As with large groups there are always some changes in numbers and Carbon bar still managed to be very accommodating for us ... and the servers who took care of us made sure to give us a positive experience...and that meat platter...if you're ever in doubt...order it! Always top notch!

I had high expectations for this place, but unfortunately they fell short. The food was okay, definitely nothing to write home about. We ordered the pitmaster platter with a side of jalapeño cornbread. The corn bread lacked flavour. The fried chicken was extremely crunchy and hard to bite through. The ribs were ok. The sausage was really good, I wish there was more on the platter. The fries were absolutely delicious.

Food is excellent, as is their selection of drinks. I personally had the brisket and a bourbon flight. Both are exceptional. My partner had the Mac and cheese, which she couldn’t stop raving about it was so good. Ambience is good. Not overly loud and with a good playlist Staff were very friendly and generous and gave overall very good service. Only gripe is it took a while to get our bill at the end, but that’s very minor.

Carbon Bar is always an amazing place to go - I’ve been for many different occasions and we always leave very satisfied. Staff is amazing, management is proactive and professional, at atmosphere is gorgeous. Noise can get high at high traffic times but that can’t be helped (as the place is so popular) as the area is a big open venue with challenging acoustics. I enjoy it because you feel like you’re in a lovely downtown location - but could be a deterrent for some. However, I found conversations to be very manageable. The food is absolutely magnificent every time. It’s my choice for favourite restaurant in the city.

Oh man, what can I say? Our server was outstanding, and very helpful with great recommendations on cocktails and food. We were happy with everything, from the starters to the dessert. The Brisket was amazing and the ribs were falling off the bone like you want ribs to be done. Keep it up guys.
