   We loved our experience at the Bison! Our server Kyle was lovely and gregarious. The food was spectacular (we shared the octopus appetizer, I had the duck, my company had the braised bison with dumplings). Considering the quality, it's well worth the price point.

   The food was absolutely spectacular. One of the only restaurants we have ever tipped the kitchen directly in addition to the wait staff. Highly recommend going for anyone visiting Banff, and recommend reservations as they fill up quickly.

   Bison meat is the star of their menu and they have found ways to creatively express bison with other more familiar favorites bringing a unique and complex flavor profile to otherwise familiar dishes.

   The short ribs were great, but the kids menu was dull, especially the kids pasta, no optionforsauce, and extremely small even for a kids item. But most surprising, no bison burgers?

   A. Great place with buzz. However se river had a robotic delivery. Didn’t matter. Foo d v good. My wife’s cocktail particulately good and my beer ditto. Slightly too nois y but view out side good. Probably more expensive than I expected but as a one off in a fortnight’s holiday acceptable.

    Food, ambiance and service … the Best! We had the bison ribs, braised beef dumplings, beets salad, dessert chocolate tart and mango sorbet. Local Pinot gris and the Blasted church Viognier fruity light lovely! Chris, our serveur super helpful, professional, informative.

    Excellent meal and service. Busy restaurant but would not know as service was very professional. Food & wine were first class. Our only observation is that coming from England that Apple Pie should be served hot, not cold. Maybe something to look at.

    I was disappointed that the Bison Ribeye was off the menu. Also, my 12oz steak was very tough at medium rare, served with no veggies and a ton of potatoes. The Octopus was delicious and worth a redo!

    The service was excellent. I had heard amazing things about this restaurant but the quality of the food was good, but not outstanding. I think I had high expectations. The wine was really good and the sorbet was delicious.

    Food and service were great. Our waiter Kevin was excellent. My daughter was joining us as a surprise to my wife and her trip was delayed from Calgary and Kevin made sure not to rush so it worked out great.

    Overall the meal was great. I went last year for my birthday and enjoyed it so much I booked the reservation for my 40th. I was a little turned off after the meal. On the bill I was charged $4 for a piece of pita for my babaghanouj starter that came with one small pita. I ate the dip very generously on the pita and still only had half the dip. I don’t feel that $17 dish was sufficient for one piece of pita. But then to charge $4 for another just rubbed me the wrong way. As a former fine dining chef I just feel the composition of the dish wasn’t quite fully sussed out.

    Steak was so salty it was almost inedible. Portion sizes were small and menu selection was lacking and descriptions were unclear. Would not recommend.

    Amazing bartenders and cocktail menu. Equal pets knowledge of food, drink, and local provisions. Ate at the bar which had great atmosphere. Live music huge plus. Definitely recommend.
