The Chalet and Clubhouse at the Fairmont Golf Course
Hosted in the summertime home of the Chateau Whistler Golf Clubhouse, The Chalet offers an intimate and decadent winter menu including savory fondues, rösti and artisan charcuterie platters.
Be sure to save room for the rich, chocolate fondue dessert!
The food was very good. The portions were big.
Too expensive for what it is
EXCELENTES FONDUES Y EL SERVICIO INMEJORABLE, NO FALTAREMOS CUANDO ESTEMOS EN WHISTLER
Excelente servicio y el lugar muy agradable
Great way to spend an evening with cheese fondue, broth fondue and chocolate fondue!
Y ambiente muy amiga le
For cheese fondue outside of Switzerland and in a restaurant this was pretty good. Not the best, but fairly close to authentic.
Wiener schnitzel was a pretty good try as well. Could have been a bit thinner, and a bit less bready. Otherwise good flavor. I, having grown up in a German household, should not have compared my authentic food to restaurant food, but it’s just not amazing or outstanding food.
Fantastic. Really enjoyed the fondue experience. Chill and warm, inviting atmosphere. Very attentive yet low key service. Highly recommend.
Wine list is small and expensive. Very nice venue, exelent and friendly service. Food pork knuckle and schnitzel not good at all.
Best birthday dinner with my group of friends. Had the three course fondue and loved every bite. the wine was good and the after dinner drinks.
Very nice place just felt some background music was required
cheese fondue fairly bland (not a trace of Gruyere / wine). Would be nice to have SOMETHING else other than bread to break it up a bit: pickles/apple/tomatoes.
Notre 3e visite au Chalet, nous avons été un peu déçus! beaucoup d'erreurs dans la commande! Mais cela reste un endroit plaisait pour un après ski!
Enjoyed nice dinner there after a day of skiing . Ambiance is very nice. The Wiener Schnitzel was good. The Stroganoff was tasty but a bit tough. Linzer Tart was excellent. Prices were reasonable for a high end resort like Whistler.
We booked the chalet for a special birthday treat for our friends 30th and the experience did not disappoint. The staff were exceptionally helpful, we opted for the fondue experience - which did not disappoint and the setting was wonderful. I'd highly recommend the experience for anyone looking to add a fondue experience to their trip.
I almost booked another fondue experience which takes place up the mountain - however the reviews disappointed - so I was very pleased to not only discover this option, but to also be very pleased with the evening
Beautiful restaurant, amazing experience fondue! Even the pork was amazing 😋😍❤️
It's a great place for a cozy winter dinner in a perfect ambiance. The theme, various fondues is perfect for a date, for a family or even a group. Perfect way to end a ski day in Whistler
We had a beautiful table by the window. Service was wonderful. We did the fondue experience. It was fun. One suggestion would be to add some veggies to dip in the cheese, there’s only so much bread you can eat in one dinner. GF options were fantastic!! Thank you for having that.
Really tasty fondue - both cheese and chocolate. The meat fondue never seemed to get warm enough to cook- even though it was sushi ready - it would have been nice to have the meat portion warmer.
The only real negative is the atmosphere. I get what they are trying to do - which is to keep the club house and staff busy during the winter months. They are close- but it wouldn't have taken too much more to add ANYTHING German for decor....a stein, a picture, a roaming accordion player. It looks like it was kind of tossed together with some craft store items on the shelves.
Service was decent, food was tasty, but kind of ended there. I hope they read this receive and make some slight tweaks to make the experience just a little more inline with the menu.
The beat dining experience we had in Whistler. Great food, excellent service wonderful ambiance and decor.
Not inexpensive, but a good value for the experience.
Excellent fondues! Ger the truffle it is worth it, the chocolate fondue is also a grabd finish
Amazing service by our waitress Gillian! Such a superb place for fondue - the best and tastiest in town! Definitely can’t be missed!
Always lovely. So magical. Makes you feel warm and cozy. With the snow, it's like a winter wonderland. Food is A+.
One of the most expensive meals our family has eaten in Whistler over the past ten evenings. Fondue was a charming experience in a lovely, though mostly empty dining room. Great service.
It your looking for a great winter setting that's warm and cozy, this is it! Great place to have fondue with friends and family in a chalet in the forest setting.
Restaurant was quite empty so not much atmosphere.
Excellent Austrian cuisine! Thank you!
Great service ! This was our second visit and it was superb. Same waitress who was fabulous and anticipated our needs. Cheese fondue and meet fondue are amazing - make sure you save space for the chocolate fondue !!
Amazing service by our waitress! We had a great family dinner and a true pleasurable evening. Really good cheese and meat fondue. We initially thought we would be short on food but it turned out perfect !! Chocolate fondue was fabulous!! We can’t wait to be back.
We ate at the Chalet on 28 Dec. We were warmly welcomed. Food was was excellent as was the service.
Great spot for a romantic dinner
Great for fondue- either chess or chocolate! The rest of the menu was nice but not as appealing.
Good fondue place, gorgeous setting. Good service
Warm surroundings and warm staff. Local BC Pinot Noir was good. Cheese and chocolate courses were great, prices shocking high (or portion shocking low) for the steak. Probably a deal breaker...
A fantastic 50th birthday dinner at the Chalet. The restaurant went above and beyond in taking care of us, giving us complimentary champagne on arrival, the nicest table by the fireplace and a wonderful meal. The cheese fondue was fantastic, followed by the perfect glass of schnapps. A wonderful experience in every way. They even arranged a complimentary ride home in a limo- we walked there in the snow, and sent a driver over to our hotel to return or forgotten credit card.
We are French and had really high expectations concerning the cheese fondue...so unfortunately we have been a little bit disappointed by the recipe, as well as by the charcuterie (meat) plate...But the place and the service are great.
Great family/group experience. The food was very good. Though don't expect a 5 star meal. The ambiance and experience was worth it. They let the kids share off an adult fondue for free which was nice.
Very expensive and not a lot of food. We all got the 6oz surf and added shrimp and they put it on two plates between 7 of us. It was maybe about 16oz total, not 42oz which we were charged for. Additionally, nothing else came with our fondue. They should have told us. No one wants just steak. It would be so easy to add some potatoes or other veggies but it is. It even offered on the menu. We all left very very hungry and non of us are huge eaters. Don't go!!!
