The service and ambiance was wonderful for a date night, and it wasn’t too noisy and crowded for a Valentine’s Day evening. There was wonderful music and we could still have a good conversation.

Came for DineLA. Cute location. Food was fine. Service was friendly, but very slow considering it's a small place and was barely half full on a Thursday. Except when they finally brought dessert, and then the bill came a minute later. It felt like a cute bar that was trying to be a restaurant.

Dropped in for dinner with some "foodie" friends from out of state. They loved everything about this place. We've been coming here since they opened and they never disappoint. We ordered about 8 different menu items - (some to share), and we each got a crafted cocktail. Service was great, as always.

The place was so loud and on top of it the table next to us of 3 older men was so loud we left and went next door to the Corner-something. Sat outside but it was quieter and the food was really good too. Detour was a super fail!

Everything was great but the French toast was not inventive or exciting. I tend to look for something more than i can get at home. Other than that, everything was inspiring and creative. Loved the Prosecco grapefruit mimosas!

The banana bread was the bomb, but the rest of the food was just OK. We had the mussels (eh), the bistro burger (eh to good), and the grilled cheese (liked this the least). The service was great, the ambience was chill, so I was hoping to like this spot, but the food just isn’t worth the price IMO.

Friendly neighborhood feel with attentive wait staff. Nothing really outstanding on the menu but everything we tried was decent but nothing to get excited about. Roasted curry cauliflower was ok, beet salad was ok, hummus was tasty but a bit weird; lots of mushrooms on top but the hummus was runny. Menu could be expanded with more appetizer and small plate options. The bread pudding was, however, excellent!

We didn't have a great brunch here. There weren't many patrons here so it initially seemed comfortable but empty. Looking past patronage and the the bar decor, the openness to the street doesn't work here. It's way too loud and the sound of traffic seems to be focused into dining area. The food was unrefined and tasted more like diner food than bistro. I am dubious of the farm to table label. Also both of our dishes, for some reason, had egg shell scattered through them. I am saddened to say that it ended up being a poor experience for us.

It's a small place and the decor is rustic, but the food is great and the service very friendly. Enjoyed the blue cheese burger with sweet potato fries, crab cakes, gnocchi, and whitefish in parchment. Because it's close quarters, the noise level got a bit loud, but we'll probably come back to check out the rest of the menu, especially since it changes seasonally.

I went there for dineLA, we had the shaved leg of lamb on a pita, it was more like a pizza, sounded good, but the pita (pizza) was pretty soft, it would have been better a little toasty as it was served as a pizza. I love paella, but I am always skeptical about ordering it, I asked the waitress about it, she said it was really good but spicy, I love spicy so I decided to give a try. Paella looked beautiful, had nice ingredients but lacked flavor, it wasn't even spicy, at all, maybe they forgot the spice? Regardless, it should have had some flavor even if the spice wasn't there, but it was just bland. The chocolate molton cake was terrific as well as the farmer's salad!

Detour – what a pleasant surprise. Our server was nice and perky. Servings were generous. Loved the meatballs – full but airy, not dense. Loved the shaved lamb on pita. Loved the beef – nice and rich! And the molten chocolate cake definitely delivered.

My 'spicy' margerita was nothing neared to be spicy tasty... bland yet bitter as of the worst drink I've ever had. We all 4 had DineLA dinner but none of us were satisfied (meatball was dry, salad was just green & dressing as you get in Denny's, other dishes were forgotten easily). I really don't know HOW they've recv'd high rating?!

We picked this little place as we were searching for dineLA options nearby. We were pleasantly surprised that this little place that seems to function more as a bar has such good food. Among the 4 of us that went, we had many of the options on the dineLA menu. Highlights for us were the salad of grilled fruit with burrata, the hummus with mushrooms and the bouillabaisse. There was a well rounded list of wines by the glass, and the markup was reasonable. We'll be back.

Where do you go on a Saturday night when you want a delicious, fairly priced, casual dinner? We expected a good meal, and got a GREAT meal. Beer/Wine/Cocktail list was perfect. Had a lovely Moscow Mule and hubby had Guinness. Watermelon/Feta Salad was a refreshing and delicious start to our meal. My husband was delighted with his beef bourgegnon on a sublime sweet potato mash. I don't eat meat but I did try the mash, and it was heavenly. I loved my whitefish with Israeli couscous in parchment. The flavors were so delicate with just a bit of spicy heat to add interest. I'm very particular about my fish, and this was a large succulent piece cooked perfectly - not overdone. We also enjoyed the chocolate soufflé for dessert. A small wonder with raspberry sauce and cream on the side. A perfect meal - can't wait to return to try their butternut squash/brie flatbread.

Good small plates, drinks and entree. We had the watermelon and feta salad which was refreshing. The meatball flathead had lots of good meat. The BBP toast which had lots of prosciutto but could have used a bit more burratta. The drinks were small but well made. Service was attentive and not overbearing. I am surprised this place does not do more business bc it was a quality dinner.
