Excellent food, service, and ambiance! It is great place for fine dining. They have a wide range of entrees from Italian to streaks and lamb chops to seafood and poultry dishes. All are excellent!
My date and I have enjoyed the Courthouse Grill on several occasions. Most enjoyable!
Everything was great as always! A gem in Plymouth.
Very good food as always, when we visited this restaurant. Some furniture is a bit outdated (armchairs at reception lobby) but most in good condition following English style. Available separate rooms very suitable for celebrations of privacy during business dinner. Lounge / bar with excellent selection of spirits and live music towards the end of the week. Nice place and clearly worth the money.
Celebrated our anniversary with a wonderful meal here. We love this place!! As always, the food was perfect, the service attentive. It is a drive for us but definitely worth it. We weren't aware of the upcoming closure of the restaurant (within a few months) until that evening, and are so disappointed, since it has been the scene of many happy celebrations for us. We plan on visiting again soon, while we still can.
Understaffed as they will be closing soon. Food came out to cold. Service was sparse at best.
Food was excellent for our special occasion. The filet was cooked perfectly, very tender and had great flavor. I’d order that again!
The overall score is down a bit because there was a fruit fly in my cocktail. The host whisked it away, apologized profusely, and removed it from the bill. No harm done.
Became a future story to tell about this anniversary.
Food was very good. Service excellent. Wine was on special which made it very affordable. Music in the bar area was not over powering in the dining area just right . Overall we will be going back.
Very good experience. Good food and service.
Really good food and service. So sad that they are closing after 80+ years of fine dining.
Good food and the building is beautiful. Book a banquet room for a wedding reception. We met with
the owner and he was very helpful.
Great place to meet friends for great conversation! It was very quite there on the weekend night. The staff was attentive and not in a rush to get us out. Good food!
Gosh. So underwhelming. The lunch food for each of the four of us was fair in quality, presentation, and taste. The room has stuffy and not sufficiently cooled at all on a very hot day. Staff was not particularly welcoming or attentive. Would not return or recommend.
I was a little anxious about how the food would be because the decor was pretty much plain white bread. But the menu was good, the reviews were good, and lo and behold, the food was very good. Tasty and plentiful. Very pleasantly surprised.
Tha chicken/cherry salad with cherry vinegrette was delicious. The minestrone soup had a kick to it and was very tasty. The waitress was very attentive.
Parking was good. Reception and seating was quick. Cordial, and efficient. The server was most pleasant. The menu selection had a broad spectrum of offering. The rib eye steak and sides were excellent.
We were there celebrating my birthday, which was mentioned. Server never said happy birthday or suggested that they have a birthday dessert. I ordered the strip steak along with a baked potato (said there was only 1 left) this was at 6:00p!! The steak was under cooked and the last baked potato was way over baked. Very disappointing
The waiter was either very inexperienced or just not on the ball tonight. Food came out cold. Just everything about it was wrong. The food was mediocre at best. Will not be going back.
The restaurant is cozy and friendly atmosphere. It has a fine dining feel and reasonably priced. Food is good and love the Sangria.
So sorry it is closing.
Meh. Decent food at fine dining prices.
Nothing was bad, but nothing was nearly as good as the bill would indicate.
We went to the courthouse after a commencement ceremony. While the food was delicious, the wait staff seemed somewhat poorly trained, where a couple arguments broke out on the floor and our food order was somewhat confused.
We had an excellent family graduation dinner here. Food and service were great. The environmental elements are a bit out of date;however the dining experience and overall value had everyone in our difficult to please party very happy.
Excellent service, Chloe was so friendly and recommendations were fantastic. Nice place to celebrate my sons UMICH graduation!
Service was slow but food was good.
Restaurant did not have record of my Open Table reservation even thoughI had gotten a confirmation email. No problem getting a table. Ordered a Chardonnay but it was delivered in a White Wine standard glass. Chardonnay was fresh though but standard goblet did not render the slight oak finish I was hoping for. Salmon was very good, house salad dressing was very good, fresh rolls are awesome.
The food and service is always reliable in this comfortable, cozy restaurant. There is a nice wide variety of food choices and specials for every day of the week. We like 1/2 off a bottle of wine on Wednesdays!
