Out for my birthday celebration with a friend. Other people that were seated after us were served well before us. We had to pour our wine, the waiter didn't come to check if meal was fine or pour the wine. We had said it was a birthday celebration three times at least. There was no birthday celebration dessert offered. The waiter brought the bill and simply said happy birthday. My steak was very good but my friend found a hair in her pasta dish although she didn't complain because there was minimal contact with waiter. I'm hoping that the management will teach what it means to be a server/waiter.
Thank you so much for being so accommodating and helping to make our day special! We really appreciate it!
Horrible customer service.
They forgot to assign a waiter to us . Basically got no service. Not even an apology.
We all enjoyed ourselves. It made for a lovely birthday get together.
Terrible server. She brought the scallops and prawns after our dinners were finished. She vanished
Through the meal. We shar ed linguine for two and if there was a quarter cup each that would be a lie
No parm offered. No pepper. Terrible princess attitude. Our guests from Maui were not impressed
Overall a very lovely experience. The restaurant wasn’t busy so noise levels and views were good! Atmosphere was casual, albeit furnishings are a little dated.
Service was very attentive without being over the top. Food was great - I had oysters and tuna poke bowl, while others had lobster brioche with soup side. The chowder soup was very good. Our vegan ate avocado toast!
Could do with vegan / vegetarian options. We were 3 people with 1 being vegan and there wasn’t really anything for him to eat.
The service was exceptionally slow. We went for brunch and they were extremely slow to take orders and to serve them. Coffee refill was just another problem we had. The avocado toast was tasty; the ham benny was not smelling and tasting good. Thankfully they didn’t charge 18% gratuity on our bill so we could decide how to reflect our experience.
The sablefish dressing was a bit on the sweet side, and the sauce was way too salty. Ask if they changed the sauce recipe before you order.
The Beach House is a great place to go.
We ordered a few starters for 3 people to share. Portion was adequate and food was tasty. However, our lunch would have been excellent if the server was more attentive.
We had a very good server. The noise level was our only disappointment. A very rowdy group was behind us.
A lovely lunch before a flight to Europe. Relaxing, great views. As always good food and service
Great service and enjoyable food as always ...
What could be better than scrumptious wine, delicious food and great view? The service was probably the best we’ve ever had. The sablefish was perfection. The crème brûlée was outstanding. This is all going to cost you but it was worth every penny to us.
Welcoming greeting.Patio seating was perfect.Service very good.. Ahi salad great..L.
A beautiful setting great food what else could be better
Great service, very friendly, good food. Lovely property.
Friends in town
Excellent food, great location right on the beach with amazing views
went for 25th anniversary. They did give us a window seat (requested in reservation notes). My mussels were very good, husband's halibut was overcooked/dry/disappointing. Waitress forgot that she had already taken our entree order, and came back to do so - that left us a little unsure of what we'd be getting for an entree, but we were glad both came out as ordered. At the end, after we paid our bill, she asked us a few questions, and we said it was our 25th wedding anniversary. She said we should have told them in our reservation - I answered that we did indeed (it asks if it is a special occasion.) She said that no one shared that with her, and apologized. She offered us complimentary dessert, but we had already settled the bill, and were ready to head out. I would say this is a good place to go for a drink at the bar/happy hour, or a casual lunch or dinner, but I regret the choice for that kind of an evening. We had never been there before, and didn't really know what to expect. I need to do my homework in the future! The view was lovely.
Food and service always excellent. We were so well looked after by a fantastic server. A great anniversary evening!
The patio at this location is ideal for those sunny summer days
Food was good. Service was efficient but atmosphere was awful. No one smiled. No pleasantries were exchanged. No mention was made of our special occasion although it was noted at the time of booking. A week after making our reservation, we were asked by the restaurant to change the day of our booking to accommodate a special event at the restaurant. We did so even though it did not work as well for us. However, there was no acknowledgement by the restaurant staff. Overall, we felt "processed". Not a pleasant experience especially for the price.
