    Mom’s 85 birthday. She and the rest of us are bit picky and want things just so. Well our Server -Rosey was up to the task. Great employee. I wish I could clone her and get her to come work for me. Mom grabbed my hand after diner and said that was Great! Best birthday meal ever.

    Our waitress was fantastic - very good. But when we arrived the restaurant was EMPTY literally 1 table and yet the food order which was 3 eggs dishes took over 30 minutes to be ready - even the french toast for my child took that long. there was a clear evidence of lack of staff in the FOH as the waitress was handling all tables by herself whilst 2 other staff were just chitchatting in the corner... a bit strange. was the food OK? yeah - I guess it was fine. would I come back there? No I wouldnt... they need to step up.

    We are from out of the area and chose the Boathouse based on a recommendation from friends. We were staying on the other side of Vancouver so it was some work and logistics to get there and we were excited to have a great dining experience. While it is an exceptional location we didn’t find it to be the ‘experience’ we thought it would be. The food was just ok, and so the whole experience was sort of forgettable. The service was transactional and not personal. May or may not recommend it to others.

    We had family visiting and we could not have been happier with the food and service. Mary is a gem, she is warm and attentive. She even remembered my husbands food order from our last visit. We love going to the boathouse! Food was great too!

    My server wasn’t very attentive to me, I had to repeatedly look for her snd get her attention. I’ve been having her as my server lately, I had to wait for her to refill my water, bring me my bill, wait for my birthday cake to be packaged, ask for a bag. The hostess? Was very attentive. I don’t like how the food has changed and the prices are most expensive. The seafood chop salad salmon was underdone snd cold, it used to be grilled, the prawns were cold, I didn’t like the salad dressing or the olives , the snap peas were too big, they were just cut in half and the ends weren’t trimmed.

    After sitting down on the enclosed, heated outside patio, we elected to move inside because of the cool fall breeze and smell of natural gas. Dinner and service were great! The coconut cod dish was very good.

    Our server - Heather, was awesome! She was very patient with our delayed ordering and allowed us to enjoy our conversation over a few libations prior to taking food orders. We weren’t rushed the slightest - which was fantastic! Great location and atmosphere!!

    Our brunch was yummy. My friend had the crab and shrimp omelette and enjoyed it. I ordered the Classic eggs Benny and got a trio instead. Although it was not what I ordered it was good. It was quite a long time after our food arrived before the server checked in … which is why I decided to just eat what was brought. Service was very slow and minimal. It took a very long time for our server to come to the table and she seemed shocked that we were ready to order. It would have been nice to order beverages within 5-10 minutes of sitting down.

    I was in Vancouver on vacation and received a recommendation to eat at this restaurant. Therefore was happy when able to book a reservation for 2 on OpenTable. When we got there, the restaurant wasn’t open and then we struggled to find a good restaurant to eat at. Why does OpenTable allow people to make reservations when the restaurant isn’t open??? Very disappointed with this service.

    The turkey could be more tenderer. My wife and children all had different seafood dinners and they said it was great. My parents and I had the turkey and we all found the white meat was a bite too well done. The mashed potato was a smash as well as the stuffing. Ambient was wonderful and relaxing and our waitress was great. Wonderful thanksgiving family gathering.

    We had a great time at the Boathouse. We had an excellent table overlooking Kitsilano beach and the water. The mussels and oysters were tasty and our entree’s were good.

    The location of the restaurant is fabulous and the views are spectacular. I met some friends for lunch and the servers were helpful and attentive. Food was very good, and the quantities were ample. A great experience all around!
