Once more, we were rewarded with a wonderful birthday meal at the Chop House. From the perfectly dressed kale salad, house salad and lobster bisque to the tuna (huge portion beautifully seasoned and cooked) and the most amazing crab and lobster cakes we were pleased. Sides included lovely Brussels sprouts, sautéed mushrooms and spoon bread, with portions so large we’ll enjoy some for the next two meals. The Chop House tops this off with very professional unobtrusive staff ( oh, and don’t forget the tasty Zingerman’s breads); we have a favorite server now, Shawn, who is personable, knowledgeable and efficient. Favorite Ann Arbor restaurant.

We went for their restaurant week menu, which was excellent. It’s a very romantic setting, but it felt comfortable. Our server was attentive and fun. It is a very pricey establishment when it isn’t restaurant week, so it’s certainly a “special occasion” type of place, but they do make it feel special.

We went for restaurant week. SO GOOD and what a deal. we often go during restaurant week or for the birthday deal. delicious food but a bit out of our everyday price range.

First time diners... Service was impeccable and our waitress, Anissa, was top notch! I had filet, and my husband had porterhouse. Both were cooked perfectly and very delicious. We got the au gratin potatoes and the mac and cheese. We felt the Mac and cheese was dry, and potatoes were a little bland, but the portions were huge. $160 bill cut in half because we dined on his birthday. I would gladly pay $80 again if I'm getting different sides, but would not pay $160.

The décor of Chop House is elegant and tasteful. My oysters on the half-shell were
fresh and succulent.
My entrée selection of Dover Sole was excellent. My Grandaughter selected scallops
as her main dish along with the Mac and Cheese side....she enjoyed,
We will return.......

Hair was in my food, not worth the price at all...would not dine here again
