The service (day manager Max and our server Veronica) was excellent and the staff’s attention to detail helped make it a special and memorable family birthday celebration. Our drinks and food selections were also delicious. Thanks for a lovely evening!

It was so noisy you could hardly talk, the waiter failed to tell me how spicy my lunch would be, and never refilled our coffee. Left us alone as we were 5 elderly women with no alchol and probably poor tip[pers.

We were seated at a nice table for lunch with my husband’s mother. Our three food choices all were excellent. I chose the winter seafood salad, which was wonderful because the potato pieces and the seafood were hot. My mother-in-law’s scallop risotto was equally delicious and not starchy. My husband ordered the chowder and the ever popular dynamite roll. Both dishes were predictably good. We opted to share the molten chocolate cake dessert and and it was the perfect finale.

I would also like to add that we are hoping the upcoming renovations of the restaurant will address the noise factor. It was almost impossible to hear our own party’s conversation.

Our server Laura was so wonderfully friendly and attentive. She gave us service that was smooth and seamless, right down to refilling my hot water and gauging when we might be wanting the dessert menu or just the bill.

15 minutes for someone to first visit our table with only 4 other tables seated. 40 minutes before we had our first drinks. The staff was very friendly, but painfully slow and inattentive given how empty the restaurant was.

The staff and our waiter was most congenial from the moment we arrived. The view, even though it was raining, was superb. Sadly, as my wife began to enjoy her salad she discovered an adhesive sticker from an apple in amongst the lettuce. The waiter was apologetic and handled the arrival of a fresh alad swiftly and with further apologies. The fish in my tacos was overcooked and dry but still tasty. Our guests visiting from Ontario were pleased with their food selections and wine.

Read several recommendations for The Beach House and decided to take a taxi from downtown on a Saturday night. It is a very attractive restaurant with an attentive staff. Our table was ready for us when we arrived at 7:30 and we began with drinks. I ordered a MAker's Old Fashioned and it was excellent. My wife asked for a recommendation on a BC Chardonnay and was also pleased. We began with a half-dozen oysters. The oysters were fresh; however, one of the oysters was butchered during the chucking and was still served. For diner, my wife ordered mussels - they were nicely prepared - and I ordered scallop risotto - the scallops were slightly over cooked.

I would love to come back in the summer and sit outside and have drinks and apps.

Beach House as always delivers. Without Question, the BEST ocean front restaurant in all of Vancouver. Great ambiance. Super Staff. Good Food and the location and atmosphere are without equal. We go once a month or more often, as there isn't any other restaurant on the water with the ambiance and atmosphere Beach House Has. Staff is terrific. Again, it is NOT High End. More like the neighbourhood restaurant you can visit often. And never ever get tired of going.

We are going to miss it when it closes for renovations in early 2019 :(

Merry Christmas to All The Staff and Management and thank you again for providing years, no Decades, of fabulous dining experiences

We love it

The food was okay- rice was dried out but salmon and calamari was good. My husband had the mussels - they gave him a ladle but no bowl so not sure what he was supposed to do with that. Also just a regular fork was given not a seafood fork so it made getting the mussels meat out difficult. We did have the chilled lemon prawns for an apt- they were a bit rubbery. For dessert we had the creme brûlée- it was delicious and molten chocolate cake which was just ok

View was beautiful.

Beach House has always been hit and miss for me. It's arguably the best location in West Van, but the menu is limited, especially for vegetarians. The food that comes out is not always consistent. I was just there for 2 lunches in a row with clients (because it's the nicest ambience of all the choices in West Van. The for lunch on Monday our food all came out a different times - mine, a salad because it was the only thing on the menu I could eat, was like 7 min behind the rest of the table. I told them to eat and not to worry, but they would rather watch their food get cold than leave me out. When we ordered coffee, my colleagues latte came only 1/2 full in the big cup and my other colleague had a full cup in a small cup. The explanation made no sense. The waiter should have just immediately apologized and got another one, but he offered to top it off with water? Really??? My salad was tiny took up a 1/4 of the plate for $20. Since we were already booked for the next day we came back, but the experience was much better. Just too bad they can't be more creative and offer a higher level of service. The other Earl's restaurants seem to do it?

We went there for my wife’s birthday. Outstanding fish menu. There were good options for kids and the staff were very helpful. We had a great night and could see the Lions Gate bridge from our booth. Ambience is seaside luxury. Highly recommended for all occasions, yet to try brunch but maybe this weekend.

Booked in advance for my mother's 91 st birthday. First visit for dinner. At time of the booking I asked if we could please have a table with view and was told most certainly no problem of course..??! Asked if we could please have a special table with view for the occasion and someone visiting from Argentina. We were seated across from a wall, exit door on low level ..no view except of wall even though I had confirmed our booking in advance more than once. We were moved with some excuse only after expressing our disappointment. Moved to upper booth still no view. The only thing worth going here for was our waitress. We were so disappointed and will not return. I will stick to Mangia e Bevi where at least they truly care about their customers and the food is edible.

Our favourite casual dining spot in all of Vancouver The views and oceanside setting are the best We go at least 2x's per month and are very sad to see that it will be closing for 4 or 5 months beginning in January 2019 :( Food isn't gourmet, nor is it meant to be, but it is great casual dining. Frites are always hot and crispy, best old fashioned hamburger in Vancouver, deserts are always very good,Sushi is excellent, service is terrific and our server "Bella" is the BEST. Having a casual dinner on the patio whilst the sun sets is a 10 out of 10 Will be back more often in the next 3 months in preparation for going without our winter Beach House visits the first 4 or 5 months of 2019.

My husband and I celebrated a birthday at 3:00 pm on a Saturday. Started with oysters and main course was steak which was one of the best we have had...melted like butter. Tender, juicy, full of flavor. Excellent service and engagement by our server Matt helped us enjoy our celebration. And the view was just a bonus!

In the past few years we always enjoyed the ambience and elegant dining in a cultivated atmosphere but this time we felt like sitting in a Liverpool harbour pub with a bunch of noisy shipyard workers celebrating a soccer win of their famous FC around us. Meals and service were excellent as always but due to the incredible noise level we cut our birthday dinner short and left in a hurry.

BIG Draw back was noise level Inside restaurant (Beach House, Dundarave, B.C.) - with great work on part
of Head Waiter we got moved to outside patio. We Could then Hear one another. This Should Be addressed
when renovations take place - sound baffles or? A majority of visitors will be from West Van - a senior citizen
residential area...who love to eat out. Elders not good at shouting at one another - silence & misery descends.

Enjoyed the food & service & especially the vino - Surprise - at 50% off bottle....meant we ordered a much
higher $$ bottle. Thank you.

This dinner for four people was to celebrate a 75th Birthday. Unfortunately, the dinner for the birthday boy, was the WORST we have ever experienced at the Beach House and was extremely disappointing. The dinner ordered was recommended by the waiter as an exceptional new seafood salad with scallops, prawns etc. What was served was a plate of 'kale' with two prawns, ZERO scallops and a few potatoes. Hardly a seafood salad and since this meal was served to the man the dinner was for, it ruined the evening and NO explanation was provided by the waiter or the Chef why the dinner was SO POOR, other than deleting the charge for that meal.....

This beautifully located restaurant could be a destination for foodies. Unfortunately, it did not meet its potential. The food was served warm, not hot and two of the diners had delayed service, so the others felt uncomfortable starting to eat...therefore the food became cooler. Service was friendly, but not efficient as we had to request a couple of missing items, and had to find the server in order to get tea and coffee. All is all a disappointment when it could have been memorable.
