The ambiance was beautiful and festive, the food (we had steaks) was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Laurie our server was excellent, attentive but not pushy. Overall one of the best fine dining experiences we have had in quite a long time. Would highly recommend.

Was disappointed that thanksgiving was only a buffet and there was no alternative - we had not been told that at booking and were extremely surprised to have to pay $75/head for a meal we didn’t want

Went for Thanksgiving, arrived early and waited outside on the deck overlooking the lake and sat in chairs by the fire pits. For our meal, we requested and got a lovely table by the window overlooking the lake and mountains. Our sever James was outstanding, he stopped by and checked on us throughout and didn’t rush us. Great variety in food choices and delicious. Well done! Looking forward to returning.

I have for the last 10+ years always looked upon the Boat Club as a reliable place for good food and good value. No longer. The quality of the food is less than it used to be and the prices are significantly higher. Very disappointed in the formerly reliable restaurant.

The food was absolutely terrible. The sea bass was watery and bland and The duck was gamey and chewy. The drinks were good but for a $200 dinner, I wouldn’t ever recommend this restaurant.

We used to love coming to this restaurant but last night it took way longer for our drinks- an hour before we were served bread appetizer we ordered and longer for our calamari- then our salads / food arrived before we were done with our appetizer- not our waitresses fault- apparently short staffed in the kitchen- wondering why they accept more reservations than they can reasonably accommodate for. I’m NOT looking for instant service at all but we were literally seated and ordered drinks/appetizers and waited 45 mins for drinks (beer, wine and 1 mixed drink) and still waited until we were seated over an hour and had t received appetizers. My husband finally got up to make sure they didn’t forget our order. Food when it arrived was good but we were there way longer than we expected- so so value overall. Will choose another restaurant in the future.

Food was great! Service wasn’t as good. Our server seemed to be annoyed when we asked for a bar menu instead of the main menu. Instead of offering us to sit in the bar he told us we couldn’t order from that menu. We had picky teenagers with us who didn’t want anything off of the menu and he seemed annoyed by that as well. Not only that, but our food food an hour to get out even though they were slow. Never refilled the kids drinks either. Will not be coming back

We went to the Boat Club primarily because well..it was one of the few restaurants still open this time of year. It boasts a nice view of Whitefish Lake and it was nice to see the boats crossing to and fro, perhaps on the last voyage of the year as the crisp fall weather succumbs to winter’s cold grasp. My wife, wearing nicely fitted jeans and a black top, was the perfect dining partner and the natural light framed her photogenic face perfectly. Glancing across the room, I couldn’t help but wonder what the average snowfall was in Whitefish. As usual, my wife came to the rescue and reminded me that it snows about 73" annually in Whitefish. That is a lot of snowfall. I imagine the old timey settlers were probably like “man this sucks” but nevertheless the snow came, claiming victim after victim that year. My Boat Club menu choice reminded me of this feeling as I bit into my king salmon, flavored by hope and anticipation but not much else. I would say it was like medium good but not the best ever. But I like king salmon so down the gullet it went. My wife, less impressed by the menu than I, chose a plate full of multicolored fungus. and when I say multicolored I mean the sauce was a shade of radioactive green that I believe was the herb oil. I will admit she is a bit persnickety but she was very nonplussed and ate half of it, foisting the remainder on yours truly. “No thanks, fam” I exclaimed as I pushed it away, a dour expression spreading across my face. We shrugged the meal off and remain married to this day, forged by the fire of surviving this meal together.

One server for the entire DR was not enough actually received our first course b/f our drinks arrived. Had to ask for the complimentary drink. Sad about the experience.

We had a really great meal - perfectly cooked wagyu steak and pork mole. Appetizer of calamari was tender, lightly breaded, and with a tasty lemony dipping sauce. Our server was really nice, very professional, and timely. This was a staycation for us, so we'll be back soon!

On of the best meals we had in a very long time. Our waitress did an exceptional job the were short handed and and she did the work of 3 people. Highly recommend .

