We are very close to both Union and St Andrews subway stations.
Restaurante fuera de negocio. Lo cerraron y siguen recibiendo reservas !!
I've been to Badali's several times and they have never disappointed! The staff, service and food were great. I went again on their last day, June 17th. It's too bad they will be closing. Thanks for the great food!
We have come to Badalis many times. this was our last meal there on Saturday June 16 because it is closing on Monday June 18. We both had pasta dishes over $20. We normally love them. They weren't great this time.
Our server was a doll and we wished her well at the new restaurant.
We were there on June 16th after the Jays' game. Food and service were very good, but we learned they closed June 17th (relocating further East) so we may not get there again as this was my go-to place before or after a baseball game in the past.
I quite liked this place and I'm sad that it's gone.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The pasta ail olio was great on the spicy side exactly how I like. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
You should have told me they had no patio (closed it) when I booked. I would have booked somewhere else with a patio!
Wonderful night out. Thank you.
Great start to an evening with a pre-show dinner.
Fantastic service & we were not rushed at all evn though it was a very busy dinner service and prior to a Jays game. We were able to enjoy our apps, main & desserts.
I opted for the pasta special for the main course and was happy with my choice.
Would go again & recommend to friends.
A thoroughly enjoyable meal, with good food and nice service. We had a good seat and found the place not too loud at all. I'd go back again for sure.
Excellent, too bad they are closing next month. Shall really miss them after 20+ years of going there.
We always enjoy dinner here prior to the symphony. So sorry They are closing.
Though the staff was friendly and the food great, our experience wasn't a good one since we waited 15min to be attended to after seating. Arrived at 6:07pm and didn't get our food until 6:56pm.
The only recommendation I have is that they not be in such a hurry to clear the plates. Made us feel a bit rushed. Great food! Would recommend.
Our experience at Badalis was lovely: we were greeted promptly., waiter acknowledged us right away. Food was ordered and came promptly. waiter was very pleasant and attentive.
Although trout was on the menu it wasn’t available on a Saturday night for dinner. The waiter suggested a shrimp alternative which was ok but when the bill came it was $36 for 4 shrimp and 4 beet ravioli. Not worth that cost. Also my partner wanted the veal parmigiana and couldn’t have that because it’s only available at lunch. Disappointing!
Good Selection of menu options even catering to Gluten Free and Vegetarian meals. Efficient, Friendly service. Reasonable pricing. Food was ok. Was here a few years ago and it seemed to have more selection on menu... Food quality ok...calamari had fishy taste to it...ordered a Crab/Shrimp Pasta and that was tasty...the trio of Donuts was so so...donut tasted like bread. Overall a good dining experience.
I have always liked Joe Badali's over the years . . . the ambience, the food
Saturday 12 May was no exception.
The Brick Chicken was the best chicken dish I've ever had . . . moist and delicious.
The Salmon and Shrimp Agnolotti was delicious too.
Both were over priced, especially the Agnolotti. Two adults ordered this as their main lunch dish and when it arrived it was the size of a small appetizer! Such a pity. The only thing that spoilt our visit.
Fun time- I brought a group of 11 work friends who were in Toronto for a meeting. Excellent food and ambience. Food was a bit slow but our group didn't mind. Would definitely recommend.
Waiter was very helpful and accomodating
The service was friendly and very fast. The food was good Italian style. The background music was not too loud and the atmosphere was relaxed. Just what we needed.
The menu has became me very limited and the food quality was not great. Too bad as this used to be a great place!
Perfect! Thank you
Amazing night with friends and family!! Service was amazing professional and very friendly 💯 percent enjoyed the evening
This was our second visit in recent weeks for a pre-concert dinner. We both ordered a large glass of wine and two apps. Food was excellent and portions generous. Service was friendly and prompt.
We enjoyed the food as always when we go to Badali's. However, at the long table beside us were three or four families. The parents lingered in conversation after dinner and let their children race around noisily with no attempt to control them. Definitely not a relaxing dinner.
Good food. Waiter was rushed and needed to be asked for wine and dessert menu. Felt like we were being rushed out. Otherwise good atmosphere.
Menu has changed since the last time we were there. Would like to see some the options from the old menu. Especially chicken Parmesan.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We valued our waitress' personal opinion on menu items. Food was excellent and they have a decent wine list. The cocktails were inventive and delicious! Loved the atmosphere!
Went on a hockey night. Felt a little rushed but still good
Wonderful place. Excellent food and nice servers!
We were a group of 12 and I was very positively surprised they were able to accommodate us. There was plenty of space and it wasn’t noisy- ideal for conversations in the group. Our waiter was great - made us feel welcome and was very knowledgeable on the menu. Everyone was happy with their choice. Another positive surprise was that they didn’t apply the mandatory gratuity for groups on. I was happy to leave a decent tip anyways since we were pleased with the service but the fact that it wasn’t forced was a nice touch.
Definitely recommend this for groups and will be back.
The food was good but our service was exceptional!
My husband really enjoyed the Frutti di mare. I had the mussel appetizer and it was sooooo salty. Unfortunately, I had the server give me some Parmesan cheese which didn’t help. I would have liked an option with scallops and pasta. Shrimp and calamari don’t sit well with me but I love scallops.
The burger was fabulous as were the fries- crisp real fresh cut. The service was prompt and efficient. I will definitely go back.
Great meals, 6 different meals, pastas, pizza, daily specials all enjoyed! No complaints
We often visit Badali's before attending the nearby theater. The service is generally prompt and the food is very good. It can be busy and noisy when a sporting event is scheduled in the vicinity (Toronto Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Raptors all play close by and concerts can be held at the Air Canada Center or the Rogers Dome) so if you're not attending one of these you might wish to schedule your visit for a quieter evening. If there's a nearby event, be sure to make a reservation!
Spacious, lovely, cozy interior design and decor. Very good food, felt great. Thank you!
Given the special occasion of a rare family get together, I tried focus on the positives tonight. However, I have to say that I'm very regretful for having chosen to dine here.
While it was easy to reserve a table for seven, and while there was good service, the limited/non-varied food selection, the mistakes with the order filling, and the food itself were just not good enough. Nothing I experienced justified the cost ($200+).
The ratings on the food are:
Veggie pizza- 2/5
Seafood Linguini- 3/5
Veggie soup - 3/5
Badali burger and fries - 3/5
Fish of the day: got, got the order wrong, told the waiter specifically at the very beginning of the night that we do not eat pork, and the fish came with a pork side. It took three waiters before they confirmed the order was wrong and that mystery meat was pork. We were able to cancel the order. But not after accidentally having some and effectively ruining at least one of our nights.
Overall, 2.5/5. I would not recommend the restaurant, despite that it has a nice atmosphere and ok service.
Great place to visit prior to the theatre. Good for larger groups. Went to the restaurant 2 Thursdays in a row for play night with a group of 6. Like the round table at the front window. Like that it is quiet enough to talk. Food was great. Would go again.
