   Great experience. It is clear that students are learning serving etiquette, but it does not interfere with the dining experience. Food was delicious. We had a student award winning dish - wish this had been mentioned on the menu. Will definitely return.

    This restaurant has always been on my bucket list and I have no idea why I haven't been here sooner! My friends and I booked a reservation on OpenTable 3 weeks ago for 5:30pm on a Tuesday night. Best decision ever because it was right when they opened and it was not busy whatsoever, which made the experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant is all run by George Brown students, from the server to the chefs...it was an incredible experience. The menu had so many options for appetizers, mains and desserts. They had a great drink selection and after meal beverage menu. As this is a learning kitchen, there is a tv to showcase how the food is prepared and it is an open kitchen. It was the students second service and the food was incredible. Every meal and taste was delicious, seasoned to perfection! The quality and quantity of the food and cooking beats a lot of restaurants in Toronto and I'm surprised at how it's rated on Yelp! For the price and the amount of food, you are getting a great value.

    It was fascinating to observe the students during their first week of work. The volume of the music was a challenge to our soft-spoken server, who was tentative but attentive, but actively supervised. Lovely room. Food was well prepared, with creative touches, but the best part was the pricing, much less than the same quality elsewhere. Tips directed to scholarships is a great idea. Recommended to those who want to support the industry's future while being well fed.

    It is hard to believe that The Chefs' House @ George Brown College is a training facility... our experience is that we have been treated as royalty: service, food, venue... impeccable. I had the Roaster Salmon, it was cooked in a way that released more flavours that I have ever tasted before, just wonderful. And don't get me started with the Chefs' House Mushroom Soup, truly unique: finally someone who knows about releasing the exuberant flavours of mushroom... the soup was just unending pleasure with a consistency so perfect I will never forget (and I will go back again for it).

    I like the concept supporting future talents. The place is pretty cozy and excellent service! The food can and presentation of the plate can improve though. The welcome Focaccia was a bit salty and it would be nice if it's served warm. The Crispy Cod was just ok, taste can improve. The Burrata/Roasted Plum and Pan-Seared Seabass was absolutely delicious! The steak & fries can improve, fries were good but steak was not good, it was chewy and the look of the meat was not appetizing. The desserts were ok, it was too sweet for me and can also improve presentation. I like the $8 dollar wine/bubbly. Overall, experience was good and I would go back because it's a support for the students.

    The potatoes were lumpy, too small meat portion, cabbage in salad was soggy, the carrot cake was very dry. I do not understand why George Brown College does not produce a better wine list in it's restaurant.

    The Chef's House is one of my favorite Toronto restaurants. Your servers and chefs are all students, so you are eating someone's homework...and everyone wants to pass~! The menu is excellent, portions are not oversized and nether are the prices. There are vegetarian and the occasional vegan option. I can recommend the Chef's House without reservation.

    Service at the table was not good. The waiter attended first men and left the woman at the table last. In my opinion that is not acceptable. For courtesy, women first. I quietly mentioned the point to the waiter but he continued servicing us the same way. I believe waiters should be informed that when women are at the table, they should receive the card and the service first.

    Food was tasty and portions were just right for lunch. Staff were attentive and pleasant and will certainly build confidence with more experience. As I took a 93 year old for a birthday lunch with her daughter, we were three at a round table and my aunt could not hear well across the table, until most of the other patrons were gone. The noise level is a problem in most restaurants so is not a reason not to come. It was a nice outing overall.

    The quality-price point was really quite impressive. the presentation was only to be outdone by the flavours. Service was on point and the servers were engaging without hovering, which is a true talent/skill. This was my first visit to The Chef's House. I plan to attend their summerlicious.
