Crispy Artichokes with Wasabi Aioli v mvg mwf
Muddled blueberries and fresh mint with grey goose vodka and fresh lemon juice
The most delicious Italian food in a beautiful setting. Pricing was fair for all we got. Wine list was excellent too. Can’t wait to go back.
Not spectacular or earth shattering, solid. Standard fair. You’ve had everything they serve there better someplace else but overall a nice experience.
Getaway vacation to the Hudson Valley.
Four of us ate there for dinner, which was delicious. Everyone loved the wild mushroom and butternut squash soups for starters and then the organic salmon and filet mignon/ribs for entrees. The creme brulee for dessert was done just right. The main dining room is beautiful, fashioned from a lovely 19th century church, featuring high wooden ceilings, original chandeliers and even an organ on the balcony! The waitstaff is efficient and friendly. Heartily recommended.
We had a great meal and the staff was fantastic. The only thing, they ran out of the mushroom soup we wanted about an hour and half before closing but everything else we tried was very tasty, including the bread and the drinks!
Our Dinner was fantastic! The staff was very helpful and happy to help. Our waiter Patrick was terrific, he made recommendations with food and drinks and is very personable. I highly recommend Terrapin Restaurant.
Great restaurant, we enjoy our meal and how attentive our waiter Patrick was. I would definitely recommend this place.
We ended up eating at the red room side so the noise level was a bit higher and the ambience more casual than the dining room, but that was perfect for my family’s preferences. Our server was fantastic last night & all the food was delicious.
My entree was mediocre but edible. Drinks were good and service was very good & friendly.
My hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary up in Rhinebeck, NY. Decided to have dinner at Terrapin. What a great choice! We were seated promptly in an area away from others as requested. Beautiful decor, open & airy with great lighting. We were also lucky enough to get PAIGEas our server. She was attentive, warm, and made excellent suggestions. We stated with the goat cheese dumplings and the duck quesadilla. Both appetizers melted in our mouth with excellent flavor. My main course was scallops with a Thai curry rice & toast cauliflower. Delicious!!! My husband had the duck again, this time two ways. He enjoyed it immensely. All the servers and waitstaff were super attentive at clearing dishes, serving water, & even bringing out a 2nd basket of their hot, buttery rolls! I give them 5 stars across the board for outstanding meal & service!
Lovely food- great cheese dish and mushroom soup.
Noise level a bit high
I came here with my sister for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. The mushroom bisque and quesadilla appetizers were both excellent as was the Salmon with potatoes and sautéed spinach as well as the beef short rib with mashed potatoes and melted Gruyère crostini. The dessert of the day was a superb bread pudding with Apple compote. The former Baptist church makes for a lovely dining experience. Service was good and overall it was a very good meal and good value.
The food and service are always fantastic! Beautiful ambience in a converted church. We have never been disappointed.
The food was excellent with a great variety of options. Our server Patrick was very knowledgeable, made great recommendations and was outstanding.
Been here multiple times and never disappointed. Patrick (our waiter) was incredible. Always has recommendations and very attentive.
We tried their prefix menu during restaurant week. Thank you to Patrick, the waiter, who made the evening extra special. Patrick was entertaining, explained the menu, and made great suggestions with the drink and food menu. The food was wonderful, especially their fig truffle quesadilla, mushroom soup and the blueberry pie with ice cream.
We can tell the chef/owner takes pride at his craft. Worth a visit!
Wonderful server and the food was delicious too!
Very good. Can't wait to go back.
Short ribs tender and large. Too bad the third course couldn't have been a healthy salad rather than a heavy desert.
Downstairs bathroom was seedy but functional.
Lovely dinner at Terrapin last night! It was restaurant week and the choices were delicious. Our waitress was a sweetheart. It’s a beautiful restaurant.
Food was great, that artichoke dip is next level. The ambience was good, definitely would recommend.
2 month anniversary
Always love the food at Terrapin. Great atmosphere, excellent service!
Delicious never disappoints. Salmon , pasta and pork chop dinners all delicious. Fig sidecar a must try.
Setting was nice. Food was fine, but nothing special. At that price point there are more flavorful options in town.
We were celebrating our anniversary dinner at Terrapin during a trip to Rhinebeck recently and were very excited about the menu. Our dinner was great, though the service was a little intermittent. I believe we were there right at the peak of foliage and it was a beautiful weekend so the restaurant was PACKED. Our server was kind and we did get everything we needed/asked for, though, so we weren't too bothered about it. It was very busy and the restaurant gets very loud with the high ceilings (though they are beautiful). We would likely return and try the bar side on our next trip upstate, and look forward to bringing friends with us.
Food was excellent. Just a little loud for my Liking.
Loud, food made me wuite ill
Fantastic from start to finish. Excellent food etc
Outstanding. This place never disappoints. Highly recommended
I made a reservation for my daughter’s 20th birthday. The food was outstanding. I had the short rib gratinee. It was fall-off-the-bone tender, flavorful and oh so good on a cool fall evening! DD had the chicken genovese. She couldn’t identify what made the dish so tasty, when I pointed out that it was likely the duck pate. My son, a teen food snob, loved the steak with fig reduction. And my husband enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli with brown butter sauce. Portions sizes were “just right”. I’m looking forward to stopping by again.
This was a beautiful experience. Our meals was cooked to perfection.
service was beyond slow. took 75 min for bread to arrive
Absolutely loved our server. I didn't get his name, but all of his recommendations were spot on and delicious. The only thing was that one of our main course meals was incorrect. But even then, it was still really good in the end. Despite that one small hiccup, I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a new place to try. This will definitely get a rerun visit out of us.
Great dinner, ambiance and service. Don’t miss the blueberry cobbler dessert !
Lovely evening. First time indoors in 2years! Yahoo! Great drinks good and service and Restaurant Week made it a GREAT value as well. Happy to be back for another wonderful meal. Terrapin- always consistent and GOOD! Thanks for being reliable every time. Makes for an easy decision as a go to comfort zone
Meal had no flavor at all. I have had the maple brined porkchop in the past and it was not as flavorless, nor as fatty as this time--it did have some things sprinkled on the top. . It was served with boiled spinach (nothing to flavor it) and a chunk of sweet potato with no flavoring.
We are both vegetarians, and appreciated the selection and willingness expressed in the varied menu to make changes to accommodate vegans and vegetarians. The food was delicious, and the service was the best I’ve experienced in quite a while; the server was knowledgeable and attentive and made appropriate suggestions to improve the dining experience.
We went during Restaurant Week.
It was quite full. We waited a long time for our drinks. Another long time for bread. And another for our food.
The food was okay- usually much better. Sorry
