booth. The second thing I’ll mention is we had very good service from our primary server, but once we hit 40 mins at our table it was like the sharks started circling us on our little island/table. Multiple times bussers were trying to take our plates when we still had food on them. Needless to say, we felt rushed and I don’t want to feel that when I’m out trying to enjoy a fun brunch.

    The food was only okay I’m afraid. The classic prawn cocktail starter felt like the prawns had been sitting in the glass in a fridge all day. The tips were grey and it was ice cold. The buratta salad was nice but overall the food felt like there was no love. My husband was happy with his fish main. Our waiter Christian was great. Really pleasant helpful and friendly. All the staff were lovely. The decor is a little dated but the building is beautiful. We had a lovely afternoon it was just that the food was a little disappointing
