   Delicious coffee and great service. Beautiful quiet place ! But poor quality coffee (and no espresso) kind of brings it down.

   Upon arrival it was evident that the server was not aware of the seating request by the fireplace area. After a brief conversation with her, and with an outstanding effort on her part, she was able to reconfigure the tables to our request. She apologized emphatically for not reading the request, as I informed her, that I phoned in the previous day to ensure the request would be doable and that the request was written on the open table forum. The service was rare standard outstanding also. Her attention to detail, initiative and communication skills were above reproach, plus her personality oozed confidence and an attractive demeaner. All this said, I gave her a 25% tip. Give this young woman a raise. Outstanding Ambassador for The Bavarian Inn.

   The ambiance was warm and inviting. Server was very pleasant but missed a few serving items like a cup for the tea, some silverware and hot (not cold) water for tea. I had the small Wiener schnitzel and the portion and vegetables were excellent - the schnitzel a bit grisly.

   Their Cordon Bleu is the best! We love coming here on a monthly basis to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays or just for a date night out. Always top notch!

   What a perfect place for Saturday brunch with friends! The food is outstanding and our lovely server absolutely delightful! An easy little drive out of Calgary.. we will do this again for sure!

   It was our 56 wedding anniversary and I booked a table to celebrate the occasion. In spite of our table not being ready when we arrived at the reservation time, the wrong meal coming to our table and no bread (they had run out and it was just 7 o’clock ) the meal itself was very good. I might have to think twice about a future reservation.

    My parents visited us from Houston and since this is my Mom's fav restaurant around Calgary we came for dinner. We had an amazing time. Excellent food and wine, as always. The ambiance is also fantastic, low piano music makes for a wonderful classy dinner. The staff was super attentive to all our needs and wants. Thank you for a lovely experience. We can't wait to be back very soon.

    My husband is originally from Calgary but moved to the US in 2005. Every time we are in town to visit his Mom in Calgary we come to this restaurant. He frequented this restaurant for years before moving. The food is always outstanding and we have always enjoyed our visits there. On this trip our server was outstanding making excellent wine and desert recommendations. We enjoyed it so much we are going back for a second visit before we head back to the US. Wish there was a restaurant like this in Maryland.

    It was great, dinner was lovely, our service was pretty good, she seemed to have every table in the place, but was doing the best she could, and she was very pleasant and cheerful It is a beautiful room, a great escape from Calgary, and the food is just really good.

    This was a first date and it was a wonderful experience. The service was just right-leaving us alone but checking in at the right moments. The food was superb. I had the kale Caesar and schnitzel-truly amazing. I could’ve done without the woman next to us watching a loud video on her phone but that was over quickly and no fault of the restaurant. I will definitely return

    Sadly our appetizer was extremely cold and had to be returned, and then it took longer than expected to get a replacement. This in turn delayed our main course delivery. We had to ask for things to be removed from the table , including menus, to make space for what was a very good meal. Sadly the lack of an experienced wait staff degraded the dining experience. The pleasantness of our ‘very green’ waitress made up for the overall poor supporting wait staff responsiveness.

    We sat on the patio and looked at the beautiful sunset thru the forest. The German food is authentic and delicious with spatzel like my mom used to make. We love this restaurant.

    Wonderful server! Food was so so... salmon tasted really bad. But they did a great job fixing it and making it up to us. Will go again.

    Nothing special, dry steak, no consideration or mention by staff or management for our anniversary dinner celebration. Dined at Italian farmhouse next day, much better food and personalized service.

    Great cocktails, excellent 5 star breaded veal and cordon bleu. Amazing place to have a nicer scale dinner in a mountain town. Also recommend staying across the street at riverside chateau! (Walking distance!) M

    I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, and the quality seems to have gone down quite a bit. My meat was chewy and the red cabbage was completely bland.

    After hiking Prairie Mountain we wanted a celebratory meal so opted for the Bavarian Inn. Our hostess recommended the schnitzel and schnitzel Cordon Bleu. Both were excellent and were washed down well with a bottle of their German Pinot Noir

    We had relatives visiting with us from the USA and they definitely enjoyed the food and surroundings. We believe the chef and staff should be complimented for making our visit so enjoyable. We have always had excellent experiences at the Inn and would recommend it to others.

    Have been here several times before. Food is generally good. Service is OK. One thing I noticed is that the servers appear somewhat "unprofessional", sort of like they had just come in off the street. it would be a good idea to have some sort of dress code for the servers to amek them appear a little more professional. Does not have to be anything fancy - black pants and a shirt perhaps provided by the establishment.

    The Bavarian was such an amazing experience. My husband and I really enjoyed our anniversary here and we will be back!! The food is authentic German which is what I was looking for. Thank you for the experience and service was fabulous.