Beautiful, rustic resort. The Boathouse bar was great, wonderful cocktails and bartenders. Jean was a great waitress, food was outstanding. Lovely view from the dining rom. Great entertainment in the lounge.

Beautiful setting. Bartender and drinks were excellent although they were out of Caymus. Food was phenomenal! We showed up early for our reservation and although the restaurant was not full, they did not seat us even one minute early, we then waited 10 min before our server even greeted us. Service was very slow and every table seated after us got their food first. Hoping that was a rare incident with service, otherwise everything was fantastic. Would definitely go again. Bar service was on point. We’d probably sit there with Joey to eat next time

The menu changed dramatically from the last time we were there. So much so there were few er items I was able to eat due to diet restrictions. Sometime simpler ingredients are better but the whole menu is very “fancy”. Butter and sweet sauces seem to make the dishes more than the main ingredients. We love the ambiance and the service is always wonderful. I wish the food , although tasty and delicious, included some simpler choices.

We were looking forward to eating here to celebrate our anniversary. The expectation that this is a fine dining restaurant with prices that match. When seated we ordered drinks and an appetizer. Drinks came….no appetizer. We waited 20 minutes after drinks served and flagged the waitress who took a second drink order, our salad and entree order. We received the second drinks and no appetizer. The waitress was cavalier about the situation while trashing the management. The manager came over and apologized saying the kitchen was backed up (other tables were being served promptly) and finally appetizer and salads came together. The Caesar salad was very warm so assume it was sitting under the hot lights for a time. The waitress came back and took my husbands glass of wine (even though he drank 1/3 of it) and said she served him the wrong one and gave him another glass. Waited another 20 to 30 minutes and finally received our meal. My husband ordered the Filet ($70) and it was chewy (tendon running through it) and half of it was raw and warm, not hot. The manager apologized again and offered dessert but by then we had enough. The manager did comp our dinner (which was not our intent). He later came to our room with a bottle of champagne. This dinner was such a disappointment when we planned it for such a special occasion. There are too many choices of fine dining restaurants in the area for less money and much better food and service.

Service was choppy. After 4 wine requests finally a bottle was found. Food (Steak) was not good. Dessert was offered before we were finished dining. Obviously this server was new and not trained well. Property did not earn its 5 star rating for the Boat Club Restuarant. 3 of us dined that evening. Waited forever for drinks. Overall disappointing. The $64 steak fillet was charred, overcooked and tasted like charcoal. Service was mediocre. Did not expect a fine dinning establishment to have flies landing on the food while dinning. Overpriced for what you get.

We are long time customers of the Boat Club and The Lodge, though we cannot enjoy it as often as we would like. We brought guests from the east coast and we were all treated beautifully. We are amazed that you are able to continue pulling off such great service and wonderful culinary delights through such challenging times. Bravo to all.

Although the dinner menu is fairly limited, the food was excellent - well prepared and presented - and the service was great. Our server was attentive when needed, but did not rush us through dinner. Very nice view of the lake from the dining room. We would definitely go back when in the area.

We had a lovely evening. The service was fantastic. The food was excellent too. We are glad we picked this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. They gave us a window seat, so we had a beautiful view of the lake. We would definitely go there again.

We ordrers our 1st drinks and appetizers together. Our appetizers arrive 35 minutes later, Our second order of drinks at the same time. We receiver the Kain course 30 minutes later. They compt the dessert It was a pretty ugly experience It was all the kitchen’s fault,

It took an hour and 40 minutes for our food to be served. Our server was really good. Not her fault. One of the steaks was under cooked and had to be sent back. They did comp that dinner and server gave us a free dessert. Food was ok. The location is beautiful for the sunset.

Our server Lori was beyond friendly & accommodating! She actually took a photo of our group at sunset which was very much appreciated. I will say, the steaks were tasty but way over-salted. The menu was sparse as well. I left a treasured shrug shawl over the back of my chair & returned the next day to retrieve & the restaurant sent me to the front desk & no one turned it in. They could have cared less…sad. I dont like leaving bad reviews because Lori was a true gem!
