   The food wasn’t good (except the cheesesteak egg rolls) but the drinks were great. They had a live band that showed up later on, setting a nice r&b ambience.

   We weren’t sure what we were walking into, but we knew that it had great ratings for food, and this place did not disappoint. The food was so full of flavor, and potions were a nice size and the vibe was great. They had a live DJ, who played all types of hip hop music. The music was loud and it was a bit warm but I would go back in a heartbeat.

   I rarely have a bad experience with bqe, good vibes and hang out spot but this time I was a bit thrown off with my drink price. I only ordered a Margarita but my receipt read 2 casamigos $22 + Margarita $2. I asked the server and I still ain’t understand the explanation. She said oh they charge by the liquor and charge for the flavor. I did not request a particular liquor nor did I ask for a flavor so I’m not understanding why my little drink brought to me in a little small clear plastic cup was $25. I enjoyed the drink but they won’t see me no more, I don’t like being taken advantage of and I hope this helps the next person avoid being over charged.

   We were in town celebrating my husband's birthday, reservations were at 7pm, before the party crowd. The service was attentive, the music was jamming but not loud, the food was hot and fresh and tasty. We had the short ribs, which was our favorite, the salmon alfredo, which was average and the sweet potato cheese cake and the peach cobbler, which were both homemade good. The drinks however were amazing, strong and good sized!

    Server didn’t check on us as often. We we’re needed things and had to get another server attention to get our server. You can tell gratuity was included by the lack of attention by server. My party was a table of 4.

    As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by a friendly valet attendant. Next the host at the wad warm and inviting. Lastly, the server, food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch! This is a must go!

    The host had a bad attitude. She did really want to help us. She’s left us standing there so we had to ask for the manager which he was able to help us out right away. He was amazing. It was my birthday and we were just trying to have a nice time.

    Made a reservation for 2:30 got the run around all the way until 3:50 after I witnessed people already sitting that came after us without reservations. My party and I finally left and went to a different restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend making reservation because you won’t get sat. A party of 17 for a reservation at 3:45 sat before us.

    This is one of my favorite spots in Atlanta, because overall the experience is always good. The service could certainly be better (be prepared to wait a bit for drinks and possibly food),but the ambiance is everything, especially if you go on a Friday night when they have the live r&b band. Order the sweet potato cheesecake for dessert if you get nothing else! It’s insanely good. The mac & cheese and chicken & waffles are also good.

    Service was ok- our first round of drinks took an hour & 15 minutes. Our food came at least 30 minutes before we got our first drink. The server said that the bar was backed up, but never asked if we wanted a water or anything else while we waited an hour for our drink. Food was ok- the fryer grease needs to be changed or filtered. We come here a lot & it seems like the dj plays the same set every Saturday.

    I go out to eat a lot. I’ve been to BQE back a few years ago (pre pandemic) and it was good. My good this time tasted horrible. I really just wanted the cheesesteak egg rolls and salmon pasta cause it used to be good. Both were bad. The cheesesteak egg rolls were soggy as if the fryer wasn’t hot enough, and the salmon pasta, the issue was that the pasta was over cooked which makes the dish taste watery. Altogether just not a good meal. I hope you guys bring back the way you used to do things.

    Went here with friends. Server was nice but didn’t listen to us most of the night. This place is expensive for no reason. I kept asking for a fork but they kept giving me spoons. Also it was all cheap plastic ware. We all ordered soda and it came as if they mixed it with water. We would have ordered water, but water was technically more expensive than the soda. Soda was 4 and water was 5. We order the salmon pasta, fried chicken and fish and grits. The fish and grits was terrible. Fish was made well but the grits weren’t seasoned and had no butter. It was supposed to come with a sauce with crawfish (crawfish was according to my server). It was just the fish on cold unseasoned grits. I asked to take it off so I could just share the pasta and instead they gave me another plate I didn’t order and stated afterwards that I wouldn’t have been able to send the food back unless I ordered something else. When I got the pasta it was like half of the portion as my friends. Fried chicken plate. Publix fried chicken is better. Greens were too sweet. We Switched the sweet potato purée for the macaroni and cheese. Bad decision. Worst Mac I’ve ever had. Pasta was good but was not worth $28. There were not that many people but the fact that we had to keep asking for things and it taking like 10 to 15 minutes for us to still not get anything was just the cherry on top. We never got forks that night. And will not be coming back,

    They gave me rice that was extremely hard and crunchy and I couldn’t eat it. The chicken and the spinach was okay. I tried to swap out for something else but they said it would take a while. And I didn’t want any of the other sides. Not thinking I should’ve requested a discount. They gave my boyfriend the bottom of the pan mash potato’s he said they tasted burned. Come to find out that was the last of the potato’s they gave him. He also had the ribs which was just one big huge bone and a tiny piece of meat. $32 dollars for his meal $22 for mine I believe. The food was far too expensive for it to taste this bad. I can’t believe they would give us food that wasn’t cooked well and didn’t even try to rectify the issue. Went here for my birthday and I won’t be back.

    There is a doorman who is armed and in a flak jacket. The pat down by him was the start of our experience. Music was good, food was OK. Service was slow and inattentive, which was not unusual for Atlanta. Many places have a mandatory service charge/tip and it showed. Also, the neighborhood is very sketchy.

    This was my second time here. I brought a group a friends from out of town because I had such a pleasurable experience the first. But this experience…. not so much. First off, we barely saw our waiter. He wasn’t “rude” but he wasn’t very attentive. Which makes since to have had gratuity already included in the check. The live music also wasn’t happening which i’m not sure as to why with that being one of the main reasons I came back.

    Overall the experience was amazing. The only reason I deducted one star is because the music was entirely too loud to even hear the waitress right in front of me. Other than that, the actual music/DJ, food, service, and value were above & beyond. As such, despite the volume of the music, I will go back next time I’m in ATL.
