We both loved everything about it.
Lovely afternoon tea with my niece and great niece - we enjoyed the teas and sandwiches and especially the setting.
Delicious food, great tea selection, and our server Victoria was great!
Victoria was an amazing
Made my birthday perfect... thank you
Overall ok. We had a guest who was sick day of reservation. So they changed our space to a cramped table in a cold corner and refused to give us the settee and chaise space. I had taken two senior women out for tea. This was disappointing, as when we were leaving there were three young people at the settee and chaise we had asked for.
We had a group of 9. When booking I was told the drawing room cannot accommodate groups of more then 6 so we booked a group of 5 and a group of 4 and planned to sit separately. When we got there there was multiple groups that were bigger then 6 and they told us they could have put us together had they known? So they squished us at a table all together. Disappointed that we were told one thing upon booking and something different when getting there. Would have been much happier if they booked our group of 9 together like I asked and like they did for others so we could have been more comfortable.
What a lovely relaxing peaceful way to enjoy your lunch with friends
A lovely experience. Victoria was very sweet as our server. And all the bread is made in house....lovely.
It was a wonderful experience and my wife and I will be back. It was calming and relaxing and the finger food was delicious. There was a broad selection of teas that made it difficult to pick from the many delightful choices.
Lovely setting and very pleasant staff. Great selection of teas and so nice that we could smell the teas before making a choice. Desserts were excellent!
The Drawing Room at The Prince Of Whales Hotel is a wonderful experience which includes good food, charming atmosphere and a delightful, intimate setting to enjoy your time together.
Beautiful setting. Very delicious food and very generous. And our server, Grace was outstanding in her attention to detail and her customer service.
I chose this as my Christmas present from my boyfriend. I love, love, love going here. It's like a taste of Downton Abbey here in North America.
It was very busy, so it is understandable that the service was slightly slower than usual. Otherwise, it was enjoyable. Can't go wrong with cute little sandwiches and other goodies. It is more about the overall experience than the foods or the tea. Staff are always polite and friendly , which is a bonus.
We celebrated my friends birthday at Prince of Wales. We had an amazing time. The tea is delicious and the scones are out of this world! I’m definitely going back. Brooke was a great server also.
afternoon tea at its finest, traditional and upper scale venue.
As ever, the Prince of Wales Hotel sets a high benchmark in every respect. My wife and I had afternoon tea during the Christmas Festivities. It was a delightful experience.
Was full with the Christmas crowd, but we were seated right away. Service was attentive, food was okay, and ambiance is wonderful. I am positive it only gets better on a non-holiday. I'd do it again, for sure. $51 per person for the full Monty is steep, but you get fruit/cheese plate, tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries.... we are foodies and skipped dinner that day. There are lots of cheaper options, so fear not. This is a very nice activity. If you are in the area, ya gotta do it!
In fact we loved it so much we said after our dinner in Niagara Falls on December 25 that we would have sooner had a second high tea instead.
I brought my daughter, and daughters in law. It was a great bonding moment, very relaxed. It is going to become an annual tradition.
Thank you so much.
This year we waited and waited to place an order and then to get our order. Service was extremely slow maybe they were understaffed that day. The hostess sets up the tea set and clears the tables which makes me question the cleanliness of the utensils etc.
Lovely way to get together with friends. We each had the traditional tea. My scone was overcooked and we could have use more jam, it was a pretty skimpy amount. In all fairness we did not ask for more but it was only about 1/4 cup which is only about 4 tablespoons for four scones.
Atmosphere was lovely with all the Christmas decorations.
It was our 5th year anniversary and family visited from the Philippines. We made a reservation but it was running late and we were asked to wait for almost 20 minutes. They were very busy but tried their best to keep a hospitable and welcoming ambience to the guests. Food was good and a lot for an afternoon tea. We all had the standard menu/set. We still ended up bringing 2 take away boxes home. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
Our experience was great this was our first time and will not be our last! Tea was fantastic
Fabulous tea. Food and tea was delicious. Wonderful service and experience. Only suggestion is that the lighting was a harsh 6000k cool white led in the room. A 2700k warm white light would add to the ambiance.
This was our third tea at the Prince of Whales. The tea selection is large and the china teapots beautiful. We enjoyed our tea, but were disappointed that while we said we were celebrating our anniversary in our booking, it was not acknowledged in any way.
We celebrated our anniversary with afternoon tea.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere, the room, the food and the decor all came beautifully together to make our first high tea experience at the Prince of Wales so memorable. The service was impeccable, everyone was all so nice and polite. We will for sure be back.
Really great tea out. Only complaint is they didn’t offer to take our coats and so I assumed they didn’t have a coat check. When we went to leave they offered the table being sat coat check but other than that it was great. Awesome teas the sandwiches and pastries were all awesome and the service was great.
We had a wonderful experience. They really went above & beyond to cater to my wife’s gluten & dairy allergies. Our server was very friendly & helpful.
A lovely afternoon in a lovely setting!
I thought I’d give them another chance after being disappointed 2 years ago, but sadly the high tea was worse. The bread was stale on the tasteless sandwiches. The scones were very dry and stale. The desserts were uninspired hone was actually a miniature banana muffin with some icing on top). My friend and I decided to split one High Tea $37.00 and the waitress said that was fine but it would cost an additional $12.00. The ambiance was lovely with Victoria decor and furnishings. The waitress was very short with us at the beginning but seemed to warm up as the meal went on. My suggestion would be if you are a tourist just pop in and have a look around then head off to one of the other million restaurants in NOTL.
Such a beautifully relaxing afternoon tea in the Drawing Room at the Prince of Wales hotel. The tea, scones, tea sandwiches, and sweets were wonderfully fresh, and tasty. Our lovely server was very knowledgeable and professional.
The hotel Christmas decorations made our afternoon. A really nice day in NOTL.
server wasn't very helpful with questions that we had
felt that she kept ignoring us
Fabulous setting. Superb treats. Copious amounts of food. A real treat!
Wonderful experience and the 2 for 1 offer made it even better!
Everything was great with the exemption of the salmon sandwiches as I am not a fish fan
We’ve enjoyed high tea each November for the dinner past 4 years. I found that the scones were very over baked and hard on the bottom. They were not at all the quality of years past. Perhaps a one time happening. It was otherwise lovely.
As always Afternoon Tea was a delight! The food is beautifully presented and delicious and you just must see the Christmas decorations at the Prince if Wales! This was a birthday celebration and it was a acknowledged in the dessert presentation. We chose the Prince of Wales Tea which includes a selection of cheeses. The cheeses are delicious and served with fruit. Our server was so pleasant and helpful. She was attentive to our service, was helpful in assisting me select an alternate tea because the one I had chosen was not available and she ensured our enjoyment of the afternoon!
