Want to eat at a gorgeous location? The Kits Boathouse has one of the best views of any restaurant in the Lower Mainland! And....the service was good, the food was great! I enjoyed lunch and the seafood linguine arrived piping hot with an array of perfectly prepared clams, shrimp and fish pieces. Highly recommended!!

If you got good value for the food I would recommend, it, but that was not the case. Was expensive for the amount of food you got. The Coconut Cod was delicious but not filling enough.

Cannot beat the view from the patio here on a gorgeous Vancouver day! Our server Lois was terrific and I would say the food was good given some leeway for Covid times. My garden salad was quite plain with some shredded carrot and cucumber pieces, accompanied by a small bowl of slightly bland, but very thick chowder. The other meal my friend had was the eggs benny which was apparently, quite good. Coffee on the bland side as well and we skipped dessert.
Definitely a great view but probably better food options on the menu to try.

For a place that is all about the view, you would think the windows would be cleaner. Service was awesome food & drinks were great.

Food was good and server excellent; however table was sticky and needed some cleaning. General “feel” of restaurant was that it just needs some cleaning of windows and tables etc.

It was nice to come back to one of our favourites. It was the best it can be during these strange times. We were placed in the hot sun and sweat through our dinner for 20 minutes, before the server finally closed the blinds. Other than that, it was pretty good.

I think at 1pm, it was busier & all tables along the windows were full, so I don’t think there was social distancing there. Food was good but I noticed the hostess did not enclose the happy hour menu. We had to ask the server for that, who was surprised it was happy hour 🤦🏻‍♀️. It’s on their website 12-4 happy hour! I also have been here just a few days earlier! My friends who are visiting we’re not aware.

I applaud the Boathouse for doing the best they can given the circumstances. I understand that they've paired down their menu to manage the unpredictable nature of business at this time. However, I was very disappointed with their caesar salad. This should be a simple enough item to get right. It was terrible and a rip off. Otherwise, a good experience.

The server added 5% more of a tip than what I had specified. Not only was the dining room hot, but we also encountered some resistance with switching tables despite a near empty room. The bread appeared stale as well.

Hostess & server was very nice! coconut shrimp was delicious!!! ahi tuna tacos were too plain - needs more flavor. It was lovely to sit inside to watch the beach. We were there after 3pm & it was quiet & relaxing! Great place to catch up with friends!!!

Service was lacking , was not friendly . Been going to Boathouse since opening . Richmond boathouse was better service . Top service now is the 1) Keg for service , value & food & White Spot ( anytime of day ) 2) Cactus Club & Earl’s .

Purchased the landrys VIP club promotion based on our waiter Robert's lies. Was told that $30 was refunded to card on first use - it's only$25. Told our meal would be put towards our first refund upon spending $250 - it was not.

Windows would not open in the section where we were seated - it was like an oven. Sweated throughout the meal - asked to be moved. Request denied.

Sat before the party next to us they were allowed to order first and were served first.

Very disappointing - a mediocre dining experience for a premium dining price. My daughter ordered a plain burger with Ketchup & fries - $ 19.99.

So sad that the Boathouse has turned into the rip off house.

food and view were exceptional. however, windows overlooking the beach were very dirty and roller shades broken so could not be brought down to block out the hot sun.

Our lovely server and service was fantastic. The food was quite bland and the Caesar salad was pretty gross. But the drinks and the seafood platter and the burger were good. Great atmosphere, not so great food.

I added chicken to the caesar salad and the chicken was disappointing. Little flavour. Not grilled. Thin slices. Too expensive for what I received.

Beautiful location and amazing view. The place was almost empty! I guess everyone knows the food is subpar and there are no unsuspecting tourists to fill it up.

Had the steak and lobster special at the boathouse. Nice vibes, especially on the waterfront looking out onto the beach. Was a date night so we both enjoyed our time! Service was great and they accommodated to all our needs.

Great service and food. Sat on the patio. No umbrellas as they thought they would be touch points for Covid as people moved them around. I like the sun so not an issue for me. Could put up signs on umbrellas that would keep guests from moving them.

Everything at the Boathouse restaurant was excellent. The ambience, service and food were excellent. I would have rated everything 5 stars if it were not for the early bird specials ending at 4 and there being no reservations available after 4PM even though the restaurant was 75% empty even at 5:30. Many tables not blocked for COVID were empty. I think this latter point was a bit silly am not sure of the reason.

First time ever, when I reserved a table at an restaurant for a birthday, no question was asked who is the birthday person and offer congratulations. So we kept quiet and filed the experience away. Covid new normal?

Sad day
I have been going to the boat house for a decade
Things have definitely changed
Service took sooooo long
Food portions were so tiny
The bottom line I payed $260 for 4 people
We all had 2 flat Pepsi’s each at $4 x 8 $32 bucks Plus tax
2 people had Lobster tail the size was an inch and a half maximum
Steak small with cold tasteless mashed potatoes
The other 2 Had fish and chips ...not much fish in the greasy fat batter
All in all sad day😢

While the service reasonable, the quality of food has gone down. We received under cooked, half raw fish, after asking that it be cooked through. The replacement fish and chips was thoroughly cooked, but over battered with barely three or four mouthful of fish from the 3 pieces served. Having been to this location a number of times over the past couple of years, needless to say we were very disappointed. We will not return.

This restaurant needs a complete overhaul. Sadly, it is a restaurant that is relying completely on its location and view. I would not go back until I was aware of changes.
