Too loud and portions were too small but the food tasted great
Appetizers and mains were delish, we started with olives and bread, then had grilled calamari (a little too fishy tasting). Then we had the spaghetti di mare and cavatelli with lamb and both were really good. For dessert we had the fried nutella pastries which were heavenly and the tiramisu which was mediocre at best, it was really just a pot of mascarpone.
Amazing service and excellent food. Super fast and friendly sevice. Fantastic dining experience.
Great restaurant with amazing italian food !
The place was a bit crowded, but we would definitly go back for the high quality of the dishes.
Food was impeccable, full of flavour and great portion sizes. Service was very quick and attentive. Great location however, tight in space which made it hard to move around. Overall, great experience, will definitely come back!
Service wasn’t great, sharing pizza didn’t have pizza cutters. Customers had fun tho.
Food was good, but a little too salty. I requested a quieter spot when I made a reservation. This was not considered when we got our table. It was very noisy.
fine option if you're looking for a nice neighbourhood meal
It was too loud for an intimate dinner for two but best for groups.
It’s been a while since we have been here
Very disappointed in the quality of food , service and ambiance
Was good first time I came. Sauce was too acidic. Apps were meh...wine was good and the fried Nutella balls were great...
We had a group of 8 women and had a show to see at 8p.m. the staff was friendly fast and efficient. They brought out a wine expert and provided samples to our fussy group of women! The food was excellent, we will be back :)
We were send by friends
Fabulous in every way
Food is Devine
Everything was exquisite, from the service (friendly and super attentive) to the food (we exclaimed over everything - SO delicious). We don't know Italian wines very well, so they brought over a wine expert who chose, based on our tastes, a lovely wine that everyone liked. Great ambience, although by the time we left (at 8:30pm) the bigger groups were a bit loud for us, we had dessert but did not feel like lingering over coffee. We had two family members from the US who were very impressed, both birthday people were very happy - excellent night out. A lovely and festive place for a special occasion. Our go-to place.
The food wasn’t worth the price. I’ve had much better Italian food elsewhere.
The restaurant is incredibly organized and service was fantastic.
I love Terroni, but the noise level is really challenging when you are trying to have a conversation. But the food is amazing, so is the decor and the atmosphere. The patio on queen street is my favourite place in the city!
Family in town, sisters 40th bday
The service was especially great here -- our waitress -- Walker -- was extremely helpful and gave us room to breathe. Food was excellent! And Walker and the kitchen staff were especially mindful of my tree nut allergy as well. Thank you so much!
Fabulous evening!! First time dining on the patio and it did not disappoint. One suggestion....we were seated at one of the tables where you rest your back against the concrete wall, not comfortable!! Cushions against the wall would be perfect or some sort of padding would be great.
The service at this restaurant was very poor. We booked a reservation for 7:30 and didn’t end up getting seated until 7:55. Whilst waiting the staff was rude and unhelpful, making the service unenjoyable and hard to recommend. The food was average at best, the burrata salad was quite bland and the pasta was too oily. Dessert was the only tolerable part of this meal. Go to this place if you want to be disappointed.
It was delicious! Ever pasta dish I tried surpassed my expectations.
I was very underwhelmed by Terroni. I had been dying to go for ages based on other reviews I had read/heard. My best friend and I had dinner on Sunday afternoon, the food we were served was bland - not bad, but nothing I would remember. We had Mozzarella and Tomatoes to start, and split the Ricotta Tortellini and Margherita Pizza - pretty standard stuff. The mozzarella, as mozzarella is, was bland. The tomatoes were warm, and not dressed in anything other than basil and OVOO. My friend asked for Balsamic Vinegar to add to the dish; I can understand if a chef is touchy about someone "changing" their dish but our server blatantly said that the Mozzarella is an expensive product, and balsamic vinegar is cheap so we can't have any. I don't know if my friend was more offended that she was told by someone that her tastes were cheap, or that as an Italian she was being told that she couldn't add balsamic vinegar to a dish she has grown up eating that way. Eventually, we were brought a salt mill that didn't work. Service was slow and I had to watch every awkward exchange between my friend and our server after starting dinner off on the wrong foot. Finally, dinner was expensive. We had 2 bellini's each, so I understand that may have driven up the price however our dinner cost us over $100 in total, before tip. So while not a horrible experience, the food was not enough to bring me back, and I'm not going to risk putting a friend of mine through a rough dinner service again.
Always good value and great food, however, on this visit we had a surly waiter.... bro, if you’re not enjoying your job, stay home.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
We were seated in the patio area. Great service and even better food.
We enjoyed our lunch on the patio. We ordered grilled calamari salad and it was delicious. Service was attentive and we would definitely return with friends.
EXCELLENT. no other words needed. i cant believe how impressed I was with how delicious the food is. I've been to terroni many times, but never to the original Queen location. I would definitely say this one tops all of them.
1. Terroni - Queen
2. Terroni - Summerhill at Price
3. Terroni - Adelaide
Choice of music not the best.
Happy you added vegan options but could add more. Two more pasta and two more pizza options wouldn’t hurt.
And another vegan appetizer
It is your average Italian restaurant. Food was good, service was good. No complaints.
Fantastic all around. Great experience. The service, food, and ambiance makes it perfect for any occasion.
Great, as always.
Some of the dishes were nice but others were nothing special. Service was quick and efficient but not friendly, in fact one of our guests wondered if the waiter “ was angry about something” . Convenient location, loud and energetic environment.
Shannon is a star. Good food and wine.
We had a good night at Terroni. I thought the food and wine were very nice and a very large selection of both (maybe too large). I found our server to be abrasive and full of attitude. We asked for a margarita and we quickly came back at me with a hard NO. This type of service is unacceptable in my opinion. Your customer does want to hear NO but offering an alternative could have gone a lot further.
Not sure if this was a one off or whether there is a downward trend here. We are long time customers that have always consider the Queen Street location one of are favs. Caprese salad left alot to be desired and roggatini with zucchini tomatoes and mozzarella was a big disappointment. A few slices of zuch, cold moz and undercooked pasta. Too loud, too warm, too many flies.
Perhaps we will try the Rosdale location next time.
Outdoor patio ambiance is unreal - you genuinely feel like you could be dining al fresco somewhere in Italy. Food is fresh, authentic, and quality products. And the in-house made pasta is fantastic. Server was super helpful in picking a wine choice that was reasonably priced.
A great experience for a wedding anniversary. Was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint - the food was excellent and lots of choice for wine, separated by the different regions in Italy.
Love Terroni, this location is always great. Food is always delicious.
Always great there
You can never go wrong with Terroni. We grabbed their special, gnocchi 😍 best part was that it helped share a meal with a youth in need through Mealshare! Incredible service, even shared a sweet complimentary gelato with us to wrap up the night.
