Went for our anniversary and had a great time. Our server Don was friendly and right there when we needed him. Our meal was fantastic- we were surprised when we discovered it was restaurant week and thoroughly enjoyed the special menu.

Not the usual quality of food and service we are used to when dining here. The Porcini-Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye With 15-Year Aged Balsamic did not contain enough balsamic and the porcini was too burnt. The steak itself however, was still perfectly medium rare. We had the Bone-In Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY/KC Strip With Shallot Butter at the Houston location and it tasted much better. We felt very neglected during the meal. We had to hunt our waiter down, our water glasses sat empty, and after checking in on us after we received the food, he disappeared. He also left bread crumbs/trash on the table and did not clear away all the dirty plates. When the food was dropped off, there were also no introduction to the dishes. Bread was also dropped off without any comment/acknowledgement. This did not feel like a fine dining experience, a far cry from the quality of food and service from the Houston location.

Our server seemed to have forgotten us numerous times. The food was served by someone else. I didn’t send back my undercooked steak due to no confidence it would be brought back soon. The server offered to bring out two potato servings instead of one each potato and creamed spinach but he brought the latter anyway. I had to flag down the manager to get the server’s attention to get our final check. The server promised our leftovers would be boxed up three times over a half hour time period. This was not a good experience as we are faithful Capital Grille customers across the county and know what good service is.

Delicious dinner at The Capital Grille with a friend. Ron, our waiter was the best - very attentive without being intrusive. The burrata and tomato salad was delicious and perfect for sharing. I had the scallop and lobster asparagus risotto which was wonderful except the scallops were a bit dry. My friend’s roasted chicken was cooked to perfection and we capped off the meal with the cheesecake. We’ll definitely return & have steak next time!

Our server Brooke was exceptional, she was very personable and attentive to what we needed. Her time at the table was enough to be personable but not intrusive on our much needed date night. Even though Brooke had other tables she made us feel like we were her only one. The food was perfectly prepared as always which is why this is yearly anniversary go to. Overall, a great experience.
