Good food and a great view. Lower prices would mean more frequent visits (sigh).

Great place to visit with others as it wasn’t too loud. Food was very good. Only thing we would’ve changed was to go during the day so we could experience the view of the beach.

Our waitress was great and very attentive. The eggs Benny trio was super.
I had asked for a window table in my special request. Although there were some available, we did not get one.

Our lunch was really great, we had a large table and were spaced out sufficiently to feel safe. The server was great, food was excellent....Overall, we had a great experience.

Hosts that greeted us did not seem super thrilled to be there, almost annoyed that we showed up as well. Our server though, she was excellent. Brought us water without us asking for it. She was extremely friendly and overall was great at her job. The food was a bit too spicy for our likely but was still cooked well.

All for of us in our dining party ordered the Thanksgiving Dinner special which was better than I expected! Portions were ample and more importantly we enjoyed a home cooked meal, alongside a stunning view without the hassle of having to cook it ourselves. Well done !

We arrived for a Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner but, shortly after arrival, were told there was none left. This completely disconcerted my guest who'd had the same experience two years ago at Christmas! She understandably vowed: "No more celebratory meals at Boathouse". Luckily, we had an absolutely marvellous server, Britney. She was most sympathetic, and brought a managerial representative to see us. He explained that it was not the lack of turkeys causing the problem, but insufficient oven capacity. How could that not have been completely foreseeable?!
Anyway, after he'd gone, I said To Britney: "Does this mean that you could serve full Thanksgiving Dinners but minus the turkey? In which case, could that be done with chicken instead?" She went off to check with the kitchen and came back quite jubilant: "Yes!" So that's what we did, and it was a reasonably satisfactory non-traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.
A disappointment generally, but Britney's commitment and bright attitude certainly picked up our spirits. She saved the evening!

The restaurant called mins before our arrival telling us there was no turkey but they redeemed themselves. The steak was very good and they had good seafood chowder.

But the meal was enjoyable, great service and of course the scenary was beautiful.

I would recommend having a jacket, as it does get cold and winter when its fall/winter

We understood there are Covid restrictions and less staff, but our Thanksgiving dinner was a complete gongshow.
1) 5 mins prior to arrival, the restaurant calls to advise they are out of turkey dinners and asked if we wanted to cancel our reservation. So late in the time, it was too late to rearrange. We had booked weeks in advance to take advantage of the dinner promotion. Our reservation was not late in the evening, so for them to run out of turkey on Thanksgiving was very disappointing. My elderly parents rarely dine out, and so when we brought them there, it was supposed to be a dining experience, which turned out to be another disappointment. We had no management approach us at all to apologize for the oversight of their chef/inventory staff member.
2) They then advised us that they had ran out of the alcoholic drink Mango Mojito that we had also ordered/requested.
3) The evening was very chilly and breezy with a crisp draft, while sitting INSIDE the restaurant. Many table patrons had requested to move their tables to be away from the sliding doors as their families were cold. We even had requested them to close the sliding doors - but they remained opened. Everyone around us were wearing their jackets and had wrapped themselves with their coats/ponchos. It was very uncomfortable for many patrons.
4) When we had our desserts, we requested two Mocha ice cream cake slices… one had a double portion of roasted nuts, yet the other one has absolutely none. We brought it up to the attention of our wait staff, they laughed it off that my father “was nutty enough”?!! I was mortified to have heard this and was kinda offended.
Being that the restaurant had a promotion of their turkey dinners that evening, the staff who handled the inventory buying/preparation should have taken more care in their ordering of inventory. Staff should be more accommodating to their patrons when there were multiple complaints about them being cold. Sliding doors should have been closed

Our Thanksgiving dinner was a disaster. The turkey was tasteless, dry and we were served totally raw vegetables.
We had such a good memory of last year Thanksgiving dinner but this year’s was a miss.

I understand there are difficulties in the restaurant industry but this dinner was below a third rate diner.

The Boathouse is an excellent place to eat, with a fantastic view of the waterfront. I had the Thanksgiving dinner which was excellent, as was the Creme Brulee, service was great, and I had a seat by the window. I would recommend this restaurant. (But I would add Pumpkin pie to the Thanksgiving menu!)

You can’t beat the view and the atmosphere is relaxed. The food is OK and a reasonable price point. Family friendly. Service on our last visit was extraordinary. My main complaint is that there was no seasonal desert for Thanksgiving;)

Went for my mom's birthday, and overall experience was lacking. Indicated on the reservation that it was for a birthday celebration and nothing was acknowledged (no happy birthday, candle on the cake, etc)z

The good: easy checkin and got a window seat with an awesome view. Service was fine and food tasted ok (though the $55 lobster tails were rubbery).

The bad: the windows are partially open and the patio heaters were not on. I asked whether they could be turned on, and it was for about half hour then inexplicably turned off. The Caesar salad was lacking in dressing and croutons, and no bread with the soup?? Not sure what the side plates are for. Most of the entrees were ok, except for the lobster was overdone. There’s also very little sides that came with this dish, so there’s not much value in it. Long wait between when the server took away our entrees to dessert.

Overall, experience left a lot to be desired. No inclination to return.

The ambience and food were great. Just needed better communication between staff. We ordered 3 meal course, extra appetizer and drinks. The only problem was we didn’t get our dessert(2 cream brûlée) as we asked our server to make to go since we were so full. We’ve been waiting for 20 minutes so I asked my friend to stay and wait for our dessert because I needed to run to my car due to parking ticket will expires soon. When my friend followed up to another server, the server went to the kitchen and when she came back asked my friend if she can wait another 15 to 20 minutes because our dessert were not ready yet. It wasn’t ordered it in the kitchen. Didn’t get refund because according to the server needed to call manager to do a refund. My friend can’t wait anymore minute because I’ve been waiting for her in parking for quite a while.

The greeter was very friendly, while also taking care of business. One of our party had lost her mask outside, and was given a new one to use. Adherence to COVID rules was evident without it being fussy.

Our table was on the beach side, with open windows and nobody around us. Perfect.

Food was excellent and our server was friendly and knowledgable.

Best service ever from Mary!! She totally made our birthday celebration experience a fantastic and memorable one.

Ahi tuna taco appies were yummy and mixed seafood grill was delicious.

The only thing The Boathouse needs to address is its beer menu. It’s long past time to add some darker choices - porter, cream ales or even an amber.
