THE DOCK located in NEWPORT BEACH CALIFORNIA requires a valid credit card to book reservations on-line via OpenTable and via our website or you may contact The Dock at 949-673-3625 to provide your credit card. We have a 24 hr cancellation policy. The Dock reserves the right to cancel your reservation without a guarantee.
We DO NOT accept table requests. We only have 12 tables. We are a very small intimate restaurant and every table has a view of the bay. No pets only ADA defined trained service animals.

    I think the dock is the best restaurant in Newport Beach and orange county. Their meals are gourmet and the chef is definitely an artist. The whole staff is friendly accommodating, and they know what they’re doing. I’ve been going there a long time and I can say, without a doubt I have always been amazed. Good job to the staff of the dock.

    Amazing food that tastes as good as it looks! Such a refreshing experience where the food and service are forefront and the hype is thankfully absent. No giant $150 seafood tower here - but you will get perfectly cooked halibut on sublime risotto - which was also perfectly el-dente. The blue-crab beignets are unique and as savory as it gets. We did a wine pairing that was perfect and informative. From Annette who kept tabs on our reservation to Eric our waiter, everyone was intent on making sure we enjoyed everything we ordered. It was our experience that The Dock was interested in making top notch. Cannot wait to go back.

    What a gem!! Celebrated our friend’s retirement at The Dock and it did not disappoint. The food was so flavorful and the presentation was beautiful. The service was amazing. Eric was so knowledgeable of the dishes and how they were prepared. The drinks were also very good. The ambiance was classy and seating was very comfortable. Only drawback was making reservations. They are so popular that when the date opened up by the time I checked there was no availability. They communicate well with reminders and parking information. Would highly recommend.

    By far our favorite restaurant in Newport Beach. The food and location cannot be beat. Not to mention the incredible team there. Eric, Tiffany and Debora are all top notch. They always make our time there unforgettable and we take all our friends and family to The Dock for special events. If you have not been, it is a must!

    This place is amazing!! We celebrated an engagement and the staff made our experience special and personal. Food was delish! We had lamb, halibut and salmon. The view of boats from the dock, sunset and chic ambiance was magical! It is pricey-for a party of 4 including champagne, wine, 4 entrees and dessert was $600 before the tip. But we considered it a gift to the newly engaged couple (and us)!

    Every time we dine here we are convinced it cant get any better. Well once again we were wrong. The evening was spectacular. Our servers were the professional team of Eric, Tiffany and Daniel . They were incredible at describing the menu and provided great recommendations . We started with a mushroom soup which had an earthy-smoky flavor with a smooth butter texture and the pork belly with roasted pineapple and coconut foam that was an amazing combination of savory salty and smoothly sweetness. For our main course we selected the Halibut with sweet pepper risotto. The halibut was the best I have ever had and risotto was the perfect compliment. The team at The dock makes you fell like family and several tables hugged their servers before leaving. Simply the best restaurant in Orange County!

    The Dock is amazing. Small, intimate and the food is very good. I gave it 4 stars overall due to the hostess being abrupt and borderline rude. Perhaps she was having an off night? Everything else was amazing, service, ambiance, view, and great food. I highly recommend The Dock.
