    This is my boyfriends favorite restaurant and has been for the last decade and taking his family this time around they now know why. The staff are so attentive and just overall fantastic. The food is wonderful and worth the money spent.

    Thank you for a wonderful evening . The food and service were excellent . It’s refreshing to see a restaurant maintaining excellence in a time of cutbacks . The food and wine were excellent as was the service and ambience. I will be returning on my next visit to Halifax and will recommend the five fisherman to anyone visiting Halifax .     Have dined at the Five Fish on numerous occasions with typically a group of 8 to 12 people. The service is always outstanding in the food is quite delicious. And with a large group, it’s always great that the food comes out together with many servers assisting, so that everybody can dine at the same time. 😊

    We had the best time at the five fish! The staff were so friendly and attentive, they even told us ghost stories and gave us a little tour. The history of the building is so fascinating and the food is amazing 100% of the time. Highly recommend the five fish when you want a guaranteed excellent experience :)

    Delightful restaurant!!! Ambiance and decor are next level. Food was exceptional, cocktails were unique, and server was excellent (only 4 stars for service because timing was compromised by a larger group). We thoroughly enjoyed The Five Fisherman - a MUST for your next visit to Halifax, or for your next special occasion.

    We started our meal with Lucky Lime oysters which were excellent. We highly recommend the Five Fishermen Experience as a main course. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the risotto was delicious. We had very good service: attentive but never intrusive. We had an enjoyable evening.

    For 4 years I’ve ordered the 5 fish experience as it’s always been spot on and recommended it to our guests. The wait was almost an hour for food. 3 of our five fish were cold but too hungry to even care. My son’s rib eye was 90% fat and unedible and the waiter brought over another dish which he was happy with. $420 with tip for 4 people. Underwhelming this visit. Waiter was great. Hence his fat tip.

    Disappointing. Cold food and overcooked entrees. We waited one hour 45 min for our dinner. Management was accommodating regarding the bill. I was so looking forward to dinning here but it’s not at the level it should be based on the pricing.

    Visiting Nova Scotia on Buisness and while there needed a place to dine and celebrate 🎉we decided to visit The Five Fisherman Let’s talk about flavour and atmosphere. We made a reservation on OpenTable staff friendly and attentive from the beginning. Then there was Sydney our server friendly and focused on excellent Dinning experience. All the food flavours worked together yummy lobster bisque & Oyster Rockefeller was my starter delicate but delicious followed by a tasty beet salad Perfect ! The Five Fish dosh was yummy lThis cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts , DELICIOUS dishes , beautiful presentation, wide wine list wonderful dessert . They made us feel welcome my taste buds were awakened like never before it was a wonderful experience. Please try for yourself date night, Birthday, anniversary, engagement, Graduation, wedding just to hangout whatever the occasion you will enjoy!! The Manager is great as well attentive and Hospitable.

    My husband and I were out for our wedding anniversary and we had the absolute best time! They had clearly read that we were out for our anniversary and made the evening wonderful. Food and service were fantastic and we even got a little history lesson on the building.

    My wife and I celebrated our Halloween anniversary here on October 28th 2023. Our waitress was extremely friendly, provided exceptional customer service and left a great impression on us both. The food was phenomenal and I would highly recommend the five fisherman to friends and family hands down.

    We had a simply magnificent evening; the service was exceptional and the food, beverages so delicious and inviting. We wanted to treat our family from out of town to a wonderful dining experience in Halifax and the Five Fishermen knocked it clearly out of the park. We were seated at the captain's table, our server had picked up that we were celebrating a birthday, and so thoughtfully offered us a complimentary sample of some extraordinary desserts on the menu. We felt pampered and well looked after, and our experience exceeded all expectations. The stars were aligned that night as we even found parking right in front of the restaurant!