We were greeted by an attentive, pleasant young woman, seated us immediately. Our wait-staff came within a few minutes of our seating and greeted cheerfully. She asked if we cared for drinks and if we had questions on the menu, and then gave us a few minutes to look over the menu while she got our drinks. The service was pleasant, efficient, and just the right pace on serving our food. The wait-staff keep our water filled and dishes cleared promptly with out being intrusive. The food was served hot, tasted good, and portioned right. Our bill was priced commensurate for the dinning level. Over all we had a pleasant dinning experience and will return again.
The service here was friendly and prompt. The decor is dated. There was a Christmas tree still standing inside the entrance that had been decorated for Valentine's Day even though it was now March. The food was mediocre. There was live music in the bar that could be heard in the dining room that was not pleasant to listen to- kind of like bad karaoke music. We will not return to dine here.
Great food with good singing entertainment that was appropriate sound level for dining and conversation.
Food was excellent I had the Veal Cherry and my Husband had the beef medallions and shrimp.
We also had the flat bread app. all the food was wonderful.
Food and service were both very good. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were informed that the restaurant did not have our reservation. It was explained to us that open table had allowed reservations to be made without the restaurants knowledge and were facing overbooking. We were relegated to a back room that had the feel of a back porch with carpet. I suspect the other diners on the porch with us, all suffered the same overbooked fate, as I heard the hostess explaining the problem with open table, to others as well.
Wasn't thrilled about the ambiance for valentines day, did I mention the incline on the floor, but the food was very good, so I wouldn't let it keep me from going back. Next time I'll call the restaurant for a reservation.
Had reservations, we were not going to be seated for 1+ hours, empty tables that were not bused, only one barmaid, as we were walking out manager was in Office oblivious to floor needs. Multiple customers just as upset. Ridiculous and terrible performance for such a big night - Valentine's Day.
Disappointed that I made 7:30 reservations and didn’t get seated for FORTY minutes after at 8:10. Food was good but we didn’t get our salads for another 45 minutes so instead of eating at 7:30 we ended up eating at 9:00 pm. It seemed like the staff was ill prepared to handle the demand...not sure why I made reservations.
Our table was ready at the time of our reservation. 6:30pm. Our food didn’t arrive until after 7:30pm. We had drinks and apps to play with. My streak was a bit burned/charred as if it was hurried. I didn’t say anything because our waiter said “lucky for you, these are our last ones” and the table next to us also received their food after a longer wait. Food was ok. Slow. Great atmosphere and enjoyed the dinner / time with my wife. I’ve been here before and had better food and service.
Came to Courthouse Grille for Valentines day. Our meals were tasty and waitresses were pleasant and timely
Nice waitstaff, and great food. Waited over an hour for the main dish. Might’ve been understaffed in the kitchen or they were out on the water catching my dinner. Tables were quite close to each other which made it less personal and private. Could use some up to date renovations on the interior. Seemed kind of blah.
We have visited this restaurant many times and have always had pleasant experiences until this lunchtime visit on Valentine's Day. Upon arrival we noticed that only one table was occupied in the main dining room. We were surprised when the host seated us next to that table. Since it was next to the fireplace and the other table had just received their check, we accepted the table. Within two minutes two elderly gentlemen arrived and were seated next to us, despite the fact that the entire dining room was still empty. It was obvious that these men had bad hearing because they both spoke so loud that we could not carry on a conversation without practically yelling across our table. Needless to say, this was not the nice lunch I intended to have with my wife on this special day. To make matters worse, my wife's Lobster Mac and Cheese had very little identifiable lobster in it. These disappointments by both the host and chef will make me think twice about visiting again, considering the numerous dining options in our area.
The staff was courteous, efficient and hospitable, and the food was tasty and well presented. We'll be stopping by again soon.
The whole experience was great, food tasted great, many options to choose from and the service was quick. We will definitely be going back!
We’ve celebrated birthdays here before. It seems almost out of the way, very near residential areas of Plymouth rather than downtown. Parking is very easy, and at lunch at least the dining room is very quiet. The entire waitstaff is very congenial and easy to work with, from suggestions to service and attentive response.
We both ordered the Kobe beef burger, which was huge, and prepared exactly as specified.
For our “twin” birthdays, actually a couple of weeks apart, we were offered desserts which were marvelous - triple chocolate cake, and cannolis, freshly filled and excellent.
