The Beach House
Beach House’s food and drink menus take inspiration from all along the West Coast. Our rotating seafood-centric menu brings fresh, bright flavours and the most in-season local ingredients to the forefront of each dish. Taking particular influence from tours around Southern California, Culinary Development chefs David Wong and Hamid Salimian have thoughtfully blended West Coast dishes with the region’s prominent cultural cuisines. Together with our new extensive martini menu and a reinvigorated wine list that includes all of your favourites – plus an introduction to undiscovered gems – Beach House offers a West Coast experience that’s unlike any other.
I am a regular customer. Took friend for lunch today. First for her. She had the dockside burger ( my fave). I ordered the lobster roll. SO SO SMALL. Hardly any lobster in it at all. Did tell 3 staff members. No comp offered at all :/. That was very disappointing. This place has THE best patio and view . It’s too bad. Usually 5 ⭐️. Reno’s are fabulous!
Came for our anniversary and was not to disappoint the lady. Daniel at the front desk was amazing and welcoming right away and we were sat early for our reservation. Service was prompt and the food was delicious as usual. First time back since the re-opening and was not to disappoint!! Would come back and definitely recommend to friends and family
I had been wanting to visit the beach house for awhile and decided to have an anniversary supper there, poor choice We both ordered Filet and Lobster medium rare the steak came way over cooked almost well done and the lobster was raw in the center every thing was way to salty almost to the point of not being able to eat it. It is hard to complain at the time because I did not want to ruin the special evening we will not return.
Excellent service and ambience. Both the salad with the honey horseradish dressing and the vegetarian pasta were exceptional.
30th anniversary dinner was simply fabulous!
Long term Patrons of the Beach House - Over 50 years from Peppi's in the 60's to Now. Renovation is good and the staff is fabulous. Food is good. Not Great - Location and Ambiance is " the Best". We will return. Need to upgrade the non alcohol beer to Clausthaler or Wersteiner. Prohibition is Crap - Also need to look at Joey's Menu and add some more fun stuff to their menu's. The happy hour is way way too limited. Plus cocktails. Somewhat disappointed in the new Beachhouse, but love the location and are loyal 50 year patrons. And will continue to return Ralph&Barb Scobie
Very disappointing brunch. Wonderful location & a stunning view on a sunny day.
Service was not great, server was lovely, but service very slow. We had a reservation at 12.15pm, brunch did not arrive until 1.30pm.
Flatbread had way too much chili & not enough lobster. English breakfast toast was way too crunchy, mushroom a little dry.
Wouldn’t go back for brunch and would have to think twice about trying another meal.
Very good but still a little too noisy. Can be difficult to hear conversation.
Great variety of food and appetizers
Food was delicious and perfect portions
Other than the volume of voices we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Beach House since the renovations. I understand noise volume is being worked on.
Thank you for a wonderful visit.
Great location and good service. Menu is limited and fairly expensive. They have recently installed some sound absorbers and noise level is now much better.
Service and food were good. The acoustics were way too loud and it was so difficult to hear people talk at our table
We had two sandwiches with fries. Fries were horrible. Not really hot and below standard for that type of restaurant. They were like McCain shoe string fries I’d serve kids. Check out the fries at Cactus Club for inspiration! Seriously!
The view was outstanding, and the service was excellent. However, the lunch menu was limited, and the food itself, when it came, was good but nothing special. We were seated next to a door to the patio which the staff kept opening, letting in a blast of cold air - the management might want to rethink having a table so close to the door. Although the manager came over and apologized for the door situation, nothing was done to change it. Also, the noise level was high. This seems to be thing with restaurants these days, but really, it does nothing to add to a relaxing dining experience.
The manager and our waiter, Mustapha, were both very attentive, informative and extremely professional. The food was very good.
First time back since the Reno. I was really looking forward to sharing this beautiful venu with my friend from the interior. The place looks great but the food was VERY disappointing!
We use to have great appies and food at the Beach House.....what happens??
Sorry, I will not be back.
Have been to the Beach House many times and always enjoyed it. Today the food was just marginal for 2/3 of us and we felt the meal was overpriced. VERY NOISY. Super disappointed.
Great! Food was excellent and server very good, friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere as it was not too busy. Excellent view.
Very good lunch food which we had but for dinner would like a larger menu.
Food was delicious! Loved the big, new windows from the renovation. We’ll be back on the next sunny day for happy hour!
Nice place, good view, good service. The food is pretty much what you would expect from such a place (no surprises, good or bad) but it is well prepared and presented.
Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The staff was so welcoming, excellent service, food and wine was delicious, beautiful space and the view is gorgeous.
Nice the Beach House is open again after Reno. Noise level is down thanks to new sound absorption panels strategically placed. Had the old favourite Lobster Roll again and while their in house bakery bun (just like east coast) was great, the lobster stuffing lacked something. Good but not their usual great. Seafood bisque soup was really well done. Will have to go back and try again. Overall still really good.
Great Place for a Nice Dinner and Walk on the Beach Afterwards!
the smoked sable fish chowder was amazing. Now all they need to do is bring back the Sushi Cones
Some items are too large.
Maybe two prices, one for full servings, one for half.
A little noisy, but you do have a bar.
New decor, definitely New England.
Love the reno and new menu. Salmon collar was rich and divine.
There is definitely no better setting than the Beach House. Nestled on the beach with unobstructed views of the harbour and bridge it is "sadly" unique to West Vancouver. We need more restaurants with a similar type of setting as this one. The food at the Beach House was good, but very expensive. The wine prices are atrocious and for the total cost of the meal, white table cloths would be a simple yet elegant touch that would help justify the prices.
I would certainly mention the noise level as high and the food not describing as exceptional
A fine renovation has created a modern but warm place to dine by the sea. The menu is excellent and the service excels. Great value and highly recommended.

Bottom line don’t go upstairs! Birthday brunch outing with grandmother. They seated us upstairs which was a big problem for the grandmother who has challenges walking. The elevator has to be manned by a staff member so leaving required me to hunt down a staff person. The upstairs is also set for events so it was a plastic table, not the boathouse experience we wanted and paid for. Also it was freezing and the waitresses opened all the windows and would not close them.
We arrived for our 7:00 reservation and were told that the people at the table they had for us were having coffee. At 7:15 we asked again and they said they would ask them to leave. We were finally seated at 7:30. By 8:30 we had seen our server only once, to order cocktails. We finally ordered our food after asking the manager. Our food came out after another lengthy wait, and it was not acceptable. Halibut special ($38) overcooked and dry. Steak Frite overcooked, Burger cold... just absolutely terrible. I will not be going back and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Good way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends
Location is outstanding
Service was great
Limited happy hour menu it’s all good

When I ordered pinto gresio i did not expect it to be so expensive after I asked about the house white.

We hope to see you back again soon! Kind Regards, Ellen Barbour General Manager Beach House firstname.lastname@example.org
my husband and I went for lunch the week before and it was fabulous. We took my in-laws to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and it was good but not as good as the week before. We were seated on the lower level and many people were on the patio so the door was opened a lot, which was gave us a very cool breeze every time. Some just stood with the door open talking, making us very chilly. Food was good, not great this time. Maybe because it was a busy Friday afternoon. I mentioned when I made my reservation that this was a birthday celebration an I thought it would at least be mentioned but it wasn't. Will we go back, absolutely, just not as quickly as before
Wonderful food and ambience but still working out the service quirks.
Love the new renovation! bright and beautiful with fantastic views and food!
Service was as good as the view. Great burger, very nice room.
