    We made a reservation for a late breakfast, but there were almost no other tables seated during our visit. Food was very enjoyable, although service was a bit slower at some times. The restaurant was much more casual then we were expecting based on how the restaurant is listed on Open Table. Very good experience overall.

    Overpriced club food. For the Fairmont you would expect better. A classic egg and meat breakfast came with tater tots, would have been a lot better with real potatoes. “Espresso machine was down”, so drip coffee and tea were the only options for caffeinated beverages. The Earl grey tea was surprisingly bad. The golf course looked gorgeous.

    Love this place the team working here are amazing and the food is delicious. Highly recommend. The only thing I would change is the Bavarian themed music which once you start to hear it’s hard to not hear, even if you try really hard.

    Incredibly delicious meal from appetizers to desserts! The mushroom toast was outstanding, the cheese fondue creamy and filling, so much steak we couldn’t finish it, and the chocolate dessert decadent!

    We dined here on 3-14-23 and we were disappointed in our seating arrangements staring out at a pile of Firewood. The wait time for our food was long and our server rarely checked back with us. I will not be dining here again. The food was so -so and overpriced.

    Great experience. Did the Fondue Experience and the quality of the food was excellent. The courses were not rushed and we felt that we had plenty of time to relax and enjoy. Staff was very friendly and service was very good.

    Excellent fondue experience. A bit pricy but well worth it. Beautiful location and a memorable meal made to be shared and enjoyed together. Don’t forget to scrape the caramélisés cheese off the pot at the end!

    Wine list very limited. When I did pick a bottle they were out of that particular wine. A little disappointing. Service a bit slow but they looked understaffed. Actual server was very pleasant.

    We felt forgotten about amidst several other large parties. We opted for the “fondue experience” which includes a soup or salad, a meat/cheese course, and a chocolate course. The onion soup starter course was delicious. Drinks came out after our soup did. We added winter truffles to our cheese fondue, but I’m pretty sure they just added truffle salt, because the fondue was so salty, it was barely palatable. The meat is served shaved, which makes it difficult to cook in the broth without it falling off the skewer. We’ve had meat fondue cubed and both prefer that over the shaved method. The chocolate fondue was just ok, nothing amazing. The location and ambiance was beautiful, and this was a fun novelty dining experience but probably wouldn’t go again due to it not matching the expectation and certainly not for the price point.

    Fun and delicious fondue experience. The food and service were very good. It’s in a beautiful snowy secluded spot and has a small dining room with cool architecture. The parking was a hassle - Be aware you need to give yourself extra time to get there if you aren’t staying at the fairmount. I would leave an hour early. I am not familiar with the area and didn’t realize it’s in a separate building that serves as the club house to the golf course in summer and the restaurant in winter. There are no parking spots there, but you can park at the fairmount and their car will take you over. I called when I realized there was no parking and was told to park at the fairmount and have the car take us and the server would validate our parking. The server wasn’t familiar with parking validation - it’s not handled on their end, so the instructions we got from the main phone number were wrong. He said to just try to use our ticket and it should be a pass out, if it wasn’t to call the front desk and then could take care of it and to use his name. I didn’t do that, because I could tell this was pay parking and I would be stuck. I went to the concierge and they said they don’t validate for that normally, although they were very friendly and did take care of it anyway. The drivers were super nice and everything got resolved but we ended up being late to dinner because of the mix ups. As soon as we got there the hostess pointed out that we were late - although when I talked to the initial person on the phone I asked her to notify the restaurant of the parking issue and she said she would. I don’t think that happened. If we had known we would have just gone earlier but it wasn’t stated anywhere on open table this was the arrangement. There was a second family I overheard with the same issue who was also late. As long as you are prepared for parking with enough time to travel to a second location (that is very close - you just need the car service) you’ll have a nice time I’m sure.

    Bonnie was our server, great recommendations from the menu. We didn’t have the fondue but the meals were excellent. Great portions, and very reasonably priced for the location. Will most definitely recommend and come back to.

    Overpriced fondue -just a few pieces of old bread, a not so impressive cheese mix, an average service by junior staff...they should offer raclette option and charcuterie on this rather limited menu. Overall family friendly but no luxury or romantic dimension.An expensive tourist thing.

    Disappointed. I arrived on time and they could not find my reservation. After showing the host my confirmation and about 10 minutes it seemed someone had checked another table in already on my reservation. I was seated and it took 15 minutes for anyone to come near me. My drink was fine, the onion soup good but the steelhead was swimming in a sauce that was so salty I had to scape it off. After paying my check my server took my coat check ticket and said my coat would be waiting at the front. I used the restroom and went to the front and my jacket was not there, The server was busy in the dining room and after 10 minutes she walked by me to the bar without a word. I flagged her down and she had forgotten and could not find the ticket. With no apology she asked the host to take care of it. Did not match the reputation of the restaurant.

    We decided to repeat after a great fondue experience and try the a la carte options . We should have stayed with fondue , food and presentation was average a best , salty Spätzle and red cabbage…but what really made this difference was the service. Understaffed, yes they tried but so slow it got frustrating. Remember this isFairmont Chalet …you pay and expect quality and service… none was delivered.

    The dinner took over 2.5 hours because they were running extremely behind. I had to ask 3x to get a piece of bread for my baby. We booked the dinner at 6:30 because usually we eat in an hour then it’s bed time for the baby. But we didn’t leave the restaurant until 9 or so. Drink came wrong. Onion soup was extremely oily and barely no onion or cheese. Cheese fondue was great. Meat fondue was horrible - my husband order a side of sea food to eat as I don’t, then they gave us only one pan to cook all the dif meats, of course the red meat tasted like fish using both pans. Absurd! Chocolate fondue was decent. I asked for a mashed purée food for my baby, they gave me a veggies in pieces… everything was not right.

    We went for my father’s 71st birthday while in whistler on vacation. We arrived for our reservation on time using the Fairmont hotel car, and when we arrived, we were told to sit by the back by a counter full of dirty glasses and giant gallons of cooking oil while they got our table ready. Servers continued to come add more dirty glasses with no one clearing any of them. It felt like they were very understaffed and the majority of the staff were new. Inside the restaurant, it was very bright, no ambiance at all- especially after coming from the fairmont’s mallard bar, which was absolutely beautiful with impeccable service. The drinks and food took hours and then my father’s meat was very undercooked and had to be sent back to cook longer. My husband and father had the same (rosti) and both of them were sick all night and into the next day. We did have a wonderful older woman as our server though who really tried her best to salvage the evening and gave us complimentary wine and chocolate fondue for my father’s birthday- and she also waived the mac and cheese my son ordered as he fell asleep at the table so we ended up taking that to go. She deserves special praise but unfortunately her colleagues did not help. The cheese fondue was delicious though but overall it was very disappointing and not at all what we expected from a Fairmont establishment or per the reviews.

    What a wonderful and unique experience. The clubhouse is a picture perfect little chateau a short drive up the road from the lovely fairmont hotel. Jimmy our driver from the fairmont was super sweet to us and as we walked into the beautifully decorated chalet it was lightly snowing making it a perfect night for celebrating the holidays. We were greeted by many smiling friendly faces as we were guided to our table. So super cozy inside the dinning room and our waitress was fabulous! We decided on the steelhead as we are percatarians which was delicious and the waitress suggested the perfect australian white wine. Simply a remarkable and memorable experience. To make it even better the driver from the hotel came to pick us up and even dropped us at our hotel in whistler village. I would highly recommend this dinning experience for anyone who likes to try new places but especially during the holidays as its so quaint and picturesque.