I recently had a birthday dinner for my girlfriend there. 6 ppl total.
I reserved a table through their website a week ahead and asked for an inside window seat overlooking the water (inside as they don’t take reservations on the patio) which was very easy and when we got there we had a fantastic table.
The server was very friendly and quick to offer water and take drink orders. Drinks and cocktails are a bit on the expensive side compared to other places but it’s probably common for the area.
Food was really good and fairly priced for what you get. It arrived quickly and everyone was happy with their orders. The only thing was that two people at our table ordered lobster tails and the waitress came back and said the kitchen only had 1 left. This was roughly 7pm on a Saturday so not sure what to make of that.
After dinner I (secretly) asked our waitress to have a dessert (Creme Brule) arrive with a birthday candle. It wasn’t a problem and this little request absolutely completed the meal. And the Creme Brule was delicious too.
This was my first time coming here and I would defiantly come back again. I would recommend the Beachhouse to anyone who wants a solid meal with a great atmosphere and some amazing views.

Way over-valued for what you get! Won’t be going back anytime soon!
The happy hour is good for $10 for the avocado brunch, however, the portion is super small. We wait for 45 minutes for the food to be served. The waterfront patio is only available on first come first served basis .
Had a great brunch and food was excellent. Did not experience anything negative I read online. Always best to make your own opinion. Will be back when in town.
The view is incredible. Busy restaurant with good service
I tried to get a reservation for 6:30, but there were none. At 6:30 however, there were many empty tables. When we were placed at a 36" square table by the door, we asked to move to an empty table we liked. Waitress said it was booked (not) and we were sent to a booth which was ok, but not our preference.
Two of us ordered lobster rolls. I think there may have been 1 tablespoon of lobster on the bun. We thought it was a ripoff.
We had a fabulous afternoon at the Beach House on the patio ... the food was great, drinks were wonderful, and Lucy is awesome, she was out server. Thank you Lucy ...
Blake was our server and he was outstanding. Attention to detail, courteous and polite, and very apologetic when our food order was delayed and not cooked correctly. He generously replaced and comped the entrees for us which we were dissatisfied with. The great service from Blake made up for any disappointment we felt towards the food.
The service was extremely slow with lack of items once ordered, such as water, coffee, glass of wine. Food wasn't hot. The restaurant seemed short-staff and the staff present was friendly, kind but only mildly engaging. I've been to the Beach House several time over the past 5 years and in that time service and food quality has decreased. The bar service is a bit better
Server was lovely but could use a little more polish in table service.
Clearing plate etiquette, pouring, reaching etc. He more than made up for it with kindness and enthusiasm. Just a few pointers would help him a lot.
The tuna poke and dynamite rolls are great and the staff are usually upbeat and courteous. After dining, a walk along the sea wall is only steps away!!
I brought out of town guests to the beach house. They loved it. Both the food and view were exceptional.
Forget how very lovely this restaurant is, especially with a waterfront view. Must be early though to catch a seat! Reservations do not ensure al fresco dining!
Food was very creative: My daughter had some wonton tacos, looked yummy. My avocado & tuna salad was excellent. However, when ordering as the chef to take a lighter hand with the salt shaker. I love salt. However, this was way over-salted!
Very nice evening with friends! We sat on the patio, by the window, and had a beautiful view of the city and the ocean!!!! The food looked great and was delicious for every one in our party, having said that, being a vegetarian I found few options for my self. Ordered the Beach House salad which was tasty but mostly lettuce.... the description says it includes Okanagan goat cheese, apples, candied pecans - mine had very little goat cheese or candied pecans and no apples at all. The patio is very nice, although it needs tilting umbrellas or some kind of shade for when the sun starts to go down.
Maybe its because I chose the fireworks day, but everything seemed slow and the food was mediocre
Came in to celebrate the Engagement to my fiance. The staff were great and our food was really good. Loved the view and we could see the fireworks which was excellent. We would definitely recommend and we will be back sometime soon.
