   Looking for a relatively inexpensive steak house off the strip, then this is a good place to check out. The food is prepared as ordered, including the temperature of the steak. The sides are delicious and are large enough for 2 people, maybe even 3 people. Not really into the desserts they have to offer or their house made ketchup. If you have points from Santa Fe's rewards program you can use them 2X on Wednesday's at The Charcoal Room. This means you can take 100,000 points, normally worth $100, and it will be applied as if it were 200,000 points or $200. All-in-all I'm happy to recommend this restaurant.

   My daughter treated me to a birthday dinner at the Charcoal Room. The food was outstanding. We had the filet. Our waiter Justin treated us fabulously. Great experience. Thanks for making my birthday special.

    We have been coming to this restaurant since the day it opened. We came for the Mother's Day celebration, but the experience was horrendous last night. One hour between appetizer and main course. The entire area around us had the same waiting time or worse. No hint or explanation given for what had gone so catastrophically wrong. The food was very good as it usually is, but the waiting time was terrible. We were there for almost 3 hours...... Service had been hit and miss for the last few years, but last night a lot more than a dessert could compensate.

    We frequent the Charcoal Room regularly and have always had impeccable and prompt service. This visit, however, was beyond disappointing. We had two servers attending to our table but there was minimal and infrequent interactions with either of them. It was at least 20 minutes before we were able to place our food order, and there was nearly an hour wait between finishing our appetizer and receiving our entrees. It was 2 hours from the time we were seated to when we finally received our food, and this was only after attempting to pay for our appetizer and drinks to be able to leave as it was now late in the evening. We asked for carryout containers when the food was delivered so we could leave quickly upon finishing our meal, and had to ask two more times before receiving them. Drinks were only refilled once, and the manager never came over despite requesting to speak with someone about the service. This was very unlike the service we're used to and we are apprehensive about returning.

    Very unimpressed with delivery of food arrived at 5:30. Didn’t get served till 730 and food was very good but horrible timing getting it to the table. I should’ve kept my reservations at Oscars.

    The petite filet was excellent… melt in your mouth !! Spinach cooked just right! The Brussels were the tastiest I have ever had. By far one of the most enjoyable dinners! The lamb chops were wonderful and good portion! The espresso martini was a great way to end the meal with! Service was very good! We don’t mind paying the price for great food AND service. Thanks for making mom happy on Mothers Day!

    It was superb in every sense. The food is fresh, simple, cooked in the best way possible, and inexpensive pricing for the high quality was icing on the cake, but all other elements were all great as well, such as the energetic atmosphere, gorgeous interior and great staff!     Waitress and the bus boy was excellent. Actually, the busboy should be pushed into waiter because he was so far over the top of Customer Service. Very attentive, friendly big smiles. Bread basket is what we come in there for thank you for allowing the restaurant to have delicious fresh baked bread. The lamb chops however, we’re very fatty fatty bone in ribeye was excellent.

    Hi, we dined at the Charcoal Room for our wedding anniversary. It was nice to have staff acknowledge our event but the fake rose petals not so much. Food was good, steak and scallops, but the Gem Salad was very disappointing. Wilted lettuce drowned in oil, no cheese and beets and pears (which were very few) had no flavor.     I chose the Charcoal Room for me and my two adult children because I have been a couple times before and again it never fails! The food was amazing! My daughter had the lobster tail, my son had the 10oz filet mignonette, and I had the roasted chicken. The sides are large enough to share and we had 6 different ones. The server was super nice and always checked on us. We will definitely be returning!!

    The food is EXCELLENT! We love the soups, salads, steaks and accompanying sauces! Usually the service is great! This particular night, not so much, but we still had a great experience overall. Charcoal Room is our go-to place for birthdays, celebrations, and for treating ourselves to a delicious meal. We will definitely be back!
