Terroni - Queen Ratings and Reviews
Never had a problem here before, but service this time was terrible. We were given half a bottle of water between 3 of us that was not refilled the entire meal, the server was inattentive (prob saw him 3 times total), and didn’t have an opportunity to ask for something more to drink. Upon ordering, server was clearly annoyed when a guest requested the vegan menu. My spaghetti limone was inedible, there was such an overwhelming blue cheese flavour that I couldn’t manage more than two bites (I’d had this dish before and don’t think there is supposed to be any such flavour)...so those mouthfuls were $13 apiece. The waiter didn’t bother to ask about the meal when he cleared our plates (mine was obviously nearly untouched). I’m really disappointed, as terroni is a place that I’ve found to be consistently good over the years...this experience left a proverbial and literal bad taste in my mouth.
Great atmosphere and very knowledgeable staff. We were very impressed by the selection of food and wine. Our waitress was able to recommend a great meal and wine for us. Definitely going back when we come back to Toronto.
Pizza below average, especially considering its price point. Restaurant was super noisy making it almost impossible to speak (it was Friday night though)
I have noticed a sharp decline in the quality of food at the different downtown Terroni's location. Particularly at the Adelaide location although I often eat at the Queen St location.
I order the same items every time I go to any of there locations. On this particular visit I ordered my usual and as the pizza was brought out I smelled something similar to mildew or a wet rag. When the pizza was placed in front of me all I could smell was mildew. I cut a piece off and ate it and it tasted like how it smelled.
I picked a piece of the sausage off and smelled it and it smelled rank..
It took a moment to get a servers attention and they came and took the pizza away and offered me something in exchange for it however I completely lost my appetite.
It's unfortunate because it was for a long time one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto.
We had great, fast service and delicious food and drink!
Great experience as always. Our server was lovely and food was delicious!
Both food and service were great but on the pricey side. Great selection of wines in different price ranges.
Great food and service it was very loud our server was very good food was served hot we said we were in a rush and Isabella took care of us
Very tight seating. Was bumped every time servers walked past our table. Food was okay but not outstanding.
Always a solid option for good food and drink at a Toronto food chain that meets or exceeds expectations every time
Every location has its particular ambience / GHD good and service consistently good
Excellent NYE meal. Great food and ambience. I liked the bread.
Love Terroni in LA, TO’s original is as good, albeit cozier.
Terroni is a solid go to for great Italian food and a fun atmosphere. Don’t forget to grab a jar of spicy pepper paste for home. Good cocktails and a nice wine selection. Can’t go wrong.
Terroni is always on my destination list when I visit friends and family in TO.
I have been to Terroni's on several different occasions and all have been good accept this night. I requested a more private table because it was our anniversary and even though I know it's a restaurant and it's loud I figured they would accommodate the request a little bit. No, we sat right next to another table. So close I could hear their conversation the entire evening and I couldn't focus on my own. Then there was two tables within 1 meter of us with two groups of 6 people or more. The one table was so incredibly loud and rude I was extremely disappointed. I could have said something but we were almost done dinner when I was becoming more perturbed. Im shocked the waiter's didn't say anything because our table and the one to the right were constantly looking at them in shock over their rudeness. At the end of the evening I got the bill and I was forced to pay 18% gratuity for a bill under 100$! Look I get there is likely some law that prevents me from paying less but I wouldn't have given this high amount considering my evening. The service was ok but nothing special and the food was ok but not out of this world. Overall I usually have an awesome time here but was extremely disappointed this night. Might re think my decision on going back to be honest.
Our go-to place for southern Italian pizza and pasta. Consistently excellent food and service. It’s good enough to attract the local haute cuisine chefs for a comfort food meal, so definitely good enough for me. Additionally, they easily accommodate families.
We had lunch on a weekday with kids along. There is no kids menu, but plenty of items would appeal to them anyway. The mezze e mezze was delicious (basically a charcuterie plate). Squash ravioli was also very good. Pizzas were large for one person. The restaurant is cozy, so I assume it would be tough to get a large group in for dinner.
Delicious food! We went for dinner around the Christmas dates and I was impressed with the decor of live garland and leaves. The atmosphere was festive .
At this point in the game restaurants need to have a kids menu. Not necessarily chicken fingers and grilled cheese, but definitely children's sized portions.
On another note, while the variety of pasta is varied, there should also be an option of swapping one pasta with a sauce; someone in our party wanted to have ravioli with the Bolognese sauce - not a huge request.
