    Divine! Excellent wait staff! We arrived early & they were very gracious in accommodating us. Delectable tea sandwiches & elegant & delicious desserts. My go to place for birthday celebrations!

    Butchart Gardens is beautiful. We have gone many times over the years and it never disappoints. This is the first year we have done the high tea as it’s quite expensive, especially when it’s not included or discounted with entrance. The food was yummy and the service was exceptional. Wish we could have tried more than one tea. They really catered to allergies.

    Our High Tea was absolutely lovely. The tea was delectable, the savories and sweets were unique and delicious, the ambience was lovely (great classical music playing softly in the background!) and it was decorated for Christmas.

    Among high teas in Victoria, BC I like this one the best. It would be even better if there were gentle, live piano in the background, and a fire in a fireplace.

    Amazing experience. My husband, daughter and I had high tea. Our daughter had the vegan option. Everything from our server to the food and ambience was nothing short of amazing. You dont want to miss this when in Victoria. The gardens and grounds are simply beautiful.

    This was delightful in every way. As a gluten free vegetarian, usually I just make do with what is served. All my dietary restrictions were beautifully accommodated and my daughter’s “regular” tea was delicious (said she).. just wonderful.

    This was the loveliest, extraordinary, sublime high tea I have ever had in my life. The food was superb. The view of the gardens were enchanting. A perfect way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

    Disappointing experience as the food (vegetarian afternoon tea) was not at the top of freshness - except for the small quiches. Pastry was just ok. The service felt like :" hurry up your time is over", although we arrived at 3oc' as indicated on your web site. The doggie box was negligently dropped ob the table just like 'by the way' it's there'. First time in our many times over the years at the Restaurant that our experience was negative. Because of that, I would suggest a "may be" instead of just a Yes or No recommendation. Or 'Yes but improvement needed '.

    Lunch included a lovely selection of hot and cold sandwiches, a full pot of tea, tasty sweet treats in a sun- drenched room. Our server, Leah was so attentive and willing to chat with my elderly parents, allowing them to feel listened to. I believe the value of the high tea experience to exceed that is the Empire, both in value and ambience. I look forward to the next time I am able at attend!

    We were seated in the old conservatory which was delightful. They are very generous with the amount of tea but the food is deceptively filling so we weren’t able to take full advantage. Would definitely go again.

    Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Butchart with my daughter's, international student and my husband. It was our students first high tea and she was quite impressed. My girls loved the tea and the restaurant accommodated our requests which was much appreciated. I will return.

    I absolutely recommend having the cream tea. It was thoroughly enjoyable experience! Bouchart Gardens always seem to get the little details right and this was no different. Exactly what I expected. Much appreciated!

    This is one of our favourite places to take visitors to Vancouver Island or to celebrate a special occasion. It is expensive when you also add the cost of admission to the gardens but the quality of the experience makes it memorable. A yearly membership which pays for itself after two visits and the additional 10% discount on food and gift shop purchases helps to keep costs down.

    Our hostess asked us if we would like to wait for a table at one of the beautiful windows overlooking the garden and we said Absolutely! It made our first tea experience even more special. We enjoyed the delicious sandwiches, scones, desert and the exquisite trifle! We loved the anniversary blend of black and green teas and we even tried the wine pairing and it matched very well. We had a wonderful time and will cherish the memory always.

    The Ambiance was beautiful, furniture and background music. We were seated at one of the window tables. We had a lovely view. Service was wonderful and there was lots of goodies leftover to take home.

    This was our second tea on the Island for our trip. Our first was Huntington Manner Tea House, that gets a 5/5. As we had something to compare to, this experience was just ok. The atmosphere is divine, the service was good, the options for tea was lacking and the food was far less than I expected, especially for the price. I felt the tea pots, cups and plates were dull and needed a more vintage feel. Overall, go for the experience not for the food.

    Made a reservation a month ahead of time, table wasn’t ready upon arrival. We were placed at the best table with a view, which was awesome. But the service was slow. It took 35 mins to receive our tea after sitting down. The food was ok, could have had more filling in between the bread. The wine pairings were good. The ambience declined when a family with a baby was sat next to us, which is not the restaurant’s fault. But it had an effect on our experience. It seemed other tables were served much quicker than us. Maybe there was a shift change? The gardens were magnificent. Thank you for the experience. Cheers.
