   Small interior but charming. Food was very good but fairly limited menu. The starter was a bit bland ( mackerel) but my main (whole pheasant) was excellent. Would definitely return. Excellent friendly service.

   My grandad has Parkinson’s and chocked on his first bite of his main. He hasn’t chocked on his food in a while so this was unexpected and distressing. Obviously I do not blame this on the pub however we were all then unable to eat our mains and I quickly paid bill so we could get him medical attention. I was charged full amount despite being unable to eat and staff fully aware of what was occurring and our distress. It cost me £218 for us all to have half a drink and starter. A shame as service was initially great and food looked like it would have been nice.

   Mother’s Day lunch was superb, lovely big Sunday Roast, piping hot, succulent meat, giant Yorkshire Puddings, absolutely scrummy. Charming attentive staff, very quick service, and great value to boot. Honestly couldn’t fault it - already planning a return visit

   Great service, the food is very tasty and the log burner made sure that we were lovely and cosy on a cold day. Would definitely recommend dining here if you're visiting Burford, you won't be disappointed.

   A lovely cosy pub on a miserable evening in Burford. A very good choice across the whole menu, which made it difficult to choose for myself and fellow diners. We all thoroughly enjoyed each course. The fish pie was full of fish and portion size of everything good. Nice choice of wine too. Lovely ambiance and friendly efficient service. Definitely recommend. Good value!

   Came here for my husband’s birthday. Food was delicious, service was excellent and the atmosphere was so lovely with the candles and fire. We both had a wonderful meal and will be coming back. Definitely one of the best roasts I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend.

    Delightful dining pub that embodies all that one might expect in a traditional Cotswold village. Open fires, flag floors and a warm, welcoming ambience. Excellent menu, well prepared and with outstanding table service. I've no realistic suggestion as to how our evening could have been improved upon.

    We had a great evening at the Angel. The welcome and ambience was excellent. Food all really good, everything cooked perfectly. Hooky beer went down well and a comprehensive wine list. Definitely will return.

    2 adults and a fur baby, We were looked after from the moment we stepped into the Angel. Two great mains, belly pork and chicken with gnocchi and mushrooms followed by a lovely treacle tart dessert which we shared. If you’re in the area a visit is a must!

    The most important factor was the warm welcome we received on the day and especially on the day before when we popped in to check the location of our table. It’s customer service that matters and customer service that people remember. The food was also fab!

    Had a lovely lunch, not too many choices on the menu which I always think is a plus. The food was great, the service was attentive without being over bearing. All in all, a lovely place to stop in Burford.

    It was our first time at The Angel having moved to Burford a couple of months ago. It's a fabulous place with great service and food. It will certainly be one of our go to places, in fact we're going back on Saturday!

    This is the second time me and my partner Car have eaten here. The food is so good. The staff friendly and the atmosphere just right. We'd highly recommend it! Best to book to be sure of a table. It's very popular, and with good reason!

    Lovely place for a family reunion between Christmas and New Year. The food was very good (my cousin and her husband run a restaurant). Lovely welcome and the fact that part of our party were late was not a problem. Will definetely recommend and we will be back!

    Roast beef Sunday lunch. Overall very tasty though the beef was rather difficult to cut through the membranes etc. Sharper knives required? We bought a portion of (extra) veg, which was a good idea. A very nice bottle of organic primitivo.

    Went to The Angel to enjoy their roast. And enjoy it we did. We enjoyed it so much we had to enjoy desert and then booked for our Christmas Eve meal too

    The pub was warm and welcoming with lovely fires going! The staff were friendly, but our drinks took a while to come as did our main course. When it did come, the plates were cold, which meant the food was only luke warm. The beef was quite tough, but tasted ok. No green vegetables which was disappointing.
