Sindy was amazing!
Steak always prepared to perfection ~ rare! Have never had to send anything back, not even the steak which seems to be the norm at other fine dining establishments. Great cigar lounge, supberb selection, and lovely wines and champagnes too! Love this place ❤️
Really loved experience. Food and service were great. It was very expensive but very enjoyable. The only negative thing I would say is it was very loud and my table was very close to the one next to me so I could hear there whole conversation. Other than that I loved The Chop House.
The food was good but I’m not convinced it was worth the price especially with no sides included. It was very noisy and dark too.
Expensive, but the meal was to die for. Perfect in every way.
Glad I don’t drink anymore, (bill would have been twice) great wine list.
One of the finest dining experiences we have had.
Always an enjoyable evening at the Chop House
Very nice staff and amazing food
The food here is outstanding. While Ann Arbor has a lot of delicious choices, this is one of the few that I would rate as being truly impressive. The appetizers were spectacular, the mains amazing. They also have an excellent liquor stock and seem to have bounced back from a little weakness over the past year or two on that front. Great place!
Everything about Chop House is extraordinary. We lamented about our favorite place being closed today, yet after the first few bites we knew we had a new favorite dinning spot. Wow! The rolls are divine, served hot with a delicate cheese inside.
An absolute must try are the crispy lobster bites, and the jumbo lump crab and lobster cakes... delicious! My all time favorite meal, Chilean Sea Bass was served with a purée and sautéed/roasted tomatoes and sprigs.
Food usually very good but venison on this occasion was overly rare in center and chewed. Fish, Brussel sprouts, staff, waiter and everything else was excellent.
Great place. Great food. Fantastic waitress. Went for our Anniversary. We'll be back again.
We had a wonderful time ! I was hoping to get our favorite waitress Eman. But she wasn't working and asked Sheldon to wait on us! What a treat! We had a wonderful time and my daughter said it was the best dinner she has ever had and the experience was wonderful!! Sheldon was wonderful and made our evening extra special!! The staff was wonderful andthe extra smile I got on my way out was funny!! Thanks Eman and Sheldon!!
This is by far the nosiest restaurant I’ve been in. Ruth Chris has tastier beef. Seating in cheek to jowl. The waitress could hardly fit between my tables the one next to me. For an expensive restaurant it was not a pleasant experience.
Went to the Chop House for my parents 50th Anniversary dinner. Food was excellent and the service was 5 Star. Our sever Pam was fabulous, it was a great night and I will be back!
I really enjoyed my visit with family to the Chop House. The customer service was amazing and the entire staff went above and beyond to make the occasion special.
It was a nightmare experience. The waiter spilled the martini dumping the lid into the glass spreading ice and liquid everywhere. A few minutes later he knocked over my partner’s water glass sending water all over me. By now the table and I were water logged. We were not offered a dry table or a fresh drink.
Filet cooked to perfection. Popovers are to die for. Excellent house salad. Mac & cheese & creamed corn delicious sides! The only thing we didn’t like was where we got seated-the small room with blaring lights on the wall. Dim the lights please! Not exactly a romantic/soothing ambiance.
Celebrating our wedding anniversary. Food and Service was outstanding!
Sheldon was absolutely outstanding! He made the experience great. Thank you Sheldon!!
We had a wonderful dinner at The Chop House and our waiter (Walter) provided outstanding service.
Great food and service!
We have always been pleased by our experience at the Chop House. Food preparation and service are very professional without being stuffy. Our waiter, Luke, was congenial and informed so that he could make recommendations, without us feeling pressed. On this occasion we ordered as though this was a tapas restaurant, sharing soup and salad, and then ordering three “accompaniments.” Brussels sprouts are a favorite of mine, and were particularly good this time (the chef used baby sprouts!). Likewise, the tuna appetizer was amazing. Our favorite dish was a new one on the menu, red crab gnocchi. It would easily satisfied as an entree but great to share.
Great expectation and these were met for the most part. Somehow the reservation went through as 7:00 and 8:00---we showed up at 7:45 and the staff put us into the seats we requested. (window)
We came at the peak noise time---no fault of the restaurant.
The staff and manager were exceptionally great
Went for restaurant week and the carrots weren't cooked all the way. The steak was just ok. The dessert was great though. This was only my second time and I have been less than impressed both times. Won't be back. Even for restaurant week I felt it was overpriced.
Exceptional all the way around. The Chop House never disappoints
Absolutely love Chop House for fantastic dinner. Restaurant Week is a special treat.
Luke, our waiter was very personable and made our celebration extra special by all the attention he gave us. Our food was delicious and we liked the birthday deal you offer. We hope to come again soon.
Always contented. This is my No. 1 special occasion place.
Thanks for the job well done.
Waited tooooooo long
Do not go there!
We’ve dined many times at the Chop House. This experience was for our 10th anniversary and it was incredibly disappointing.
Service was poor, plates sat at table unnoticed, steaks cooked incorrectly. Server never followed up regarding steak temps. Fruit flies at table. Salad was watery. Food was tasteless. So sad to see such a wonderful restaurant go downhill.
For better food and service go a street over to Ruth’s Chris.
The Chop House is a great spot for a birthday celebration! Food was excellent and the service was great and knowledgeable. Went there a bit early to enjoy a happy hour drink special!
Took my husband for his birthday on the recommendation of some co-workers. Best steak we’ve ever had. Well worth the price. They offer a large discount on birthdays but once you try their food you’ll want to come back more often. Not an establishment you’d wear jeans and a t-shirt to but I imagine even if you did, the staff would still treat you like an honored guest.
We went for my mother’s birthday. This place
was amazing from the menu to the service! We will definitely go again
We think that the Chop House is the best in Michigan. Every time we go our opinion is reconfirmed. The food and the service are exceptional.
Eaten here several times and each has been very good. Nice menu with some not often seen dishes, good steaks and more, great side dishes and apps. Service is attentive, friendly and not overdone. Extensive wine list and downstairs cigar lounge that have not tried yet. Not inexpensive but good value. I eat out a lot in many cities and this Ann Arbor local restaurant is one of the best overall places I've been.
Excellent food and service, again, at the Chop House!
Excellent service and the food was delicious. From the grilled romaine salad to the amazing dessert, everything was perfect!
The best food my husband like was the lobster crab cakes, the rest was just ok. Not fantastic not "oh we have to come back". Just ok.
