The food was so lovely. We had an awesome server and the chef was so fun. Yui (I think) really joined in on the fun and we will definitely return. I would have liked it if we could have slowed down the food slightly. We had just received our miso when Yui had started serving the food. Other than that, I had such a great birthday so thank you.
We're been this restaurant many times and this is a very good service and delicious food restaurant and we love it so much. It’s strong recommend.
We’re enjoy the environment and nice customer service teams. We feel warm welcome each time when we were in.
Good experience, great food, fun environment, 4 stars ⭐️
Amazing food and atmosphere. The food I’d always great with friendly and fun chefs.
We went for a New Years dinner. We were seated and within a minute they wanted our order. We were not yet prepared. They insisted we order ASAP bc others on the table were ready. We ordered and they brought the food and cooked it all within 15 mins. No real teppanyaki experience. The chef used a ton of oil so everything was greasy. The fried rice was stale. The cook was not really engaged and just did what she had too. Overall
The food was horrible, service just as bad. I wouldn’t come back here again.
Food was great but service was not great. Did not have enough cutlery and server wasn’t around much to help. Overall ok experience, the food made up for the lack of service for sure.
The general service and our chef were great. The food was fine, but very simple and really didn't have the 'wow' factor I expected for the price. We had one 9 oz sake, 1 margarita and 4 set menus with total bill over $400.
Service was good, food ok at best. Had a long hair in my dessert... and a very meager compensation for it. Will not return.
We have the village it was a good variety of the different dishes was a good portion and very tasty!
This was a disappointment. Food was bland. You can’t serve sauce and not season the meat and vegetables. All that happens is you add sauce of 3 types on the top. The filet was tough, prawns flavourless as well as the scallops. The chicken was ok. Vegetables consisted of green pepper and onion with some sprouts. Was not worth the $48 per person. Salad and Miso soup were good. Our server was wonderful.
The food was excellent. The chef was fabulous. The service was above and beyond. We had a dietary issue and they handled it with perfection and care. We were most grateful.
First the good: excellent service, great ambience, yummy food. But now the bad: very small portions for $50 each. We each ordered "The Village' teppanyaki platter and all 4 of us left hungry including our children. I don't mind paying extra for the personal chef/show experience but not if we have to go and for another dinner after. Fun experience but very poor value. We won't go back.
The service was excellent and everyone was really friendly and the chefs put on a great show so it’s very entertaining. However, I’ve been to many tepanyaki restaurants and have eaten a lot of Japanese food and, for me, it wasn’t the finest for example tepanyaki restaurants often do a really delicious egg fried rice on the grill which is fun to watch but this restaurant just serves straight boiled rice. Still worth going for the experience, though.
Good Service and friendly environment, but for the price the servings are far too small.
It was amazing. Excellent presentation. Service. Value. Covid restrictions have left the place feeling empty. Our meal felt quick but I assume it was to allow for maximum circulation of dining customers. No complaints though.
Great little show, chef was amazing and the service was great. We both got the Village signature dinner and it had a little bit of everything which was cooked to perfection :) Would definitely come back.
Great fun, friendly staff and delicious food. A little pricey for what you get but a great experience overall.
Village special good!! Pricey, but you're paying for the fun of show cooking.
Amazing experiences at Teppan village! Staff were very kind, and the food was amazing. Quite times in Whistler making it the best time to go to Teppan village.
Very nice and clean. They have 30% off the signature specials as their 30th anniversary promotions, excellent deals. A glass of house wine also at special price of $6. Definitely worth giving them 20% tips as their staff and cook are attentive
arrive at 8:00pm wait about 10-15 mins to get ppl help me order food. After we ordered everything and 20 mins later they are telling me 75% of my orders placed has sold out. I ends up start to eat at 9pm. After one hour waiting, I end up eating chicken breast and 3 shrimps at a restaurant rate. Well we try to talk to the manager at 9 and they offer us to leave or give us a discount. 😂 she offer us leave at 9pm after one hour wait. This is bad! Basic principle to run the business, don’t sell the staff you don’t have and don’t waste your customer’s time. Don’t go there, they don’t even care about the customer! As an Asian, the food this very bad. This is a very fair review.
So entertaining every time we go. Great service and food.
All good. They did a great job with the whole COVID list of considerations, social distancing etc. Very comfortable, and having greatly reduced numbers in the restaurant made it so much better for conversation.
This was good choice!
Great restaurant for 50th anniversary! Enjoyed the food and experience!
It was the second time that I’ve visited this place, and it is awesome!
Will definitely come back in the future!
The Food was excellent. Watching the chef perform was very cool! Had never been to a Japanese restaurant, so didn’t know how quickly your meal came! Our pre dinner drink became desert.
Celebrating retirement, we arrived at 6 and were the first customers. Excellent
Fabulous food and great service. Friendly wait staff
Our server lacked social etiquette
The dinner show was mediocre
The whole experience paled in comparison to tempanyaki restaurants in Vancouver. I expected far better for Whistler.
Dinner and a show!
A little pricy, but it’s teppanyaki so I get it. Food was good. Cook was awesome. Would go back!
We went out as a family to Teppan village because we were on holidays and it’s our favourite place.
We have been to this style of restaurant before, overall it was ok. Food was tasty but we felt the overall value was average. Wishing we had found a patio dinner
Really like the beef. Staff are friendly. Overall great family experience.
Show was great. Chef was super cool!
Only getting a 4 for the service and she didn’t come around as much as I would have liked it. It was not busy and there was only 2 of us at the table.
Fun and entertaining dinner with performances that kept kids still and in their seats. Food was good and service was great.
The food was great but the portions were very small. I still felt very hungry after eatting my meal and I’m a very petite person.
So fun! We went for date night and had a great time. Sake :)
on time, good food and no issues getting a reservation
