This is the place for a traditional afternoon tea! The selection of teas was extensive and I enjoyed my choice, as did my companion. The traditional tea came with scones, sandwiches and other goodies. The food was mostly good, but some tidbits were tastier than others. The service was quite good. Depending on where you are seated, the people watching is a real plus. We had window seats and had a blast. I would definitely return.

Really impressed with the afternoon tea! I had the gluten free version, and it was absolutely delicious, with just as much variety as the regular version. The atmosphere was perfect for afternoon tea

The ambiance/Victorian setting is lovely and a choice offered between tables or more relaxed love seats and winged chairs. Nice selection of sandwiches and sweets, although not necessarily traditional. I'd scratch the nanaimo bar in favour of a pound cake or lemon square. The price is comparable to other elegant tea rooms. The service was excellent and attentive. We had a most enjoyable late lunch and were not rushed. I would highly recommend to others.

It is always s pleasure to visit for afternoon tea. The Prince of Wales is a special place for me. I would bring my mom to Niagara-on-the-Lake for an afternoon stroll and we would always end up at Prince of Wales. It was a favourite spot of ours.

The setting and decor is very elegant and peaceful for a tea date with female family and friends.i would recommend the niagara blend tea and you don't need to add sugar. There was no pressure to finiah up quickly and you can enjoy your tea and relax. Only item served in traditional tea that wasn't to die for was the brown bread finger sandwhich.

Lovely ambiance and setting for a High Tea at The Prince of Wales Hotel. Appreciate the wonderful, most attentive service as well. Unfortunately, the tea sandwiches were small plain rectangles, very uncreative in presentation, made with only basic ingredients. Higher quality, more attention to improving the simple ingredients used in all your sandwich fillings, should be expected as a future goal for your tea room.

Enjoyed the ambiance, service and tea. Thought scones were delicious, but sandwiches a bit dry and fillings tasteless. Desserts were uninteresting and everyday.

I've been here for afternoon tea a few times now and it's definitely my favourite tea spot. One of the best quality tea selections and the sandwiches and desserts are always fresh and delicious. The location itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere and decor gives it a very authentic feel. This is about an hour and a half drive for me but I stop by whenever I'm in the area. Nothing else within a 1.5 hour driving radius compares! Great for birthdays, mother's day, a girls weekend, or something to do on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

It was my second time back for high tea. I enjoyed even more this time. The server was so attentive to all our needs. She cameto our table a number of times to ask if we needed anything. Looking forward to coming back in the near future.

We live locally and always enjoy a visit to Niagara on the Lake. I brought my mother and daughter to the Tea Room at the Prince of Wales Hotel to celebrate my mother's 83rd birthday. We were happy to be seated at a window table as requested and the whole experience was wonderful. Our server's name was Jodi and she was very friendly and helped to make the experience extra enjoyable especially for my mum.
Thank you Prince of Wales for upholding your standard of service....you haven't let us down yet!

2nd time for afternoon tea and brought a friend new to this place. Our server, Grace was very friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the Palace Chai with our scones, pastry and sandwiches. Love the decor of fresh roses and flowers. My friend loves the place and already made an upcoming reservation. : )

the service and staff were pleasant and the tea and food nicely presented and tasty. My only complaint is that we had an extra person who wanted to join us, when I tried to add them on line to our reservation I was told there was not room. When we showed up at the Tea Room, there was actually an extra place at our table that the waitress removed. We were very disappointed and it was too late to notify the other person to join us. I did put on the reservation that this was a Birthday , however no mention of that when we were served, I thought perhaps there would have been a special treat for the birthday girl.

I have been coming to the tea room for years but this time I was disappointed. We ordered the royal tea to share, which I've always done in the past and been fully satisfied. But this time the portions were smaller. One of the sandwiches was a 2 inch bagel with cream cheese. Really?!! Also, I don't like coconut and two of the 4 desserts were coconut. I can make sugar cookies and mini cupcakes myself. I was looking for something more special. I love the atmosphere but next time will probably go to the McFarland house.

Sister took very sick during daughter’s wedding in Punta Cana. This sister trip, for High Tea brought so many emotions to the surface, I got teary eyed as I entered the window seat during our afternoon! My heart filled with love for her, time shared between sisters, and the ambiance of your establishment will bring us back for many more occasions! Thank you for making this a must for future celebrations. The Rose throughout were beautiful, the service exceptional and the food delicious! Such a delight! 😋😍

I was with my mother here for the traditional tea. The tea was okay. Mine and hers both were weak. The food served was fine but the overall price for the two of us cost $81.35. This is extremely overpriced for what you receive. All the pieces of silver used for the service - for the food, cream and sugar were in very poor condition - obviously they are never polished. That was unbelievable for me! I would never have used any of those pieces to serve guests in my home, they do need to be polished. This place is supposed to be a high class establishment with the utmost care taken with every detail. I did not feel like that at all being there. Also, the wait staff literally left us alone for extremely long periods of time - not coming by regularly to check on us as patrons - or anyone else either.

Having the Afternoon Tea at the Prince of Wales hotel was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The solarium room was very comfortable and private...nice and quiet. They provided a tasty serving of finger sandwiches and an excellent pot of tea! It was truly a nice relaxing date! Special way to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

We were having high tea in the drawing room, I would recommend two scones per person instead of one. I would reduce the number of sweet treats and replace with savory. I would include an individual quiche as well. Overall great, delicious teas, would make the tea hotter, longer by each pot having it's own cover.
