    Haven’t been to one these Japanese style grills in a while but it was well worth it. We had steak, chicken and salmon, some sweet potato tempura and miso soup. It was all very delicious. That fresh taste right off the grill can’t be beat, and the sauces that come with everything are just so tasty they make it all come together. The only slight disappointment was the portion size for the cost. It’s a little expensive but still very tasty. Overall it was totally worth it and we can’t wait to come back again. Be prepared to have some big flames in front of your face!

    This is a very nice restaurant if you don't mind sharing a table with other people and if you don't mind being entertained while your food is being cooked. My biggest complain would be the server that we had, she seemed to be in a rush the whole time and was rude. Apart from the service, the food itself was OK, nothing bad but nothing to brag about. The best part of my meal was the appetizers, which included a salad, miso soup and some shrimp tempura. The appetizers were delicious, however the main Entree was a NY steak which was OK at best.

    We ordered the teriyaki chicken. Unfortunately the chicken didn’t appear to be cooked well enough and several members of our family became ill last night. We have been here a few times before without incident but unfortunately this visit was not satisfactory.

    We had an 8pm reservation, we were seated promptly and service began immediately. Our server was great and she got us our drinks quickly and the chef was funny, engaging and prepared some amazing meals. Hot tip - get the sesame sauce on your rice for a real treat!

    We love coming every year, the food is wonderful and the chefs are always wonderfully entertaining! We've noticed the servers have typically lacked warmth or interest. Also, for the amount of food you get, it is very expensive. A wonderful treat, but could be better!

    They were renovating for a while so this is our first time back since and holy moly the service was awful. Come here if you want the waitress to give you attitude and snap back at a simple question right at the beginning. The whole experience was also very rushed. Stove was on for only 30 mins and they’re kicking me out at the 50 minute mark already. Chef was great though, Yuni, I believe. Great attitude and good fun. Probably wouldn’t come here again.

    Was a great experience! So cool having the chef cook in front of us. Was able to accomodate a coeliac guest, cooked their food in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination on the grill.

    Had a good experience at Teppan Village, the Chef was really good and entertaining however I was food was not up to our standard. I would recommend this place for entertainment but not for the food.

    why was garlic fried rice not done by the teppanyaki chef in front on us while dining? garlic rice was cold and would be nice to see it prepared in front of us

    Overall, it was very mid. Service was great with a prompt and kind wait stuff and a fun hibachi style chef. However the food quality was mediocre and the value just wasn’t there unfortunately

    The NY steak was pretty soft compared to filet mingnon. They were cooked to medium rare. The sauce was ok. It did not compliment the meat much. The young chef did a decent job of entertaining us. Service was mainly good, but I had to remind/call them back for service. I would go again when I go visit Whistler.

    Limited menu. Small portions, pricy for what you get. The 3 special sauces are for dipping, no sauces or other seasoning for the bowl of rice. Bean sprouts cooked after rest of meal almost done. Little seasoning/favour to the cooked vegetables. Waitress didn't know what kind of "wild"salmon they served. The cooking show was ok. We would choose another dinner option in the future.

    Honestly was terrible. Most expensive meal I have ever had. 6 pieces of beef and 6 pieces of chicken, regular rice and vegetables cost $66. Same meal at another Teppanyaki would cost about $20 less. And they are so cheap that they charge extra for the good rice. The meal costs the company probably $10! or less and I pay 600% mark up. Also, can of beer was $10. Liquor store $3. On top of everything, you can’t enjoy anything as you are forced to eat quickly, can’t enjoy your food as they want to quick turn around. I was barely done my meal and the bill was already in front of me. And the visa machine starts at 18% tip. If the service was good I’ll happily tip, but staff hated their jobs and life and didn’t want to be there. I have been to a number of Teppanyaki restaurants and this one is a rip off. I would not recommend going there. Save your money. $180 for two people. You can get 3 or 4 meals for that at other restaurant.

    Overall, the ambience and food were good. We did wish we had a different chef though as the chefs at the other tables were more upbeat and fun. We were busy watching the chef’s at the other tables than our own who didn’t look like he wanted to be there. Our second time here and would go back but if we had the same chef, I would ask to switch tables.