Always a great experience dining at Terroni. I’ve lived in Toronto all of my life and this is one of a handful of restaurants that have been consistently great. Great food/wine great service and great ambience.
What else could one ask for. Thank you Terroni for being reliably top notch.
Terroni's is always consistent on all levels., food, service and price.
Came here for a Christmas-y dinner with someone that is special to me. Was a perfect place to enjoy delicious Italian food. She got spaghetti with braised lamb and i got spaghetti with black truffles.
It was incredible, there was appropriate wine offered to us that wasn't on the menu. It all tasted great. Worth the money.
The servers were good people, kind and caring. Food was quickly at the table.
Lighting is low so take that into consideration for dinner meals if you have to.
Would recommend to anyone looking to take their someone special out to a nice restaurant.
We enjoyed our meal and the pasta was homemade and delicious! Great atmosphere for a special occasion or date.
A wonderful lunch with a brilliant friend; great food and warm atmosphere. The service was attentive and fast. A notable din so not for quiet conversations.
Great quality food;
the Funghi Assoluti got my friend who is not crazy about mushrooms excited!
Fried calamari is done just right and salted perfectly;
Pasta are all done and tasted perfect!
Terroni's used to be my go-to Italian restaurant and it was always awesome all around. However, I have not been in recent years because I was not in downtown Toronto much. I've recently started working downtown again and suggested we had our company Christmas dinner at Terroni Queen.
The service was unpleasant. Our server was not very attentive and did not seem too welcoming or interested in helping our table out. While food was being placed down on the table, a plate he was carrying came very close to my face. Excess food was also brushed off the table with his bare hands which was not a very attractive sight.
I ordered the Carpaccio di Manzo to start (no complaints about that), shared a Tonnarelli alla Norcina and pizza (can not remember which one) as our main. The pasta was dry (seems like it was sitting out for a while) and the pizza was rolled really thin that there was a hole in the center. The pizza's crust was so thin that it could not hold any of the toppings, that we just had a floppy soggy mess. We ordered majority of the desserts and no one enjoyed any of it.
It is safe to say that I will now cross Terroni off my list and will not be coming back.
Stunning and gorgeous as Always
Thank you Team Terroni
Always a wonderful dining experience here, have yet to be disappointed. The staff is really great too, as our waitress was amazing!!!
My daughters 25 birthday. Our evening was lovely.
I eat here all the time and the food is always top notch. I ate here on Dec 14 and it was starting to get jammed for the Holiday Season. The pasta I ordered was very dry. I am attributing this to the number of meals they had to get out. It’s not a deal breaker but is the first below standard meal I’ve had at Terroni.
Pizzas were all great and they have a vegan menu!
I want to express how happy I was with how your staff went above and beyond for my 1 year anniversary. It was much appreciated and the level of service really added to the experience. Thano you once again
Great as always. Never disappoints. Consistently great Italian food.
Everything was amazing. Had a caprese salad to start, glass of red wine recommended by waitress, then I had the Rigatoni with Buffalo Mozzarella, and then for dessert I had the Tiramisu. The atmosphere was great and the service was impeccable. I must add one point (not necessarily negative, but good to note), you must make a reservation. You will be asked to leave if you take too long as this restaurant has a limited number of seating, and is very much in demand. They will rush you out the door if you are going past "your time allotment"!
Great! Classic spot
AMAZING SERVICE!!! all servers were fantastic, took care of you like you were royalty! Highly recommend!!
Outstanding cuisine in a cozy and casual setting. Servers know their stuff and make ordering from their vast menu easy including pairings. I enquired about vegan options and was presented with a full vegan menu for my guest. Highly recommend.
We were at the Queen St. location around 7pm November 19th, upstairs close to the front. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and gave the best advice on food to choose. Her wine choices were dead on. We had the best time, even toyed with the idea of getting an additional plate of pasta the food was so good. Luckily, we came to our senses and ordered an additional dessert instead :P 2 orders of the caramel dessert is highly recommended.
Food was fantastic. Service was great aswell. Price is medium not cheap but not too expensive. Very tight space and people with small children may feel uncomfortable because it's small but the atmosphere in the resturant is very chill and relaxed.
Would go again for sure.
We dined at Terroni's for my daughter's 22nd birthday. We had a marvelous time and both Tom, our waiter, and Oliver -- on duty that evening -- ensured our meal and the service were great! Thank you,
