The Beltliner, named for the old streetcar that ran down 12th ave in the early part of the last century, is a modern and casual interpretation of the classic diner.

We offer a menu crafted with local, seasonal, artisanal and handmade ingredients.

Our goal is to continually offer the freshest, most innovative, playful takes on diner fare in a fun and approachable setting. We take those classic diner staples you would expect and elevate them with great produce and modern techniques. Serious cooking while not taking ourselves too seriously.

Having a lunch with friends and 4 little babies, service was great! Very accommodating to seat us in the corner table and making sure we were all comfortable and settled in. Kevin went out of his way multiple times to make sure we taken care of and it did not go unnoticed! Food was delicious, iced coffee and caesers were a huge hit as well!

Food was over cooked, it seemed to have been left on warmers too long. Ordered a breakfast poutine and sauce was clumpy and ordered egg poached soft, it came out hard.

Server was very friendly, food was delicious but a little pricy for something that is a staple brunch menu item (over $20 for eggs Benny). The chairs for the raised 8 person table top were not comfortable with small seating area and small lower back support. As a plus size person, they were a low point for sure. Otherwise, love the food, the ambience, and build your own Caesar option!

Kevin was a fabulous host. He kept our coffees full, made sure our guest with celiac was cared for, and got our food to us in a timely fashion. Strongly recommend!

The menu is very skinny for someone having an egg allergy. I ordered the breakfast poutine w/o the egg and hollandaise and that’s exactly as it came. First, it didn’t look like any poutine that I’ve ever had. Wedge fries do not make a good poutine and the cheese curds looked like it was simply melted cheese. In retrospect I would have expected the hollandaise to have been substituted with a gravy. All in all, a very uninspired and not an enjoyable meal.

Several issues with food and the restaurant only had 4 tables being weighted on during this time. Burgers were sent back twice for being burnt. Other food didn't arrive and when asked, it arrived under-cooked. Salad had a beard hair at the bottom. Chef had a beard 🤨. Won't be returning.

As breakfasts go…myeh. No better than the uninspired fare of a truck atop cafe. The menu is a yawner. My classic eggs benny was bland. Eggs overcooked, hollandaise lacked flavour, taters were dried out. I had heard it was good. Not so much. Server was good.

Service was great as always. Was very sad to hear you got rid of the homemade jam. That was one of the reasons we came to the belt liner. I was very much looking forward to it and buying another jar. I even bragged to an out of town guest about your jam, only to get there and get the Kraft packets

The soup was very salty, the salad dressing was very fishy and the server (although it was his first day and I have sympathy for that) forgot to come back to take our order.

Food and service were outstanding. Food was delivered quickly and as expected. Waiter went out of his way to help with ideas and even provided a little container of their homemade jam for my mother in law to take home.

Food was really good, abit pricey. Service staff were not very attentive, coffee should be filled before it’s done, in my opinion.
