Had the BBQ ribs with Mac and cheese ...Mac and cheese great but ribs just ok. Also tried the brisket which was delicious...should have ordered that instead. Ordered one of the specialty cocktails which was delicious

The restaurant is lost between a BBQ smokehouse and a nicer restaurant in all aspects: Decor, atmosphere, service, food, and prices. The large dining room and car are nicely decorated, yet service staff wear a t-shirt uniform; there is loud, outdated music playing, and patrons range from casual groups (some loud and obnoxious) to parties celebrating special occasions; the menu is a split between unique appies and entrees, and flat-out southern style BBQ including large share platters - both sides of he menu similarly priced at around $30-40 per meal.

My experience was good on the food side but lacking in every other respect. Our seafood and fish entrees were delicious and reasonably sized, and cocktails were okay. The music was distracting, and the party next to us was very loud and rowdy, clearly talking about us and pointing, and sometimes yelling and waving handkerchiefs over their heads. After dessert, we were brought the bill without even asking as if we were done, and the bill was missing items we ordered from the bar. Overall, the experience was lacking and definitely did not warrant the bill at the end of the night.

Been to carbon a few times. The meat or seafood share platters are great. Brisket is the best

I️ really like the ambiance here and the idea of more upscale bbq. The food has not been as good the past couple of times. Cocktails, service and the room itself are all great. We had the bbq platter this past time and it was just ok. The brisket was weak compared to most better bbq places in Toronto (it used to be better), the ribs were a bit dry and the chicken had a mushy layer between a great crisp batter and perfectly cooked, moist chicken - almost like the chicken was cooked first then battered and fried where the inside of the batter was still raw. The sauces were a bit lacking in flavour compared to some other places. Would love for the food to get upgraded back up to where it was the first few times we visited over the years.

Excellent find. Service is attentive without being oppressive. Best brisket outside of Texas. We will be back!

We arrived 2 hours early to our reservation and were seated promptly. The waiter quickly recognized we were not in a hurry. The Carbon Bar specializes in smoked meat and Bourbon. My wife, a vegetarian, found plenty on the menu to choose from. We had the Peppers and the KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower) to start. Both were yummie. I enjoyed the delicious Beef Brisket and my wife enjoyed the Salmon. To finish I savoured one of their delicious Bourbons especially selected for me by the Bourbon master. The service was impeccable. Next time we are in Toronto, we will be back.

Food place to accomodate needs of a keto diner. The brisket benny was very filling with teo perfectly poached eggs and lashings of hollaindaise, did not need the mile high biscuit, would have been way too much!

We enjoyed the food. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the huevos al carbón. Presentation was great and everything tasted very nice. To our surprise we only paid $50 for two people and it included coffee, main course and a little chocolate desert.

The meat platter was definitely worth it. The seafood was a bit underwhelming, but I suppose it's more for the exquisite tastes. We went for my parent's anniversary, and we were hoping for a bit more than just a candle on top of our desert, but nonetheless, good overall.

My husband and I booked a table here based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed! A great restaurant and the Pit Master Platter certainly lived up to its reputation especially the beef brisket which was melt-in-the-mouth soft!

Watch out for the cornbread with maple butter. ...delicious!

Would definitely go back when we are next in Toronto and will recommend to any of our visiting friends from London, UK!

I took my girlfriend here for our two year anniversary, it was also where I brought her on our first date. We decided to order the experience. Essentially, you get chefs choice of snacks, apps, mid course, main course, and dessert. You essentially get to try almost every item on the menu for a price that is impossible to refuse! Food was exceptional, as always, and the staff was friendly, accommodating, and amplified the experience tenfold. Seriously considering hosting a guys night here as I am very curious to view the whisky cart!

10/10 I recommend this place to everyone.

I like that when a server or the restaurant makes a mistake, they don't only apologize but they compensate you for it. I think it's an excellent way to show remorse and amazing customer service skills. I would return here over and over!

We had a great night with friends at Carbon bar. The cocktails were delicious and the food was amazing. To start we shared the K.F.C. and Crispy BBQ pork belly. Both were devoured and appreciated. For our entree, we shared family style the Pit Master Platter and the Truffled Ricotta Dumplings. The four of us left over satisfied and will come back on our next trip to TO. Very highly recommended!

The food was great! We had the platter which came with brisket, ribs and fried chicken. The brisket and ribs were outstanding, while the chicken was very good, but not great (I think they used breast because it was a little dry and had no bones). The KFC was excellent. The service was fast and very friendly. The place has a cool vibe, looks good too (whether it's and boys night out or if you bring a date, but not on a first date, can get a little messy).

We were hungry so we (group of 5) so we decided to do the $65 experience. It is a great value with a good quantity of food and you are able to try a variety of delicious items from the menu via chefs choice. You can't go wrong ...especially on half price bourbon Mondays! Favourites--the KFC, beets, duck tacos, brisket, ribs, fries, pecan pie and lemon tart. Service friendly and attentive.

Food was great. Highly recommend for BBQ. Service, not so much. Mistake made with respect to wine order. No inquiry about the quality of the meal by server. Water glasses not refilled. Long wait between finishing the meal and getting an opportunity to ask for the bill. But the food was so good I am willing to give the place another chance.
