Very nice place, well worth it.
We shared the mushroom salad appetizer and it was great. We dipped our bread in their olive oil imported from Italy and it was amazing. My main salad was huge...enough to take home and have as a side with dinner. The roof top patio looked appealing but it was raining, so hopefully next time!
We enjoyed our dinner at Terroni on Mother's Day. The food is always good and the service is excellent.
It’s always a zoo here and packed. Noisy but fun for families. My kids love it.
Everything is good but the noise level - it is unbearable. Impossible to have a conversation.
As always the food and service was great. The music was too loud it was hard to have a conversation. And where we were seated my friend was constantly being bumped by other patrons or by the staff passing by.
Far too noisy. NOT “energetic”
Good wine suggestion by sommelier
Food and service was incredible
If I had to complain about one thing, the noise
After an hour I had a headache from the noise level
But food and service made up for it
Had a wonderful lunch on the patio with the team. Service was exceptional, as was the food. Will definitely return through the summer to enjoy this gem.
I came here years ago and loved it; I feel like the standards have lowered since then, and they are coasting on their success of having multiple locations. I felt a bit embarrassed bringing my friends for a dinner on Tuesday night. It felt like they were trying to turn over tables as fast as they can; the space was really warm and quite loud.
What disappointed me the most was that they do not offer any sampling of their wine prior to committing to a glass. They claim that if they did this, then everyone would ask for a sample - this is an extremely poor excuse given that every wine bar or restaurant I have ever been to in Toronto offers a sample within reason. Given the cost per glass, and that they have notable for their wine list, this is a piece of service that I think is lacking. The sommelier was nice enough to try and talk to me through the night, so kudos to him on that.
However, this snobby policy was enough of a downer that night for our group that I likely will not be returning to Terroni again, nor will I be recommending the space to any of my friends or colleagues.
All good love this location!
I’ve been to this location several times but this is the first time it was less than excellent so I gave some extra points for that. The service was really delayed and while they were busy, they could have done better.
The food was fine but typically it is great.
Despite having a reservation, we were seated right next to the server station, where dishes were constantly clattering. 5 orders of Bolognese, all were cold when delivered to the table. My niece didn’t want mushrooms on the pizza she ordered, but was advised that they could not accommodate her request. Restaurant was so noisy it was impossible to hear. Very disappointed in the dining experience.
I arrived and was told that my party had just gone up, but it turns out it was someone else with the same name. That then caused confusion as they couldn’t find my reservation. I was seated, and when my date actually arrived, he wasn’t brought to the table, or even directed - but told he should go and seek me out (anyone who has navigated this location knows that that’s a tall order). Food was great as usual.
We gathered as a group of far flung friends attending an event at the Tennis Club up the street and the staff were so wonderful at every step. This is a busy place and for good reason as the food is delicious. Seeing we were wrapped in conversation, our waiter took charge, suggesting great sharing options to get us started and from there it was a delicious and sun soaked afternoon the 'fish bowl'. Thank you so much Terroni.
Good times but sooo loud
It was delicious as always and our waitress was a gem
First time there. Love the ambiance and decor. Service was super friendly and helpful. Food was ok, on average...calamari app and salad were both really wonderful. Pastas were good, but sauces lacked depth, and could have benefitted from more salt. Or, just salt on the table. We will go again and try other dishes. I hear that their summer patio is the best in the city!
Perfect as always. This time my wife tried the gluten free pasta and she said it was worth it!
Dinner was awesome and atmosphere was nice. Our waiter however could have been nicer he appeared stressed and was not very friendly.
Had a great dinner, Claudia our server was amazing. Food was quick and flavorful. Would go back.
Reservation for 11 persons and the table was ready.
Service was very slow- drinks 15 minutes and bread baskets not provoded until we asked. Very few GF options and menu not great. Ambiance - very noisy and music on loud over and above. When will restaurants get that when going out to dinner people actually want to converse.
The quality of the food was the best part - great fresh ingredients put together very nicely. The place is huge and so parts are a little loud but not disturbing. My kids both found things they wanted to try and there is always Pizza to make them happy. Overall a great meal where everyone enjoyed themselves and especially the food.
Every thing was perfect except for the cappuccino. It was cold and when they brought the replacements they were cool.....we were disappointed and staff did not ask if the seconds were okay.
As always, the food and service at Terroni was great. From the pasta to pizza, and the 35oz porterhouse, everything was delicious.
Mother’s Day lunch
My wife and I chose Terroni as it's a close walk from our house. We know the food will be of high quality and the room is great! The service started out well, but then fell off as our server appeared to be quite busy. He kept forgetting to bring certain items, such as cutlery and side plates, which was frustrating. Hopefully just an off night on the service front and we will be back for sure.
Nice atmosphere. Great food and wine. Excellent and timely service.
It was my birthday and my husband called ahead that day to let them know as he wanted to do something as we were with our young children and no one communicated anything and it was a complete miss...
still a favourite lunch spot, even though we've moved out of town, we will meet our city friends there any time - love it! (great for dinner too, great patio now that appropriate weather is coming)
Great evening! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience
We had a great dinner at Terroni Adelaide location two years ago. So, we were looking forward to a similar experience while visiting Toronto the weekend of 21-22 April. Unfortunately, my husband and I, we found our main courses not tasty and portions were very small. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. Basically, it was impossible to have a conversation while eating. The service was very fast (we had our dishes delivered in 7 minutes) and the place is accommodating and friendly towards children.
We've been coming for a few years now but it's gotten too noisy. Could be our age and gender ...
All wonderful except, the packaging of my left o er half pizza was disgusting. It was wrapped in double, folded in half, and stuffed inside a paper bag. Made me feel like I was take garbage home. In fact that is where it ended up.
Very loud and busy but good was good
This restaurant is a neighbourhood favourite. Casual ambience although it can be very noisy. It appeals to a cross-section of people including young couples, a group of friends and families with young children. The menu is varied (although we always have pizza). The wine is affordable and the service is very good ie: fast and efficient.
excellent as always
Very loud. Food consistently good.
Aside from the excellent food, we had a particularly nice and professional server
