We invite you to come relax, enjoy, and allow us to do what we do best, for you. Located on the Avenue in Hampden, and open every night, The Food Market serves brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 3pm. Dinner is served on Sunday from 4pm- 10pm, Monday – Thursday from 5pm – 10pm, Friday 5pm - 11pm, & Saturday from 4pm - 11pm. Valet-Parking provided at no cost, nightly during dinner service, starting at the beginning of dinner service.

Went to the Food Market for a birthday dinner. Place was packed and server was attentive, but drinks and food were very slow to come out for all the courses. Dessert was fabulous and the entrees were good, but quite disappointed by the 3 appetizers we ordered. We've had great meals before here though, so will be back to give it another try

Our reservation got us in on the last day of the extended restaurant week menu—the special filet mignon was excellent, as was our faves the short rib and Amish pretzels (with the famous cheese fordue). Our server James was wonderful! I also had the best cocktail—the W.A.S.P.(whiskey and spicy pepper) Old Grand-Dad Bonded bourbon, ginger liqueur, lime, honey, jalapeno, ginger beer, bitters—so good! We had a great window seat for dog-watching on the Avenue.

The Food Market never disappoints. I love this place for any occasion, and any meal. This visit we endulged in the restaurant week menu, which is always outstanding and a great way to try many things on a budget. Wendy took excellent care of us during our date night, and was so much fun!

Lived up to expectations and then some. Service was attentive and our waitress really knew the menu and was incredibly helpful. So many creative choices and every item on our list was superb. Even the specialty cocktails are not to be missed. I will venture back here as there were numerous other menu items I am dying to try. And...I have no doubt they will be amazing.

We came for a girls night out during restaurant week. It was fantastic—only complaint is that once the restaurant was at mid capacity it was hard to hear my guest with me across the table. Other than that the duck was great and filet was perfect. The cocktails were lovely too. Our server was kind and happy to give suggestions when we had trouble deciding on courses!

Great food! We came during restaurant week, but decided to forego it and eat off the regular menu. The shrimp and grits probably had an ungodly amount of butter, but it was so perfect. We also got the grilled bronzini which was beautifully done with the skin cooked to a good amount of crispy. Personally, I ate the lamb chops which were cooked to the perfect medium rare with a good amount of seasoning and not the least bit of gamey-ness which I'm usually used to. We ordered every dessert to finish off the night (my favorite was the bread pudding; least was the crème brulee with the grapefruit- just too much of the same texture but good flavor). Would come again for sure! We did a brief stint a couple years ago where we went every day for a week!

Our waitress, Jennifer, was very good. Not to mention her gorgeous smile! We'll be back - all four of us loved our entrees.

always an excellent meal. some of the standard, must haves are the amish soft pretzels appetizer and the half baked blondie dessert. entrees change with the seasons/produce availability but the duck option always seems to be cooked beautifully

We go to Food Market pretty regularly, usually for brunch. This is the first meal that was not up to its usual standard. The Ham Steak selection featured a humongous slice of ham (more than enough for two meals) and eggs on an au gratin potato. Despite the request for medium eggs with firm whites, they came out pretty runny. There was no toast to mop up the runny whites.

The service was very good and I'm sure this was a once in a blue moon issue. We will be going back very soon.

AH-mazing! I had the best everything from The Food Market. Our mouths are still watering from that perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfectly charred filet mignon! And our waiter was so cool! He kept everything live and he was up front with top menu picks. I can't wait to go back!

We tried The Food Market during Restaurant week. It was very busy, but the service was very good. The cocktail menu was inviting and the drink I had was quite good. The food was good to very good. The "Cold Pizza" was good, but nothing special. The duck was very good. It was perfectly cooked, tender and well spiced. The sides were likewise perfectly cooked. The Health Bar bread pudding dessert was below average. There were Health Bar bits sprinkled on the plate, but almost none in the actual bread pudding. The bread pudding was dense and somewhat flavorless. I will go back because the menu is inventive and varied.

Pro: The veggie omelet was filled with various perfectly cooked vegetables and cheese. The others members of our party were just as impressed. Con: I’m on a restricted carb, no sugar and gluten free diet. I know, a lot of restrictions, but it really limits the selection.

Creativity at its best! Food is phenomenal. Selection admirable. Something for everyone( vegetarian options). The "small" plate of mussels were enough for 2. They were soo good! The pretzel/cheese dip lived up to its reputation- sinfully delicious. Mozzarella sticks with marina was yummy. We also got the fried soft crabatouille which was a feast for your taste buds, pork tacos, grilled cauliflower, and the coconut green curry- all were delicious. Finished the feast with their peanut butter pie and bread pudding which were good, but we've had better. Nice wine and beer selection. The zinfadel and sauvignon blanc were above par wines for decent prices(bottles). Service was friendly and attentive. Ambience- well it's an attractive place but VERY noisy. Not suitable for a romantic dinner. Highy recommend!

Fun but definitely a bit too loud for conversation. Perhaps some sound absorbing tiles on the ceiling or under the chairs?
