    High Tea at the Prince of Wales hotel is without question the best high tea in Canada. With tip and adding the cheese option ($10) your looking at $160 for two. Be prepared to take a take out box home because High Tea is a lot of food. Very rich and "Royal decadent " it is quite an experience!

    We were celebrating a very special anniversary and made note of it on the reservation but it wasn’t acknowledged at any point or celebrated in any way. Also, we received a water glass with lipstick on the rim and made a small request re: the types of sandwiches which were forgotten. Overall, a disappointing experience for a very special occasion

    The beautiful room and furnishings take you back in time to another era, lovely to experience. The service is excellent. Reservations easy to make with reminders. Food is good, not outstanding. Having cheese selections added to the cake tray with the sandwiches would be a good addition without adding to the base price of $55.00. The teas are excellent with lots of choice. Although pricey, it is a wonderful experience.

    Our server Diane was amazing. We have been here a few times this year and we have to say we are never disappointed. The ambiance and food is great !! The tea was outstanding and we had the seating just in front of the fireplace which was special for our friend's first time having "high tea". Great afternoon and Diane was a beautiful host and server. Definitely come back again. Thank you !!

    What a wonderful time we had! The food was outstanding, and there was plenty of it. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The rooms were lovely, particularly with the holiday decorations. It was all we had hoped for. We are planning to make it a Thanksgiving (US) tradition.

    Review is shared in spirit of continuous improvement. As a long time patron of The Tea Room at Prince of Wales, the food quality is perhaps the realm that has declined most. We had tea yesterday, scones were dry, sandwiches tasted similar to stale Wonderbread and sweets were of poor quality overall. Perhaps most disappointing was that both my tea (heavenly cream) and my husbands chai tasted burned. The service took a very long time, 20 minutes to take our order, close to 30 to serve and over 20 minutes of waiting for the receipt before we went to the front counter ourselves. The restaurant was not busy at all. My last visit was busier with more staff on hand but similar wait times. The staff however was wonderful and kind. I believe with minimal effort, cost and creativity management can examine these concerns and improve on the overall experience. For $160 for two for the basic package, there must be greater value and evolution.

    We love our experiences at The Prince of Wales. Our third time in a row for High Tea on as many birthdays. Our server was Brooklyn and such a professional, & kind person. I have a poppy seed allergy & there was great care taken to accommodate. The charm & authenticity of the venue is a wonderful experience. The food always fresh & a good variety. We will be back again. Thank you Brooklyn for a continued wonderful experience!

    The service, decor and food were amazing. The tea choices were excellent. Our server was very professional and wonderful! However, there could have been more filling/substance to the finger sandwiches. For a person with diabetes, this was a high carbohydrate meal.

    Reserved 10 days ago special needs diatary requirements. Upon arrival was told that they will try to make something up and if not they will provide an added scone. What was served was horrible. They found some eggplant which they placed in a refrigerated bun. It really was uneatable. My husband's sandwiches were dry. The deserts were soggy and stale. What happened to the drawing room????? We paid $55 per person Outrageous to pay over $140.00 to have 2 cups of tea and a scone. Will not be back Will not recommend

    We always love to have high tea at The Prince of Wales whenever we go to Niagara on the Lake. It is a great experience that you can't get in many places. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing and takes you back to a simpler time.

    Was a great afternoon activity for me and my wife on our Anniversary. The tea was excellent and the food was excellent. Our server Brooke was outstanding and the atmosphere was amazing. We are planning on taking our nieces back here next summer as they would love it.

    A lovely spot for a High Tea! Food was delicious. Heard one table was asked if there was any food allergies, wish they had asked us as I never thought about it. One sandwich could not be eaten. Still great though. Brought it home so at least it didn’t go to waste.

    Very popular and enjoyable. There is quite a but of selection and the portions are not skimpy. I was able to enjoy my tea plus take home leftovers. The tea I had was the ginger twist which was delightful.

    Everything was fabulous and accommodating. We had one vegetarian who got her tiered plate with all the goodies but no meat. Two who don’t eat sweets so no desserts however more of any alternate options. It was a lovely afternoon. I’ve been before however my 4 friends it was first time and they all loved it. Absolutely lovely! Highly recommend if you haven’t tried. Last time I came in August was with my husband who also loved it. Men and women alike enjoy this lovely, delicious experience.
