We had a very enjoyable afternoon Tea for 2. Our server Virginia was very attentive to our needs. We will be back!
Our waitress Victoria was helpful in selecting our teas as well as very attentive The festive atmosphere, the ambiance and the exceptional service have made this a yearly event
Absolutely wonderful experience and great service .
My husband and I enjoyed ourselves this past Sunday. Everything was perfect, the selection of teas, scones with strawberry jam and Creme Fraiche, the yummy tarts and yes all the sandwiches especially the smoked salmon. We had a lovely table and our server was very friendly and helpful.
we love going here for afternoon tea. the food is always delicious, and different. the service is amazing, they are always attentive and friendly. would highly recommend for a nice afternoon
As no Tea for Two special coupon was in the local Advance, we did not know the special was not available on Saturday or Sunday. Reservations were made online with no mention that this was the regular price. In our opinion the Manager could ha e reduced the bill as we are locals and frequent the Restaurants in the Hotel.
We had an amazing experience, great tea selection and warm scones. The service was wonderful and they accommodated us in the front solarium. We loved the Christmas decor
The staff and ambience was outstanding! Truly a beautiful experience to have with my daughter. The two for one special made it affordable and a special treat for her. Will come again!
Hostess was very unfriendly. No smile on her face. She definitely didn't make us feel welcome. Also, needed milk...told hostess as server wasn't around. Hostess went into the kitchen. She said she told our server. We waited quite a while for more milk.
My 9 yr old granddaughter wondered why the hostess couldn't bring us the milk. Service not the best
Unbeatable atmosphere and service! Highly recommended.
Having tea in the drawing room is a great experience. Highly recommended to all.
Enjoyed another lovely afternoon tea in The Drawing Room at The Prince of Wales Hotel. We took advantage of the two for one special and were treated to tea, fresh scones and a great variety of sandwiches and desserts. We appreciate our server Samantha and the fact that she remembered our visit from 2018. All in all, a great experience!
Food was sub par. Not like previous years
Loved that they added a new room and the afternoon tea here is always wonderful. However I preferred the turkey salad sandwiches better than the new egg salad and salmon sandwiches.
Everything was beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like was smoked salmon sandwich. This has been changed by prior visits
My daughter and I go a few times a year , we love it!
I think you need to make it very clear to your customers that you no longer do 2 for 1 special in November during Saturday’s and Sunday’s. And that the special is only valid for Monday to Friday. I was in for a big surprise when I paid the bill. Not too happy about this.
We made reservations for the high tea weeks in advance for my mother's birthday. When we arrived, we were seated near a window that was quite drafty, which made us feel uncomfortably chilled the entire time. The service was good however, the food was less than desirable. The bread used for the finger sandwiches was stale and all three of us became ill within two hours of eating. The hotel itself was beautiful however, I would not eat there again.
We went for the candlelight tea...we were really disappointed there was no candlelight. Which kinda was the whole point otherwise l could of went in the afternoon. Music was loud and really not appropriate for candlelight (even though there was none) tea.
Overall would not reccomend it.
This was a girls’ getaway weekend and our first visit to Niagara OTL. This was a nice experience but definitely overpriced. Not sure I will do again. Service was very slow. We heard other tables complaining about it as well. I just would have expected a little better for the price. Also thought there would be some history available to read about, but there wasn’t...not even an explanation from the waitress (about anything). Overall a positive experience for me, just not overwhelmingly so.
A stunning room with exceptional staff. Beautiful teas and food, exquisitely presented. It was marvellous ❤️
Such a wonderful experience. Loved it and would do it again. The sandwiches tasted precut and refrigerated but overall beautiful place, perfect setting and great service. Will definitely do it again
We always enjoy high tea in the Drawing Room, a wonderful treat!
Our afternoon tea experience was delightful! The area was decorated for Christmas already. An amazing way to spend the afternoon.
The food portion was skimpy; a super slim slice of cucumber on the sandwich; smoked salmon sandwiches aren’t very popular- wrong thing to serve at a tea; the sugar cookies were as hard as can be!!! No chai tea available- was on back order.
Service was fine
Would not recommend....wondering if they change their portions/variety due to November being 2for1???
The high tea service is always impeccable. They are accommodating to food needs, silly questions etc. the ambiance is the best I’ve seen in a tea room, this far. The food and teas are very tasty. We try and make it a few times a year, and always impressed.
We had an excellent evening for high tea! Food was delicious and service excellent.
The waitress was wonderful, she was from st. Catherines
We enjoyed tea and the service. We felt that the lighting was too bright. Please dim the lights.
I appreciate the service, i was hosted by samantha who provided an amazing service.
The Prince of Wales Hotel has an "oh la la" reputation, therefore most would think the high tea experience would be out of this world unique.
I can honestly say not the best tea room I've been too, it would rate a 5 out of 10 overall which would have nothing to do with the food, but the service excellent.
The tea also excellent.
The ambiance lovely but of course it's an old hotel and you can see there needs to be major up grades on the building it self as it looks tired and yearns the need to be restored.
Our table was wobbly, kind of annoying but I was okay with that, it was the food I was disappointed in. The sandwiches, not as fresh as they should be, not as original as they should be.
The cucumber was barely visible, the cream cheese pretty much non-existent. The smoked salmon sandwich, okay if you like smoked salmon, perhaps this should be a question asked, as our's were left behind only half eaten. The turkey sandwich was uneventful, tasted like my sandwiches I'd make myself as a young school girl for my lunch. The egg salad, bun was stale, egg salad very lean, more bun then anything, not fresh at all so that was a turn off.
The scones again I felt not as fresh as they should be, hard and not warmed much at all.
The cheese addition was very nice, but the crackers could be more original, I have better crackers at home for lunch when cracking open a can of soup. But the cheeses all excellent.
The desserts again non eventful, not wow factor by any means. I think they need a pastry chef to prepare certain pastries exclusive for The Prince of Wales.
Again overall nice but by no means WOW factor considering it's "The Prince of Wales" , if they can not knock it out of the park to make this experience more unique, I would not recommend, I am a foodie and it's got to be perfect and good every single time.
It’s my favourite thing to do in NOTL I recommend it to everyone
Everything was wonderful, I just notice the edges of the bread on the sandwiches are a little dried out from not being properly covered
Very disappointing tea. The one thing I always admired about the tea for two is that you get the exact same tea service items as the regular tea, until this month. The turkey salad was replaced with a pathetic egg salad on a mini bun. As if that weren't bad enough, there was virtually nothing on the bun but a dab of egg and the buns were stale. The scone, which is supposed to be the highlight of the tray was horribly over cooked and dry. The sandwiches were much smaller than the regular tea and a new one, salmon was introduced. As I am allergic to fish and did not know the menu had changed, I was very disappointed. The mini goat cheese bagel was replaced with a cookie? Not sure why that happened. Please, Please bring back the items mentioned and serve the tea for two patrons the same portions as the regular tea menu. Very disappointing from the Prince of Wales.
A wonderful afternoon tea experience in a beautiful setting.
A wonderful reminder of a time gone bye
Beautiful location and a very elegant setting
Afternoon tea was not a disappointment. Loved every minute
As always a great time at High Tea. Delicious food - the scones are amazing, friendly staff, and we love the ambiance. The tea for 2 made it very economical as well!
Excellent, as always. Great food, superb atmosphere.
Always the perfect ambiance for afternoon tea. Our server, Grace, was very friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Can’t wait to go back again!
