Its unfortunate really that a place with the view, the vibe, and outstanding service has some of the most mediocre food I have had in awhile...my date sent her meal back, the woman at the table beside us sent her meal back, and I barely enjoyed mine...incredibly over-priced
I been to the chase so many times already.. and this time is to celebrate my frds bday . Also is the worst experience I’ve have. Waited a hr for the main course. Everything over cooked and the temperature is cold. I will never go back again .
We had an enjoyable dinner in a very nice venue
Generally good but seriously affected by the 40 min wait for the table. I had guests off a long plane ride, and we sat outside in chilly weather waiting too long for the table.
Girlfriend enjoyed the octopus, said it was delicious.
My iceberg salad was a big miss, unfortunately had to send it back.
Amazing ambiance, amazing service except the blonde hostess that tried to brush off my reservation and froze when I asked for an explanation, quite embarrassing on her part.
I am a regular customer at Chase but the food this time was horrible. No flavour to any of the dishes specially 160$ steak that was tough and didn’t taste well.
Very disappointed with the quality and taste of food. My bill was 1000$ and even tough i made my remarks to the manager, he did not offer any remedies ... really shocked with the behaviour!
great business lunch and would recommend to other people
Wonderful fresh finish, creatively served but a little heavy
A beautiful restaurant and excellent menu. Our only complaint was that the table was too big for 6 of us, impeding conversation. It ended up like 2 separate tables with no cross conversation.
Great oysters! Great fish! Great wine! Great staff! 'Nuff said...
My server was so cute
Great ambiance, excellent quality of food and really fine presentation. Service is impeccable. Pricey but in line with average restaurant in same category.
Very good food, congenial ambiance. I would thoroughly recommend to colleagues to take clients or business associates.
Very poor. Couldn’t understand our server, meat was too tough to eat, and when complained were told that’s how they serve it. $75 for a seafood plate with 2 bites of tuna, 2 scallops, 2 shrimp, 2 bites of crab and 4 oysters is overpriced. And we were told you needed to order sides separate from the entree so we ordered two, only to find that it came with two already. Overall - it is an expense account rip off restaurant.
We arrived right at our reservation time and they told us it would be forty five minutes to get our table even though I called twice to verify our reservation. The manager intervened and they comped us a glass of champagne but it still did take over thirty minutes to get our table. Very disappointed but the food was delicious.
Every aspect of the meal felt considered and well-executed. Special mention goes to the excellent service staff!
Very good food and excellent service, was too full for dessert
great ambiance, gorgeous restaurant. Service was a little slow and it was not totally full. Food is always amazing, but I do tend to find the prices a bit steep.
In town visiting family. Didn’t have a chance to change prior to dinner. Most clients were in business attire.
Maybe that’s why our dinner took 45 mins to arrive and our waitress was no where to be seen. When she finally showed up and we enquirer about our meal, she seemed very out off.
A very bad experience. Will definitely not return. Recommend going to Jacob and Co instead
Everything was exquisite! Service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious!
You guys have it all figured out - great food complete with great service
Thx for a terrific evening- Paul Duffy
Came here for valentines dinner, had a spectacular night. Food was amazing, drinks were tasty, and the ambiance was good. Upbeat music was playing for a younger crowd but it was at a good level as it was not difficult to have conversation. Pre Fix menu for valentines day had some good options, bill was substantially more than a normal night but overall it was worth it.
While I knew going g in the venue is not a bargain I felt ripped off at paying $24 for appetizers. The place is not that much of a knockout for this pricing.
Had reservation for 9:15 and the table wasn’t ready until around 9:45. When seated, we felt very rushed by the waitress because of the time.... even though we weren’t the ones a half hour late.
Lovely evening and wonderful ambiance. I want to comment on Vanessa who was so compassionate and friendly and she made my experience very special. Thanks Vanessa.
Excellent service and food! We were celebrating my girlfriend receiving her PhD and the staff were very complimentary in this regard. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and plan to return soon.
Very nice although the food is very fussy and hard to eat at times.
My partner and I were there to celebrate an anniversary. The service was great. The food we ordered was lukewarm. The 5oz glass of wine GL Pecorino Grifoni was terrible as it did not taste good at all. The only good food were the side order of fries and the chocolate cheesecake. This was very disappointing dinner out. We could have done much better anywhere else and for much cheaper.
Beautiful Ambience. Food was absolutely delicious. Cocktails are a bit overpriced and service was a bit slow. Otherwise, very happy with the experience and our server was extremely knowledgable.
Expensive, but an interesting menu and the food and serve were both great. A good choice for special occasions
Limited menu options as they were out of a couple of dishes; expensive but mediocre food; slow service.
Awesome. The halibut is the best. Excellent service.
They are changing their menu minthly . I used to dine in this res a lot 2 yrs ago . Feels like the old time is better than now .
We came out for my 31st birthday, doubled as date night and it was wonderful. My boyfriend and I ordered all vegan dishes, except for dessert. The portions, presentation and pairing of flavours were perfect. Thanks for making this evening so special.
Had an absolutely terrible server that night. Emailed the restaurant a few weeks ago to let them know what happened but never received any responses.
My boss went to the restaurant and they told him, they didn’t see his reservation after I call to confirm and it was in the notes.
Reservation for Rohit Mehta booked under Julie Stewart.
It was very unprofessional like I looked to his guest.
I honestly , don’t want to get anyone in trouble but it might not seem a big deal but to me it is. It’s my job , it’s very easy. What is the point of the notes when it’s not being read by the restaurant.
This is not the first restaurant to do this . What if I said he’s allergic to peanuts and you served him peanuts. If it’s not being read. Get rid of it. So people are not getting a false sense of security that everything will go ok without me have to check in with the restaurant.
Always impressed by The Chase. Such great food and service. Great 5th floor space, amazing atmosphere.
Lovely restaurant, but unfortunately terrible, terrible service - The waiter was nowhere to be found most of the time. We had to beg for water. Our drinks and food were being taken away before we could finish and without being asked if we were finished. It took 45 minutes to get our entrees, which all came either cold or lukewarm. During this time, the waiter must have been adult-napped because he just vanished into thin air. When the entrees finally came there was no explanation or apology for the delay. We were brought our bill before we even asked and before we finished dessert and coffee. As he put the bill down, he asked if he could get us anything else - really?? What bill will you be putting this on then? Lovely restaurant destroyed by poor service.
Ate here for the 1st time on Nov. 25/17 and would definitely go back. Ambience was very nice, the staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and the food was excellent!
The menue can best be described as bizzar. With odd ingredients. Creative but not in a successful way.
The appetizers, intended to be shared, were too small. Maybe enough for 2.
The wine list is small but with some notable bottles.
But The Chase always reinvents itself. I look forward to its next iteration, with no regrets for the present one.
