   As a frequent guest at this fabulous restaurant, Tuesday’s visit will be my last for the immediate future. Once we were seated, no server/manager greeted us. We were given ice water by the busser, who later refilled our water glasses. After close to 20 minutes of being seated, I watched server after server walk past us. I watched a manager lean on the service station near the private back room and look at our table. Finally my wife waived over a server, who said, “has anyone been over yet?” She was annoyingly friendly about it, bordering on obnoxious. At that point we placed a drink order, got those drinks in a timely fashion and then waited another 30 minutes or so to place a food order. During that time I watched countless tables get prompt greetings, but not us. We saw the manager sit down in the back room for a bite, but never did our server or the manager address our table about exactly what this delay was about. Did the host stand not pass our chit over to the server? Did the server forget us? Did the manager give any care at all about his dining room? As a result of the terrible visit we were having, we decided to finish our entree and get dessert at the bar. We asked for the check and we’re then given a free dessert with no explanation as to what exactly it was given to us. Now absolutely furious about our server thinking we were having a bad visit, but not addressing the issue, we couldn’t even enjoy a drink and dessert at the bar. I’ve witnessed breakdowns and I understand, but with no communication from the Capital Grille team, I cannot let this go. We didn’t touch the free dessert, communication and not free stuff is what I needed. I’ve always been treated like a 5-star guest at this establishment, so the lack of and no communication as to why, was quite memorable and not in a good way. The kitchen did provide excellent tasting plates, as usual, but we were left with a lot to be desired.

   I went to celebrate a friend’s birthday at the Capital Grill but the service was very disappointing. We saw all the tables around us getting a special birthday treat while our server missed our completely. Needless to say my friend was disappointed. Not only that, our server were super slow, he was pre-occupied with the tables near by that came after us and was rushing us off at the end of the meal when we still have not finish the desert and coffee we ordered. I’ve been to Capital Grill many times over the years and this is definitely a huge let down.

    Exceptional as always! I never knew that they do brunch on Mother Day and Easter. The lobster frittata is absolutely phenomenal. Many thanks to Andrew, Chuck, and Scotty for a fantastic birthday dinner!

    Overall experience was fine, but the food quality was good, not great. Steaks were good as were the sides (try the scalloped potatoes). Server was excellent. For stars for value. Good food at great prices.

    Been awhile since going to Capital Grill while we experienced many of the other Boston Steakhouses. It was good to be back at the Grill and made us wonder why we hadn’t been back sooner. Great meal, great service and at a reasonable price based on other steakhouses. Enough of the others, we will be back and you will once again be our go to.

    This Capital Grille is consistently delicious. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that it's a little predictable. But if you're in the mood for a great steak dinner -- this is your place.

    Great evening celebrating two birthdays! He had a server named Diego who made the evening so special. We will always ask for him in the future food was phenomenal and the restaurant is consistent. Probably one of the only ones in Boston that is.always great!

    My fiancé and I really enjoyed our overall experience. The food and service was some of the best we’ve been around. The quality of steak was top notch along with the wine. Our waiter Ledi was also so welcoming and definitely helped us out when deciding what to order. Would 100% come back.

    It was the day of the Boston Marathon and the crowd was intoxicated and very loud, definitely not the norm for Capital Grille. Even so, the service and food was top notch and we had a wonderful time.

    We had an excellent experience for my daughters 16th birthday. Our server Diego took good care of our table. We will definitely go back. The food was delicious. We ordered the NY Strip au piovre, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes. They brought out a birthday desert which consisted of their espresso cake & cheesecake with fresh fruit.
