Amazing experience! As always!
Great food and great service! One of my favourite places to eat in Barrie.
Our server was amazing, we were all happy with our food. We went for Barrielicious. We had a reservation for 6 and at the last minute had another guest, I called the Restaurant and they were most accommodating.
This was a birthday party dinner. The restaurant accommodated our group on the patio and everyone enjoyed the food and ambiance.
The meals were all great and the service awesome.
Would definitely return!
Anniversary dinner, service was ok. Food was ok. Room was noisy. Overall experience was fair
Visited during Barrie's Barrielicious. Special menu and price so value was good. However, as it was busy, I feel food service was slow and some food options were overcooked. Some were great. Feel potential was there and they have a beautiful patio. I will go back as I expect service and food during other times would be better.
View of the lake was great. Service was decent. The food was not good and it’s very pricey. It was obvious the kitchen staff didn’t put much attention into what was being served. There were too many issues with the food to even list. Very disappointed. We don’t get out much with three kids and this was our first night out in awhile. We will try somewhere else next time.
Far too expensive for what you get. They adjust portion size for the $30 meal. $100 bill for 2 meals (Barrielicios) and a drink is fine dining prices for a casual experience. And not enough food. Comfort food and local ingredients should not cost this much.
Was great. But even for barrylicous. The portions seemed a “bit small “. If representative of normal portions. Then not sure I’d like to come back often.
Would definitely try again. But scared of standard pricing / portions
Excellent food atmosphere and service. Scenery is amazing.
Great food and exceptional service
Best Eggs Benny and mac n'cheese hands down. Yup you read that right. Mac'n cheese for breakfast, its seriously that good. Be sure to add chicken to your Goat cheese, roasted veg sammy. Its the bomb!
Food was ok. Side of veggies was supposed to have a Bok Choi, two of us actually didn’t get any. Caesar was watery.
One of the deserts was good.
We probably would try another place next time
This was my second visit within two years.
First visit, I was impressed with the ambiance, food and service.
This time the food was precooked/reheated and served semi-warm. As well, I was not impressed by the value of the meal and have already discussed my displeasure with several family and friends.
The waitress provided excellent service!
We love the Farmhouse, however it is very noisy. Hard to have a quiet conversation! Perhaps some fabric window treatments or tablecloths would absorb the sound. But the food is exceptional
Visiting from out of town and absolutely loved the food. You can really tell they care about selecting fresh ingredients. We will be back!
Nice quaint restaurant with nice relaxing atmosphere. Good quality food and great service.
The breakfast menu is small (which is fine), but we had to wait 30 minutes for our breakfast and they forgot the toast! We think that perhaps our order got missed placed, but there was no explanation as to what was taking so long, but you know something is up when people that came in after you are getting their meal when you are...
Food was great - nice location - service way too slow took 40 min for lunch to arrive
The food was amazing, as always!! The server was very personable and attentive, but did forget to bring our appetizer. He did make up for it by comping our desserts.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal and I would not hesitate to go back!
I will be back and I will bring many hungry people with me. Thanks for being so great.
Disappointed with the food. Sat on the patio. Very poor decor outside. Had a server who was in training and fantastic as was the person training her!
Went there because we knew it was one of Randy Feltis’ restaurants.
Probably won’t go back for a second try.
Great Service, Great Location and Great Food. What else do you need?
This was our first experience going to The Farmhouse and we would highly recommend it. We would definitely go here again. Everyone ordered something different from the menu and all meals were delicious. The chicken, steak and pork was absolutely amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection. Cheesecake is out of this world. This was a family get together and we were absolutely impressed by the food.
The service took forever. Once we were seated, we waited for quite awhile for someone to come by and take our drink order (more than 10 min). We eventually got to order our food, including a medium rare steak for my husband. It took quite a long time to come out. When the steak arrived, it was raw. Not rare or even blue rare, but raw. The mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy. No one came over to check on the food after dropping the food off. I could not see our server, so I tried to make eye contact with an employee, any employee. It took quite awhile. By that time, I had already finished my food. Overall, it was a very poor experience.
We had a family dinner on Sunday, ambiance is great! very pleasant atmosphere and we enjoyed our stay. Our food was fabulous large portions of food chicken sandwich was actually a large piece of fresh chicken not sliced pieces. Salad was great tasting, and baked potato was large and delicious. Way to filling for dessert that looked great.
Thank you so much
Outstanding service and great food. Will certainly be coming back for more!
Meals were excellent and tasty. Would be nice if there was a little more on the plates.
Food and waiter, Andy, were excellent. Was a little noisy - likely because was busy on Mother’s Day. Very nice atmosphere. A little pricey. Andy was very attentive and entertaining. We really appreciated his excellent service!
The food was fantastic. All 4 if us thought are meals were great.
We we’re expecting a special menu for mothers day. But nothing.
Everything was amazing . The only thing I found was missing was air conditioning. It's was very hot.
Thank you Cindy
Mother’s Day brunch
The trout was very good, but the salad and vegetable servings small compared to other venues.
We had to brush off the seats and table corner before sitting down and there was dropped food crumbs/pieces under the table next to us. So perhaps a 5/10 for cleanliness on this visit.
The overall feeling was that it was a rustic, casual roadhouse, not a dining spot.
That said, this was our first time there, and knowing now what the decor and atmosphere are, it is perhaps a better lunch spot than dinner spot.
Food was very good, and served in a timely fashion. Server was very good as well. We were beside a party that was a little loud.
We usually thoroughly enjoy the farmhouse, but this time the service was slow and the food was cold and overcooked. I had higher expectations as our meal is usually amazing and I was disappointed.
Great selection on the menu. We had the ma and cheese, crispy trout and avocado chicken BLT. All of it was delicious and we followed up with a crème brûle. I think it’s a bit pricey but still a great treat. Our waiter was not only prompt and attentive but hilarious which made for a great lunch our! Would definitely recommend !
Such a great start to the day, I love taking my wife for a breakfast “date”- service, food and overall feel is so nice! Perfect way to begin the day!
Food was fantastic and the service was perfect. Great location.
We all had different dishes, crispy trout got 5 stars, chicken received 5 stars, steak received 5+stars, mac n cheese was a 5 star too. The Eggs Benedict was well received as were the kids french toast and home-fries (wasn't that keen on the rye bread though, maybe have plain bread for kids?). The food was more than ample-servings, we didn't have any room for dessert, darn it! Our server was friendly and attentive. No complaints from our bunch.
